Neha Chinchanikar

Sammamish, Washington

Neha Chinchanikar

Hi there! I am Neha, a birth and postpartum doula based in Sammamish, WA. My path to becoming a doula was shaped by my own births and medical experiences at Northwest Hospital, Swedish Issaquah, and Virginia Mason. I know the power of a doula because I lived it twice, whose presence completely transformed my experience. She was the anchor that kept me grounded, providing the safety I needed to trust my body. I know that even the most empowered birth can be followed by a challenging recovery. My own postpartum transitions were marked by the reality of Postpartum Anxiety (PPA), a difficult breastfeeding journey, and a 5 finger diastasis recti that required patience and dedicated healing. These challenges were humbling, but they were also my greatest teachers. My Commitment to You: Full-Circle Care: Dedicated support throughout your pregnancy, labor and postpartum check-ins as you settle into your new life at home. Cultural Heart: A deep respect for your family's traditions and a commitment to honoring them from pregnancy through postpartum. Advocate and Empower: Empower you with resources and advocate for your choices in the birthing room.

Neha was a great birth doula. I wouldn't have been able to labor at home without her. She used many methods to help me cope with my pain. She was there from when I just had some cramps. When I texted her my symptoms, she quickly arrived at our home, helped time the contractions, poured ice over my body to distract me from the pain, used essential oils, and help me use the TENS machine. She helped my partner support me by suggesting position changes, feeding, and watering me. She gave me a list of aftercare items that have been very important for my recovery. All I desired for my birth was a quick labor and vaginal delivery, and Neha was essential in making that possible. I am very thankful to her, I wish everyone had someone like Neha to support them during their births.

I believe birth is not just a medical event — it’s a deeply personal, transformative experience, and the way you are supported matters. As a birth doula, my role is to provide steady, evidence-based support while centering you: your preferences, your intuition, and your sense of safety. I support families through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum period with calm presence, clear information, and compassionate advocacy. Whether your birth unfolds exactly as planned or takes unexpected turns, you deserve to feel informed, respected, and supported every step of the way. I work with all birth settings and outcomes — hospital births, unmedicated or medicated labors, planned or unplanned cesareans — and I meet each family where they are, without judgment. My approach is grounded in current evidence, emotional attunement, and the understanding that there is no “right” way to give birth — only what is right for you. Clients often tell me they feel more confident, less overwhelmed, and better prepared after working together. I aim to be a steady presence you can lean on — someone who helps you understand your options, supports your partner, and creates space for you to stay connected to your body and your baby. If you’re looking for a doula who is calm, knowledgeable, and deeply invested in your experience — I would be honored to support you.

From the moment I decided to choose Olena, I have never regretted it. From the very beginning, Olena was incredibly attentive and supportive. Her two prenatal visits were incredibly helpful. She clearly explained what to expect during labor and helped me prepare for the upcoming challenges both mentally and physically. She demonstrated valuable pelvic floor exercises that gave me confidence and preparedness for my future labor. Throughout my entire labor, she was very responsive to my needs and ensured that my wishes and comfort were a priority. She worked closely and communicated effectively with the nurses and midwife, and her support was especially crucial when the question of a C-section arose. She confidently advocated for my preferences and helped my voice be heard. When the decision was finally made for a C-section, her support never wavered. Both my husband and I felt reassured by her steady presence in the operating room. One of the most meaningful moments for me came right after the birth of my son, when my husband needed to be with him and all the doctors were busy. I cannot forget the comfort of her hands on my face while I was getting stitches. It was exactly what I needed to feel safe and cared for. After the labor, she continued to provide me with comprehensive support. She taught me how to sit and breastfeed correctly, guided me through every step, and frequently checked in to make sure I was doing well. I truly valued her knowledge and genuine care, and she went above and beyond, sharing an incredibly helpful list of tips for newborn care, postpartum recovery, and breastfeeding. Having Olena as our doula has been incredibly beneficial for both me and my husband. Her experience and unwavering support truly helped us through every step of this life-changing moment, and if my husband and I decide to have a second child, I know who I will choose as my doula.

