Hello my name is Emma Maxey and I have been a certified birth doula for about two years. I am located in the Plainfield, IN area and eager to support expecting parents! I have great experience with pregnancy, with myself having naturally birthed my first three children (two of which are twins) and my last baby which I birthed prematurely via c-section. I have also helped clients achieve their desired birth outcome. My personal focus is on the importance of providing clients with informed consent so that we can achieve their perfect birth experience. It is also important to me to provide support to those that are experiencing pregnancy complications, as this group of people need extensive support where they may not be getting it. I did a home birth myself, with a doula and a midwife, when I gave birth to my first and only child. The experience was life changing and very exciting. I stand by unmedicated child births, I do believe that is best for mom and baby during the childbirth experience. I am looking to be your support person and advocate during your chosen time of need. Birthing can be scary, but it is also beautiful. My past work history is over 10 years with the State of Illinois, I am currently working for full time as a social worker.
