With over 20 years of experience supporting families across six countries, I bring a deep understanding of the diverse ways cultures nurture parent-child relationships. My journey into birth work began as a Health Community Worker, advocating for immigrant Latino families in New York. Later, while working at a mental health agency in Connecticut, I witnessed firsthand the profound impact that nurturing, consistent, and responsive caregiving has on a child’s development. This realization fueled my passion for family support and led me to become a Birth and Postpartum Doula, ensuring families receive guidance and care from the very start of their parenting journey. Three years ago, I earned my certification in Perinatal Mental Health, allowing me to further support families through the emotional complexities of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Fluent in both Spanish and English, I am dedicated to creating a compassionate and culturally informed space for every family I serve.

Martha brought a level of joy, reassurance and experience to our daughters birth we didn’t even know we needed. Every step of the way through my pregnancy she checked in on me and provided the guidance I needed. Our birth changed pretty rapidly but Martha’s positivity and expertise made the entire experience more enjoyable. We were able to really focus on the birth while she helped guide those around us on decisions we made beforehand. Pregnancy doesn’t just stop after birth, the emotional and physical work continues after you’re home as well. Martha is there by your side through it all! She helped change my postpartum experience immensely, I cannot thank her enough. I will forever recommend The Knitting Doula!

I had the privilege of working with Marianne for the birth of my second child. Her ability to create a calm and peaceful environment was truly remarkable. She seamlessly merged holistic medicinal practices with Western medicine, ensuring that I had access to a wide range of options. Her professionalism was outstanding, and she went above and beyond to educate me on the available choices and my rights as a patient. This level of support was invaluable during such an important and vulnerable time in my life. Hi there, Friend! I became a doula, because I realized my passion for prenatal care, birth, and postpartum support was not departing after my own experiences. My goal is to be able to help and support other women in my community. I desire to have them experience excitement and confidence in themselves that I hope leaves them encouraged. I have been through three pregnancies myself and have walked alongside many friends and family members journeys. I live in the tranquil countryside of Northern NJ, about 5 minutes away from the borders of Upstate NY and PA and only 90 minutes away from NYC! My husband of 10 years and myself were born and raised in Sussex County. We love where we live as it is quiet, beautiful, and allows us to continue our dreams of one day having our own homestead. We look forward to raising our three beautiful children here as well. As a collegiate business major and previous elementary/middle school educator, communication, organization, learning, and teaching are very important to me. Volunteering my time frequently allows my empathetic attributes to selflessly serve others and walk alongside my neighbors, peers, friends, and family. In my free time, I love being outside and active with people near and dear to me. I love to garden, take care of our chickens, cook, bake sour-dough, play board games, take hikes, and watch the occasional football game! When it is just my husband and I, you would find us reading or enjoying a nice conversation by the fire or outside in nature on the deck! I cannot wait to connect with you and hear about your journey into motherhood! Through communication, support, and love I am confident and hopeful to be able to come alongside you so you can experience strength, dignity, and laughter in all your maternal moments! XOXO

She educated me on so many facets of pregnancy that I was able to make educated decisions about what was best for me and baby! Just like I needed my husband by my side for the labor and delivery, I needed Krystal there just as much. Look no further - Krystal should be every expecting moms doula ❤️

Responds within an hour

DONA certified Birth doula, licensed massage therapist, personal trainer, Placenta Specialist and group fitness instructor, specializing in pre and post natal health and recovery. Hollie has had a love and passion for birth work for most of her adult life. After delivering her first baby 10 years ago, with the assistance of incredible doulas, she knew one day she would also become a doula. Hollie has been a massage therapist and personal trainer for nearly 20 years, working with pregnant and postpartum mothers, while raising her 3 boys. Once her youngest came to an age that she felt confident in moving into the birth worker world, she jumped in! Hollie has a deep passion for the amazing and magical experience of birth. She believes that every one who chooses to conceive, deserves the full support during this incredible time in their life.

