After feeling dismissed and intimidated into making decisions against my better judgment during my first birth, I knew I wanted a different experience the second time and specifically sought out advocacy--hiring Britt as my doula was one of the best decisions I made. From the beginning, she was incredibly relatable and easy to talk to, taking the time to truly understand my preferences, concerns, and goals. Her background as a former high-risk RN, combined with her doula training, gave me so much confidence. She explained things clearly, helped me make informed decisions, and always made sure I felt heard and respected. No matter what questions or worries I had, she met them with patience and reassurance. Even though my birth didn't go as planned and ended in an unplanned C-section, Britt's support never wavered. She was a steady, calming presence throughout and helped me feel empowered and cared for every step of the way. I'm so grateful for her support and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly supportive doula. During such a vulnerable time where appointments can feel impersonal and too "routine", it was such a blessing to feel/know that someone really genuinely cared about me, my pregnancy and by baby!

Our experience with Melanie was nothing short of exceptional. Melanie was our NCS from the day our son was born until 6 months of age. She truly operated as the Lead NCS for our household, setting the standard for everyone else and ensuring that everything ran seamlessly. Her level of organization was outstanding. Melanie was always proactive about keeping me informed on anything that needed restocking and made sure our home was consistently well prepared and fully supplied. Melanie’s commitment to hygiene and safety was a huge stand out for us. She maintained the highest standards of cleanliness in caring for our newborn and was incredibly diligent about safe sleep practices at all times, which gave us real peace of mind. Every night, she provided thoughtful, consistent updates so we always knew exactly how our son was doing. Melanie also took the initiative to organize and coordinate the nightly schedule between myself and the other staff, ensuring everyone was aligned and that care was consistent. All of our son’s feeding, sleeping, and changing items were always perfectly organized and ready, making everything feel effortless. Beyond technical skills, Melanie brought a level of professionalism and leadership that elevated our entire household. She truly ran a well-managed, attentive, and calm environment for our son, and we are incredibly grateful for the care and structure she provided during such an important time. We hope to have her back for baby #2!

I am a postpartum doula dedicated to supporting families as they welcome their newest little one. My passion for this work grew from a deep belief that parents deserve just as much care and nurturing as their babies. Whether you’re recovering from birth, navigating the early days of parenthood, or adjusting to life with a newly adopted baby, my goal is to create a calm, supportive environment where you feel rested, confident, and cared for. I offer a blend of emotional support, practical guidance, and hands-on help tailored to your family’s unique needs. As a mom of two young boys, I understand firsthand the joys and challenges that come with welcoming a baby. Those early days can be beautiful, exhausting, and everything in between — and it’s what inspired me to walk alongside other families during this precious season. It’s an honor to support parents as they grow their families, and I’d be honored to support yours.

I wasn’t sure what the balance of welcoming our second child would bring but I’m glad Kim was able to offer support through the adjustment. Kim provided much needed hands on help during the newborn phase and early postpartum period which helped me feel confident and better adjusted early on. She has a gentle and calm approach to supporting both mom and baby. I also appreciated her guidance and knowledge in navigating breastfeeding. I am grateful to Kim for her patience, support, and presence during this important transition for myself and my family.

My experience with Zah was expansive and grounding. During our zoom gatherings I learned to hold space for myself, to share deeply, to allow myself to be seen in my authentic expression, and to show up with whatever elements are currently moving through my ecosystem. I cherish these lessons and carry them within my heart. Thank you, Zah.

Within the unique needs of each family, I aim to establish an environment that promotes bonding, healing, and rest, while also educating on infant feeding, newborn care, family integration, baby milestones, and sleep. I also assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation. I have completed the following DONA International-approved training: Bini Birth DONA Approved Birth Doula Training (I'm now working solely as a postpartum doula), Sierra Childbirth Institute’s DONA International Postpartum Doula Training, Breastfeeding Basics for Doulas through Bini Birth, and Bini Birth's Childbirth Education Class. I am also excited about my journey towards becoming an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) and have completed both the LES (Lactation Education Specialist) course, and Lactation Consultant Education course, through Breastfeed LA. I am excited to use the knowledge I gained to provide extra support for the breast/chestfeeding relationships of new families. As a mother of two, this work is deeply important to me. Hello, I’m Kathy, and I’m honored to walk alongside families as they journey into parenthood. Becoming a mother is one of the most beautiful and life-changing experiences a woman can go through. It can also be overwhelming, emotional, and filled with uncertainty. I believe no mother should have to navigate that journey feeling alone. As a Birth and Postpartum Doula, my heart is in supporting mothers and families through the many transitions that come with pregnancy, birth, and bringing a new baby home. I am here to listen, encourage, reassure, and provide a calm and caring presence when you need it most. My educational background in Psychology, with an emphasis in Family and Marriage Therapy, has deepened my understanding of the emotional and relational changes that can occur during this important season of life. The arrival of a baby changes more than a family’s daily routine—it can change how we see ourselves, how we connect with our partners, and how we navigate our new roles as parents. I bring this understanding into my doula work by creating a safe, compassionate space where mothers and families can feel heard, supported, and understood. During pregnancy and birth, I support you in preparing for the experience you envision while respecting that birth can sometimes take an unexpected path. Whether your birth plan changes or unfolds exactly as you hoped, you deserve to feel informed, respected, and supported. After your baby arrives, my role is to help you find your rhythm as a new family. I provide practical and emotional support as you recover, learn your baby, navigate feeding and newborn care, adjust to new routines, and experience the many emotions that come with motherhood. I believe that caring for the mother is an essential part of caring for the family. My philosophy is simple: I don't believe in telling you how to be a mother. I believe in meeting you where you are, listening to what you need, and walking beside you as you discover your own way. There is no perfect birth, no perfect mother, and no single path into parenthood. There is only "your" journey—and I would be honored to be part of it. My goal is to help you feel seen, heard, supported, and confident as you move from pregnancy to birth and into the beautiful, sometimes messy, and deeply transformative journey of motherhood. You care for so many already. Let me help care for you.l.

