Hello! I’m Naoko. I am a Japanese-trained midwife, birth and postpartum doula, lactation counselor, childbirth educator, and mother of four. Before moving to the United States, I worked as a midwife in Japan, supporting families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Since moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, I have continued supporting families as a doula with compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized care. My approach is centered on the person giving birth. I believe every birthing person deserves to feel heard, respected, informed, and supported in making decisions that are right for them and their family. I draw on both my medical knowledge and my personal experience raising four children to provide practical, compassionate, and individualized support. I welcome families of all backgrounds, races, cultures, gender identities, and sexual orientations, including LGBTQ+ families. I support a wide range of birth preferences and experiences, including unmedicated birth, epidural birth, induction, VBAC, and cesarean birth. I also offer childbirth education, breastfeeding and lactation guidance, prenatal yoga, and bilingual support in English and Japanese. My goal is to help each family feel confident, supported, and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey.

I reached out for support because I was feeling really anxious about attempting a TOLAC. I wasn’t sure if I should go for it, but after having many honest conversations, I felt completely heard and supported. That helped me make a decision I truly felt good about. On the day of my delivery, she came right away. Her bright encouragement and Naoko’s calming presence helped me shift from fear to confidence. In the end, I had a successful VBAC, and it turned into the best birth experience I could have hoped for. I’m so grateful I chose Naoko’s support and would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering a TOLAC or VBAC.

Hi! I’m Tunisha (Nisha), a passionate certified birth/postpartum doula, mother of three amazing kids. My own experiences with pregnancy and birth taught me just how transformative this time is, and my philosophy is simple: every parent deserves to feel empowered, respected, and safe, no matter how their birth unfolds. Before becoming a professional doula, I was the go-to person for my friends and family, providing hands-on support, encouragement, and care during their pregnancies and early postpartum days. I believe in 'mothering the mother'—offering calm, non-judgmental, and practical support to help you navigate this incredible journey. I would be honored to hold space for you and help you welcome your baby with confidence.

Tunisha became my doula when I was 7 months pregnant. Throughout my journey, we had zoom meetings and communicated daily. Tunisha always checked in on me and shared informative resources for my pregnancy. Fast forward to the actual day of giving birth. Tunisha came to the hospital with such positive energy and calmness. She guided me through every contraction by reminding me to focus on my breathing and by pressing on my hips and back (this got me through the pain). During the time of pushing, she spoke out with encouragement and I held on to her voice. She made me believe in my body and what my body was capable of doing. She was my advocate and my rock. Tunisha asked me if I wanted to labor and push in all the different types of positions; I did and I finally found a comfortable position. I gave birth unmedicated and this was an amazing experience. I always felt safe and secure with Tunisha by my side. I am forever grateful for the support of Tunisha.

My name is Amber Bardini, and I am the proud owner of Blooming Families Doula Services, LLC - a full spectrum doula agency, serving our wonderful clients throughout the greater Sacramento area and beyond. As a wife, mom of three, and certified full spectrum doula, my mission is to ensure that every parent and parent-to-be feels empowered, nurtured, and fully supported as they navigate this beautiful transition. My journey into the world of doula work began with a passion to make a positive impact on the birth and postpartum experiences of new families. Becoming a parent was one of the most challenging transitions of my life, and I remember how lost and alone I often felt as a new mom. I knew there needed to be a profound change in how we treat new parents and parents-to-be. I am truly dedicated to supporting new families—so they never have to feel the way I did. I founded Blooming Families Doula Services to extend compassionate, professional support to families in every stage of their journey. My goal is to ensure that every family receives the dedicated care they need to thrive and to help them build a strong, supportive village around them. I believe that every birth and every journey is unique, and every person and new parent is different. What works for one person, may not work for another. We are here to support you according to your specific needs. I am committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive space for everyone, especially within the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. Everyone is valued, respected, and embraced for who they are. Thank you for considering having us as part of your journey. Bailey was my doula through Blooming Families! She was wonderful throughout my pregnancy and birth. I was happily surprised that her services were covered by my insurance. Bailey helped me know what to expect for birth and helped me made educated decisions in regard to my birth plan. She attended my birth (despite it begins 3.5 weeks early). Throughout my birth she helped advocate for my wishes and encouraged my husband in ways he could best support me! She also checked in with me postpartum. I am so grateful for her support and recommend her services, especially for first time moms!

