I bring a heart-centered, holistic approach to birth work—rooted in deep empathy, empowerment, and unwavering trust in the sacred journey of motherhood. I believe birth is not just a physical experience; it’s a profoundly emotional and spiritual transformation—for the mother and the entire family. My philosophy centers on honoring your intuition, supporting informed choices, and holding space for you to feel seen, heard, and respected at every stage of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I am not here to take control. I am here to walk beside you, uplift you, and remind you of your innate power as a parent. My practice is grounded in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and the understanding that no two birth journeys are the same. I meet you where you are—whether you're planning a serene home birth, a hospital delivery, or anything in between. Through education, advocacy, and unwavering support, I help parents navigate their options and move forward with confidence and clarity. The postpartum journey is just as important—and sacred—as pregnancy and birth. I believe this period deserves just as much care and intention. My approach is rooted in nurturing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—while creating a soft landing for you to heal, bond, and grow into your new rhythm. Whether you're a first-time parent or welcoming another baby into your family, I offer nonjudgmental support, compassionate listening, and practical help tailored to your unique needs. From emotional reassurance and newborn care guidance to light housework and breastfeeding or bottle feeding support, I work to create a calm, grounded environment where your recovery and your baby’s transition are deeply honored. I see postpartum not as a time to “bounce back,” but a time to be held, nourished, and affirmed. You don’t have to do this alone. I’m here to make you feel seen, safe, and supported every step of the way. This work is more than a profession for me—it is a calling. A calling to serve, nurture, and restore dignity and joy to the birthing experience.

In January, I made an intuitive decision to hire Serene as my doula for my homebirth as a first time mother. From the start, Serene and I clicked. She was highly qualified and very well informed, yes, but most of all she was real! Throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, Serene treated me like a human being rather than just a client. I like that our meetings about birth plans weren’t just about checklists but rather a conversation so that Serene could really get to know me, what I wanted for my birth and my child, and determine the best way to support me. And support me she did!! During my approximate 24 hour labor, Serene was by my side through it all guiding me emotionally and physically. She was my advocate, my healer, my advisor, my friend, and so much more. I could go on about my experience with Serene but I will end it with this- I’m so grateful I was led into Serene’s care for my first baby. Thank you Serene

Omi-O Doula & Perinatal Care | Supporting You Through Every Stage of Birth Hi, I’m Fatihma Hudson, birth doula, childbirth educator, and founder of Omi-O Doula & Perinatal Care, serving families throughout Broward and Miami-Dade counties. My work is rooted in birth justice, informed decision-making, holistic care, and respectful maternity support. I help families understand their options, prepare for labor, communicate with their care team, and feel supported even when birth does not go exactly according to plan. I support hospital, birth center, and home births, including unmedicated birth, epidural birth, inductions, VBAC preparation, cesarean birth, postpartum recovery, and abortion and pregnancy-loss support. My experience includes training with the Southern Birth Justice Network, participation in doula and maternal-health initiatives connected with Jackson Memorial, and supporting families throughout South Florida through pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. I’ve also created comprehensive birth-prep workbooks, prenatal education curricula, advocacy tools, and digital resources designed to make childbirth education more accessible and easier to understand. Through @omidoulacare, I also share practical birth education on labor, interventions, informed consent, provider communication, comfort measures, VBAC, postpartum recovery, and preparing for birth with confidence. My approach is warm, educational, culturally aware, and personalized. I’m not here to tell you what your birth should look like. I’m here to help you understand your choices, prepare for different possibilities, and feel more confident using your voice throughout your care. Fathima is amazing! She’s sweet, caring, and informative. During your pregnancy, and even after , she’s available to answer any questions that you may have. In the hospital she’ll be your voice and advocator for you, your baby, and your birth plan. If you’re looking for a wonderful doula, I would recommend her.
