I am Rafaela, a Certified Postpartum Doula through NAPS and a graduate of DONA International–approved Postpartum Doula training. I am also a Birth Doula trained through the Becoming a Birth Doula program with Carrie Kenner and a Newborn Care Provider. I am based in Kirkland, Washington, and provide compassionate, respectful, and hands-on support to families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, helping parents feel confident and supported during one of the most meaningful transitions in their lives. I hold a Technical Degree in Nursing from Brazil, earned in 2010, with more than 2,090 hours of combined theoretical and clinical training. While this is not a U.S. nursing license, it provides a strong clinical foundation for the care and support I offer families. Throughout my professional career, I have gained extensive experience in maternal and newborn care, including supporting pregnant women, newborns, premature infants, and babies requiring specialized care. I bring seven years of hands-on experience working in a maternity hospital in Brazil, where I supported mothers during labor and provided direct care for newborns, including premature infants and babies in the NICU. This experience has given me extensive knowledge in supporting families with newborns who require specialized care. I offer both daytime and overnight support for newborns, premature infants, and their families during the postpartum period. My services include evidence-based newborn care, emotional support for parents, infant feeding guidance, healthy sleep foundations, and practical assistance to help families feel confident and well supported as they adjust to life with a new baby. Families often describe me as reliable, calm, and attentive. I strive to create a warm, organized, and judgment-free environment where families feel supported and confident in their routines while following current American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommendations for safe sleep and newborn care. I am fully vaccinated, have excellent references, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation. When I first became a mom, I never thought I would feel comfortable leaving my baby with someone else, especially during the newborn stage. I was very anxious and had a lot of insecurities. Anna helped me feel calm and confident from the beginning. She was gentle with my baby, always patient, and took the time to explain things when I had questions. Knowing she was there allowed me to get some rest and take care of myself without constantly worrying. Anna helped with overnight newborn care, feedings, diaper changes, soothing, and sleep support. She treated my baby with so much love and care, and I always felt that my baby was safe with her. I am very grateful for the support Anna gave our family and would happily recommend her to any family looking for newborn care or postpartum support.

Luciana was an exceptional night doula/newborn care specialist and support for us and our son. She has such a warmth about her and a love for what she does, and she is so knowledgeable; she put our new parent minds at ease, and we learned so much from her. She helped us transition home from a prolonged hospital stay, and she went above and beyond, checking in with us during the day as well to help with feeding and sleep suggestions. Would highly highly recommend her, she is the best!

As soon as you meet Carla it will be incredibly obvious why you will only want her to be the one taking care of your newborn child. It is evident that her natural instincts and overall persona is exactly what every mom wishes for when they are going to select someone to help them with their newborn baby. Not only is Carla warm and patient, but she is knowledgeable and experienced, without being bossy. She almost floats around your home and brings you into a bubble of peace from the second she walks in. I have never had such peace of mind as when Carla helped us. Because of this I have referred Carla to every single friend when they share they are pregnant. Only a lucky few have reached out early enough to secure her. She is exceptional. If I could have nobody else help with my family ever it would be her. You will see when you meet her. Her passion is babies. She will know exactly what you and your family need from her and she senses it. Her talents are unmatched. She is truly exceptional. I would only have another baby if I could have Carla. I could never settle for anyone else. From the second she walks in the door Carla is somehow equally caring and professional and does not miss a beat.

I found Camila through Carrot’s recommended list of postpartum doulas, and as a first-time mom, I’ll admit I was nervous about having someone else care for my daughter. After our consultation, I had such a good feeling about Camila, and that’s where it all began. We had Camila with us for six weeks, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better postpartum doula. Her experience with babies is evident in everything she does. She cared for my daughter as if she were her own—with so much patience, love, and understanding, even through the most restless nights. Beyond caring for my daughter, Camila was also an incredible source of support for me. She gave me so many helpful tips and advice as a new mom, and I’m incredibly grateful for the confidence she helped give me during those early weeks. She was not only our doula but also became a friend who was there to help me navigate the ups and downs of new motherhood. Knowing my daughter was in such capable and loving hands allowed me to truly rest at night, which was invaluable during those first six weeks. I’m so grateful we found Camila and would highly recommend her to any new mom looking for compassionate, experienced, and trustworthy postpartum support. She was such an important part of our transition into parenthood, and we’ll always appreciate everything she did for our family.

Hi, I’m Mirella, a postpartum doula based in the Bay Area. I specialize in overnight newborn care, supporting families through the early weeks with their baby for the past 4 years. I help parents feel more rested, confident, and at ease while caring for their newborn, assisting with feeding, soothing, and establishing gentle routines that work for the whole family. My approach is calm, attentive, and tailored to each family. I focus not only on caring for your baby, but also on supporting you; whether that’s helping you get the rest you need, answering questions, or simply offering reassurance during this new chapter. Before your baby arrives, I also offer a complimentary in home visit so we can get to know each other, go over your setup, and make sure you feel fully prepared. My goal is for you to feel confident, supported, and at ease in your early days as a family 🤍

I cannot recommend Mirella highly enough. She was our night doula for the first six weeks after our son was born, and hiring her was truly one of the best decisions we made for our baby and ourselves. Those first weeks are such a delicate and vulnerable time for a family, especially for a new mom and baby, and Mirella brought exactly the presence we needed into our home. She is incredibly kind, gentle, calm, and nurturing, while also being knowledgeable, reliable, timely, and precise in everything she does. We started calling her “the baby whisperer” because she always seemed to know exactly what our son needed. If he was unsettled, she knew how to soothe him, and whenever we asked for advice, she had thoughtful suggestions that worked. She didn’t just care for our son: she taught us so much and helped us become more confident parents. She was especially incredible in helping us establish healthy sleep habits from the beginning. She showed us how to gently teach our son to sleep and worked consistently with him night after night. By six weeks, he was sleeping stretches of around six hours, which I credit in large part to Mirella and the foundation she helped us create. She also helped with household chores, which was enormously helpful during those exhausting early weeks. Initially, I was hesitant to hire a night doula because both my husband and I were off work and I wondered if we really needed the help. Looking back, it was one of the best choices we could have made. Mirella helped us immensely and made those first weeks so much more manageable and special. We feel incredibly lucky that she was part of our son’s first weeks of life. I would recommend Mirella without hesitation and would be more than happy to speak with any family considering working with her. She is truly wonderful.
