My name is Jillian Cain and I am so excited to begin my journey as a postpartum doula. I hope to be able to support families in the Salt Lake City area, including as far east as Park City, Heber, Midway. I believe that postpartum care is just as much about caring for the mother as it is caring for the child. If the mother feels confident and supported, they are able to be more present and relaxed while supporting their new family member. I became passionate about birth the moment I found out I was pregnant with my first. My husband and I met when he came to Missouri to do summer sales, and what started out as a summer romance turned into 14 years of marriage, 5 moves in 3 states, 4 children, 1 dog, and loads of fun. I enjoy board and card games, sewing, crocheting, movie watching, Dungeons and Dragons, and a good camping trip. I have dreams of one day living on a small farm with a variety of animals, doing birth work for animals and humans alike. I believe that birth is one of the most empowering and transformative experiences a woman can ever go through.