I’m Jaqueline, Full Spectrum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist and Sleep Consultant in the East Bay Area! I’m passionate about every parent receiving the support that they need. I believe that all parts of your journey matter equally, and that’s why I’m so excited to offer birth, postpartum, newborn care and sleep consulting! My journey began with a move from Brazil to the US, where I initially served families as a nanny. Feeling called to provide deeper support, I became a newborn care specialist and dual-certified sleep consultant. After having my own babies, my passion for holistic care grew, and I was inspired to get my birth and postpartum doula certifications. Now, I'm excited to combine my passion and years of expertise to serve families like yours holistically throughout the East Bay Area and San Francisco, guiding you from pregnancy through your child's early years.

I am so grateful for my Newborn Care Specialist Jacqueline and the exceptional support she provided when my daughter was born. Her vast knowledge of newborn care is truly impressive, and her advice was invaluable. She is also an incredible communicator, always keeping me informed and reassured. Her attention to detail and genuine compassion were gamechangers and I felt incredibly supported every step of the way. She went above and beyond to ensure my daughter had everything she needed to thrive and that I had everything I needed to care for her. Jacqueline made this special time even more special for my family. I cannot recommend Jacqueline enough to any new parent(s) looking for outstanding care and support.

As a full spectrum birth-keeper, sexual/reproductive & lactation educator, and womb-space ceremonialist, I hold space for you to have continuous, high quality support that is infused with culturally responsive care, and embedded within a framework of advocacy. As such, I provide physical, emotional, and educational support and guidance to all birthing people, their partners, their families, and communities across the lifespan, reproductive landscape, and for all reproductive circumstances and outcomes. Earthseed Birthwork praxis is steeped in the belief that within the hallowed grounds of your wholeness – your lived experiences and unique socio-cultural contexts, your dreams, and your life journey, there is an opportunity for YOUR divinely aligned birth journey to come forth. I specialize in serving as guide, helping you investigate and get curious about, cultivate, and then traverse your own birth ceremony, the complex and oftentimes daunting medical system's model of care, and matrescence – the wholeness (physically, psychologically, and socially) of becoming a mother/parent…all while centering the sacred and traditional practices that have safely held birthing people for time immemorial. Bearing witness to, being deeply present for, and reflecting your own innate power to call forth and touch into the dance of your intuition, are my gifts. Working with me is intended to be more than a mere hand-holding, it is meant to be a full person witnessing, and the sanctuary of safe space to support the expansion of your capacity to be present with all that arises on your journey. I believe all births are immeasurably transformative...birth shape- shifts us into whatever next iteration this life is calling forth for us. When allowed, birth may expose you to rapturous wonder, deep discomfort, indescribable joy, and the instinctive knowing that you will forever physically, emotionally, and spiritually be changed. Care Setting I meet people where they are, and not where I may perceive they ‘should’ be…literally and figuratively. I hold and offer care within in-person spaces, homes, virtually, office, and outside underneath the sky’s blanket.

We give Shelby the highest recommendation. She supported our birth journey in so many critical ways, through her presence, knowledge and constant encouragement. She is very personable and answered all of our questions. We especially appreciated the way she could explain why the clinical setting would prefer or encourage particular interventions, while also letting us know about all of the options available and helping us to make informed decisions along the way. She empowered us. When it mattered most, during labor and delivery, Shelby was there, with the right presence, words and encouragement. She helped our baby come into the world. We hope other parents have this positive experience of a doula, like Shelby gave us.