My experience with Bridgette was fantastic. My main reason for using a doula was I wanted someone in the birth room to be a fierce advocate while I was medicated and in pain and unable to advocate for myself. She was that and so much more. I had to push for 4 hours to get my little one out after already being in labor for 18 hours. The doctor said I was close to needing the vacuum to get her out and I credit Bridgette's knowledge, encouragement of frequent position changes while pushing and encouragement to keep hydrated and nourished with clear liquids to why I was able to get my little one out without the vacuum. Another thing that was a great help was giving my overwhelmed partner guidance on the best ways of helping me and keeping him calm and involved in a stressful situation. In addition to that she got the BEST pictures of the delivery while respecting the fact I didn't want any from the angle you could see my more intimate areas. I'll cherish those pictures forever. My birth was a beautiful wonderful experience. I have to credit part of it to luck but the majority of it to Bridgette.

Hi! I’m a birth doula, childbirth educator, and lactation counselor with a background in osteopathic medicine and a deep passion for perinatal support. During medical school, I saw how the way we approach and nurture pregnancy and birth can shape early family experience, creating lasting ripple effects. In addition to birth work, I lead parent support groups through PEPS and am a mom of two teens. I understand how unpredictable and transformative the journey into parenthood can be, and my role is to help you feel grounded in the moment and ready for what comes next. Every parent brings their own values and lived experiences—sometimes joyful, always complex—and I offer steady support and advocacy tailored to your unique path.

Working with Jen was one of the best decisions I made for my birth. From the start, she brought a calm, confident, and grounding presence that felt so reassuring. She took the time to understand not just what my birth plan was, but why it mattered to me (which I think made all the difference when things didn’t go exactly as I originally hoped). Throughout pregnancy, she stayed in close contact and was always available when I felt worried or confused. Her guidance through the confusing days of pre/early labor and her arrival as soon as we needed more support made me feel really cared for. During labor, Jen really helped me cope with contractions and stay calm in between. She helped me get into a good flow and pulled many helpful things out of her toolbox (both metaphorically and literally) without disrupting my rhythm. Hospitals make me uneasy, but she helped me stay focused no matter what was going on around me. She kept me grounded when things got intense and I doubted myself. Jen interacted effortlessly with the medical team and brought up helpful questions I wouldn’t have known to ask (monitoring, IV placement, positioning especially during pushing). Between preparation during prenatal meetings and Jen’s encouragement and advocacy during my birth, I was able to stay confident and really be in the moment when my baby arrived. I can’t imagine going through pregnancy and birth without her.

More recently, Rafaela reached out to let us know she became a doula and asked if we would feel ok sharing our experience. I didn’t even think twice. About five years ago when our son was born, we went through a really hard time as a family. My wife had postpartum depression and I was honestly very scared I wouldn’t be able to handle everything on my own. About a week after the baby was born, we realized we needed help, and that’s when we met Rafaela. At that time, she was already helping families with newborn care because of her nursing background, so she had a lot of experience even before becoming a doula. She helped us during the day and also overnight, and gave support to my wife during a very sensitive time. What really stands out is how genuine she is. She cared for our baby with so much love and patience, you could really feel it. Because of my wife’s situation, we used formula, and Rafaela helped us with that with no judgment, just support. She really became part of our family. She was there through everything, even came to our son’s first birthday. Even now, we still keep in touch and always recommend her to friends and families in our Bellevue community. We are very thankful for everything she did for us.

Christina was our postpartum doula for several months and I highly recommend her. She made sure we slept and had moments of relaxation during our steep learning curve as new parents, ensured our son was well taken care of, and taught us so much about caring for a newborn. Christina was calm and supportive. She answered and anticipated so many of our questions with such a depth of knowledge and experience that we were able to skip many of the uncertainties and anxieties we were anticipating as first time parents. Christina is communicative, reliable, helpful, supportive, caring, and trustworthy, we’re so thankful for all she did for us!