I have always been fascinated and humbled by the birthing process since working at a Maternity Hospital in Nepal many years ago, when I was a medical student in the UK. It revealed to me how essential compassionate support is during this rite of passage. My passion for women's health and childbirth has never waned, and I come with a deep knowledge of the process from working as a family doctor in the UK, then birthing and bringing up my own three children here in the US. I am privileged to work as a birth doula, an advocate in this space, supporting with empathy and calm, helping women to trust their bodies and to achieve a positive birth experience. I help women to know their own body and its amazing capabilities, to trust it, and, in doing so, to own their birth.

Harriet is a wonderful doula and an amazing person. She saved me in so many ways and gave me the exact birth plan I imagined. I only found her a month before my due date and she was able to step in and give me proper guidance. She talked me through all the options on the birth plan. She sent me materials and ideas to deal with pain and anxiety. She has a medical background as well as extensive experience In the field and is constantly keeping up with new technologies. My support person was out of town when I went into labor and Harriet was with me the whole time. She asked questions of the doctors and made sure I got the best care. She voiced my concerns when I couldn't. During active labor she was so soothing and knew tricks to ease the pain - thanks to her I gave birth without an epidural. She followed up with me after and baked delicious cookies! I honestly can't thank her enough. She is a pillar of strength and knowledge and source of calm in the storm.

I have had the pleasure of working with Javanne twice. She is very hands-on and is extremely knowledgeable. My first experience with Javanne was in 2022 when I had my first child. As a first-time mother, I had so many questions as I was 41 weeks pregnant and felt pressured by my doctor to induce labor. I desired to have a natural birth but was fearful after talking with my OBGYN. I was scared and felt uneducated about the process. Javanne educated me on specific questions to ask, what to expect during my upcoming appointments as well as the risks. She helped me feel at ease while teaching me to advocate for myself. I chose not to be induced and had a fairly easy natural delivery. My second time working with Javanne was in 2024. I had another vaginal birth without an epidural. Everything seemed to have gone well. Two weeks later, I noticed I was having a difficult time breathing, and I could only sleep sitting up. Additionally, I was experiencing headaches and gaining weight. I messaged Javanne, and she explained that this was not normal and urged me to go to the ER. Thank God I did! I was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia and cardiomyopathy. Javanne was readily available for all my questions and educated me on the best possible treatments and what to ask my doctors and cardiologists. She also explained how postpartum preeclampsia can bring on cardiomyopathy. Javanne is attentive and wholeheartedly desires labor and delivery to be an enjoyable experience. I’m forever grateful for Javanne.

We had such a great experience working with Maria. My baby started going through the 4-month sleep regression early, and by the time he was only 3.5 months old, his sleep was completely disrupted (awake every hour or so). I also have a toddler at home, so the disrupted nights were becoming really hard to manage and I knew I needed help. What I loved about working with Maria was that she didn’t just give me a sleep plan and send me off to implement it while already exhausted. She came to our home overnight and actually did the work with my baby while I slept. She learned his patterns, figured out what worked for him, and handled his wake-ups, while also teaching me exactly what she was doing and why so that I could confidently take over afterward. Her approach felt very personalized to my baby and our family rather than a generic sleep-training program. The results were incredible. After just two nights, my baby was sleeping through the night. It is now several weeks later, and he still consistently sleeps from bedtime until morning and, if he does briefly wake, he is able to settle himself back to sleep. Having Maria physically there doing the difficult part while I was able to get some much-needed sleep was invaluable. If you are exhausted and struggling with your baby’s sleep, you really do not have to figure it all out by yourself. Maria took an enormous weight off my shoulders, and I would absolutely recommend her.
