With over twenty five years' experience as an NCS(newborn care specialist), CPPD(certified postpartum doula), & Certified Lactation Educator Counselor, I aspire to be a calming, nonjudgmental  and supportive presence for parents during the first few weeks/months with their newborn(s). I am a wife (I have been with my husband almost 30 years!) and a mother to 5 beautiful children, including my youngest, who is three years old. Before becoming a doula, I worked as a graphic designer, elder care provider, and nanny. Some years back I decided to become a postpartum doula. I have always been fascinated and humbled by the birthing process since working at a Maternity Hospital in Nepal many years ago, when I was a medical student in the UK. It revealed to me how essential compassionate support is during this rite of passage.
