first baby, plan to give birth at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, I have a primary insurance which doesn't cover doula services but my secondary insurance is PA Medicaid (UPMC for you), which will cover. I only have my fiance here (we live together) as the rest of my family is in Texas, and I need emotional support along with birth guidance. I am the only driver, so have to drive my fiance to work, so if I go into labor while he is at work, I will be alone until he is able to get a ride. And I am unsure how exactly I will get to the hospital short of taking an ambulance. I'm terrified of potentially going into labor alone. I would appreciate support any day if possible as stress is making things difficult for me. I am due December 13, 2026

Hello, my name is Shantelle Tull. I’m expecting my first baby, a boy, in February 2027. I’m still deciding between a hospital birth and a home birth with the option of laboring in water. Since this is my first baby, I’m looking for someone who is patient, supportive, and willing to take the time to educate me and answer my questions without making me feel overwhelmed. I’d love someone who can support both me and my partner throughout the process. I’m also interested in postpartum support and would like to learn more about your services, availability, and whether you accept insurance.

My partner and i have 0 experience with this. We are having our first baby, and would like to be more confident and educated during this process.
