Born and raised in Brazil in a large, loving family, Kamilla grew up surrounded by caregiving. Inspired by her grandmother, a traditional midwife, she developed a deep connection to newborn care, maternal support, and nurturing practices from an early age. Her passion for postpartum care became even more personal after supporting her own mother through postpartum depression. This experience gave her a deeper understanding of how vulnerable, emotional, and overwhelming the postpartum transition can be. I have long been drawn to pregnancy and birth, and after the birth of my first baby at 16, I first trained to be a doula in 2005. I apprenticed and assisted with midwives for many years, and am also a trauma-informed social worker, herbalist, yoga teacher, and energy and body worker.