Recent review

I honestly cannot thank Hollie enough for everything that she did to make my first pregnancy and birthing experience EXACTLY what I wanted them to be. I knew I wanted to work with a doula even before trying to get pregnant, because the statistics on medical care during childbirth for Black women in the US are shameful, and I wanted someone to be present during my birth who saw me as a person, and not just a patient. I reached out to Hollie towards the end of my third trimester, assuming the most I would get is some advice on how to finish out my last few weeks of pregnancy because it was so late, but from the first phone call, Hollie was genuinely interested in me and the family that my husband and I wanted to build and how we wanted to build it. She immediately made me feel safe. Hollie provided me constant support and advice whenever I needed it, no matter the time of the day. I always felt comfortable to reach out to her and never felt like a burden. Hollie was there for the birth of my baby girl and she set such a peaceful and encouraging atmosphere for me in the delivery room. She interacted really well with the hospital staff and made me and my husband feel equipped and knowledgeable enough to advocate for ourselves during my labor. Hollie had a great balance during my pregnancy and delivery of checking in without being overbearing or causing me to worry. And one of her superpowers is that she did a great job of giving information objectively without telling us what to do or making us feel pressured to choose one option over another. She was so incredibly supportive of all of our decisions. In the end, Hollie definitely set expectations well, and then exceeded those expectations. I never thought I'd be so comfortable during childbirth, and that is all thanks to Hollie. I couldn't have asked for a more kind, compassionate, attentive and knowledgeable doula than Hollie. Even now that my daughter is here, Hollie still checks in and I am able to ask her anything. If I have the opportunity to have Hollie present at all future births, I will do so in a heartbeat. I recommend Hollie to every pregnant woman I know and I truly hope they listen. Hollie is the absolute best.

Katia has been my postpartum doula and caregiver for my baby boy since February 2025. She consistently takes initiative in ways that truly lighten my load as a new mom. One moment that stands out was when she noticed I was juggling baby care and chores—without me even asking, she washed the baby's clothes and bedsheets, took out the trash, and even helped cut vegetables for dinner. She always notices what needs to be done and jumps in with such care and thoughtfulness—it’s clear she’s not just doing a job, but genuinely wants to support and nurture. This was my first baby, and I had never used a doula service before, so I was initially skeptical and a bit anxious about having someone new in our home during such a vulnerable and emotional time. But from the very beginning, Katia made me feel at ease. Although she has extensive experience with babies, she remains open and flexible—listening carefully to my needs and respecting our preferences. She remembered all the little things I mentioned and adapted her care accordingly. Even now, with my baby being 8 months old, I still turn to Katia when I need someone trustworthy to watch him for a few hours. That’s how much confidence and comfort she’s brought to our family. Both my husband and I are deeply grateful for her help—having Katia as our doula has been such a positive and reassuring experience. She made a lasting impact on our early journey as parents, and any family would be incredibly lucky to have her by their side.

I absolutely LOVED working with Seana and having her support after I had my son. She helped me in so many ways, whether it be emotionally, psychically around the house, and just being there for me in tough moments and transitions. As a new mom, she taught me things I wasn't comfortable with yet, like setting up my pumps and showing me how to use them and also bathing my newborn. We had so many great laughs and she really brightened my postpardum experience. I know with each month as he gets older, new challenges arise, and I can see us needing her again down the road! It's never too early or too late to have her support!

Hi, I’m Ryann, a certified birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and proud mom of four. I live on Long Island, where I’m raising my family and serving growing families in the community I love. My journey into motherhood has deeply shaped who I am and how I show up as a doula. I’ve experienced firsthand the joy, intensity, vulnerability, and transformation that birth and postpartum bring; and I carry that lived wisdom into every space I enter. Before stepping into this work full-time, I spent 13 years in corporate healthcare and hold a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. That experience gives me a strong foundation in organization, communication, and advocacy - skills I now bring into supporting families with clarity, confidence, and care. I’ve always had a passion for supporting women - for advocating when they don’t feel heard, for empowering them when they’re unsure, and for holding space when things feel overwhelming or unpredictable. My mission is to remind every mother that they are worthy of care, choice, and support — no matter how their journey unfolds. Whether you’re planning a home birth surrounded by loved ones, delivering in a hospital, choosing a cesarean, or navigating an unmedicated or medicated birth - I meet you where you are. There is no “right” way to bring a baby into the world, and I tailor my care to support your unique story, values, and vision. Through Four Roots Doula, I offer evidence-based education, emotional support, advocacy, and hands-on care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My role is to be a steady, calm presence - someone you can trust to show up fully, without judgment, with compassion and clarity. I am also CPR certified, adding an extra layer of preparedness and safety to the care I provide. Birth is beautiful. So is the strength that rises in you when you’re supported. I’d be honored to be part of your story.
