Hi! I'm Tamiko. I'm the Advanced Newborn Care Specialist, Certified Postpartum Doula, and Sleep Expert for exhausted parents who want their babies to sleep all night so they can feel like themselves again. I help moms enjoy motherhood and have time for themselves once the baby is down for the night. Dads have reported waking energized with a new pep in their step after implementing my strategies. Since 2008, I've worked 24/7, rotational shifts for families who value privacy and discretion. I understand the unique needs of these families and the great finesse required to succeed in these positions. I enjoy working with families from all backgrounds and providing them with both daytime and overnight support as they transition into parenthood. I've helped over 1000 families (both online and in-person) gently teach their little ones to sleep. I also have lots of experience working with medically fragile babies (i.e. N/GJ/J tubes, sleep apnea, GERD, SGA, cardiac issues, etc.). In my free time, I enjoy baking delicious gluten-free desserts and hanging out with my sweet nephews. If you're looking for an experienced Doula or Newborn Care Specialist who's calm, a joy to be around, and goes with the flow, let's connect. I'm so excited to meet you and learn more about your family.

We hired Tamiko so she could support us right when we got home. It was really in the beginning more about me getting sleep because I was recovering from a C-section and just really needed to rest and recover. And it was really, really crucial having Tamiko there in those early days right after we got back from the hospital to get the most sleep. With Tamiko's help, our daughter started at about six weeks just skipping, her two 3:00 AM feeding and she sleeps between 10 and 12 hours in a stretch every night now, so at two months. She helped create a plan so I can breastfeed and still get rest at night. Tamiko is easygoing and easy to get along with and it's nice having her around.

I would love to connect with you all! North Houston local …. Spring, Porter, Conroe, Woodlands TX

Zaira was such a blessing to our family. My husband and I tell everyone she was worth every penny and more. She gave us so much confidence going into the delivery of our son and we never felt alone. She went above and beyond during the entire team process and even still checks in on our son. The first time we met Zaira she drove all the way to our house (a long drive for her) and before she did anything else she prayed with us in our living room. We knew from that point on she was who we would choose as our doula. She was not only there for me and my questions, she gave assurance to my husband as well and equipped him to be the best partner throughout our delivery. From prenatal visits, to random texts, delivery, and even postpartum Zaira looked after our every need. I highly recommend her to anyone looking.

LaVerne Reid

LaVerne Reid

9 years of experience

Hi, I'm LaVerne, also known as the Baby Whisperer and I've been a doula for almost ten years. My work centers on creating a calm, nurturing environment where families can truly thrive during pregnancy, birth, and those busy early weeks. I support mothers through the full spectrum of their journey, from birth preparation and labor support to postpartum recovery, both mentally, emotionally, and physically. During birth, I serve as a steady presence, offering comfort measures, encouragement, and advocacy so you can have the empowering experience you envision. In the postpartum period, I'm deeply attuned to babies' cues, cries, and signals, and I provide hands-on care including household tasks, feeding, diapering, bathing, sleep coaching, & meal prep for mom. I also manage The Retreat at MILK Maternity in The Woodlands.

LaVerne is a treasure! I call her the baby whisperer because she is so attuned to babies and good at meeting their needs. I half joke (and am half serious) that families should fight over the chance to work with her. We only worked with her for two weeks, a short amount of time, but in that period she was able to transform our baby’s quality of life - she flagged that he most likely had a dietary intolerance and that he seemed to be in pain while lying flat. I spoke to his doctor and after I cut dairy and soy from my diet and we started him on reflux medication, it was like having a whole different baby - he was so much happier and more comfortable. She was extremely attuned to him and his needs and very gentle with soothing. She was proactive and fit into our household routine, for example she would refill my water or organize the baby clothes without being asked. She went above and beyond in caring for our baby and helped to resolve a diaper rash that had been ongoing for weeks. She was very professional, prompt, supportive, and cared for my baby as if he were her own. I will forever be grateful for her attention to our baby’s needs and advocacy on his behalf that helped us make changes so he wouldn’t have to be constantly uncomfortable and in pain. Our entire extended family of parents and grandparents noticed how gifted LaVerne is with babies and how well my son did under her care. She has my highest recommendation without reservations for other families.

Jaelyn is an angel straight from heaven. I live across the country from my family, and she showed up as my best friend and my family during my delivery and postpartum. She was a tremendous advocate for me during my birth. I was committed to having a natural birth at a birth center, but after 18 hours of labor we had to take it to the hospital because of unavoidable complications. She did absolutely everything to protect and support me at the hospital, while I was pretty much delirious and struggling to make decisions, she was bold and brave standing up from my rights and needs the whole time. For example, the doctors wanted me to go straight to Pitocin to strengthen my ability to push, but Jaelyn knew I wanted to avoid medical interventions, so like a genius she instructed the doctors to give me a breast pump instead because pumping can have the same strengthening effect in an all-natural way. I didn’t even know that, but she did. All through the day and night at the birth center she kept me fed and hydrated, tirelessly held the detachable shower head for me for literally 3 hours straight as I was attempting a water birth, and gave me massages and helped me through all kinds of creative birthing positions. During my extremely challenging birth experience, feeling her hand holding mine was the most comforting and reassuring thing. Her energy was calm always. And then, low and behold postpartum at the hospital, she was my first visitor bringing me a gift bag full of beautiful high quality baby items, a huge bouquet of flowers, and a deluxe fruit tray which I devoured. She’s one of those friends who knows what you need without you having to say anything. She was born to be a doula, and she even remembered my dog’s name and asked about her which cheered me up so much! Plus, with my pregnancy Medicaid all of her services were free! She has a great sense of humor and made me laugh so hard during her hospital visits that they could definitely hear us in the next room! Anyway, God bless you Jaelyn and thank you for treating me with such kindness, love, and respect. And any of you looking for the best doula ever who will seriously have your back, Jaelyn is your girl.

Hello! So great to meet you, I'm Max! I am a LGBT/ Queer affirming birth doula who brings a unique perspective to the pregnancy and laboring experience. My background in body work and physical therapy gives me a distinctive understanding of how to apply my skills as a doula to physiological birth. My calming presence is reassuring to those I'm supporting, and their families. I am passionate about empowering all pregnant and birthing people. My strength is my adaptability; which allows me to support families in their choices. I am a parent to my 13year old clone, who I birthed at home. I run a suburban goat farm and have two giant fur babies that try to steal my bed. (Great Danes named Freyja and Kuma). I enjoy dad jokes, puns, and free books. I identify as a transmasc, nonbinary human. I use they/he pronouns.

Max is the best. I have very complicated pregnancies and work in ob so max understands my stress levels and always put me at ease through out. Our family worked with max during my second pregnancy which was debatably the worst, and my third. Max always had a plan for our sessions and understood how crappy things were for a mom with hg. When it came to my labor all the prep work I did with him absolutely paid off. During these pregnancies I felt more skilled because max. He helped me remain present, create realistic goals, and take care of myself which can be so difficult. I truely trust the work he does and feel that he is such a valuable member of my birth team. Doulas are a blessing.
