I have always been fascinated and humbled by the birthing process since working at a Maternity Hospital in Nepal many years ago, when I was a medical student in the UK. It revealed to me how essential compassionate support is during this rite of passage. My passion for women's health and childbirth has never waned, and I come with a deep knowledge of the process from working as a family doctor in the UK, then birthing and bringing up my own three children here in the US. I am privileged to work as a birth doula, an advocate in this space, supporting with empathy and calm, helping women to trust their bodies and to achieve a positive birth experience. I help women to know their own body and its amazing capabilities, to trust it, and, in doing so, to own their birth.

Harriet is a wonderful doula and an amazing person. She saved me in so many ways and gave me the exact birth plan I imagined. I only found her a month before my due date and she was able to step in and give me proper guidance. She talked me through all the options on the birth plan. She sent me materials and ideas to deal with pain and anxiety. She has a medical background as well as extensive experience In the field and is constantly keeping up with new technologies. My support person was out of town when I went into labor and Harriet was with me the whole time. She asked questions of the doctors and made sure I got the best care. She voiced my concerns when I couldn't. During active labor she was so soothing and knew tricks to ease the pain - thanks to her I gave birth without an epidural. She followed up with me after and baked delicious cookies! I honestly can't thank her enough. She is a pillar of strength and knowledge and source of calm in the storm.

Simone is a deeply passionate and body-positive doula whose advocacy for birthing people of all sizes and backgrounds shines through her work. She completed her doula training through the AAIMM/Kindred Space program, where she excelled and grew tremendously in confidence and skill. Through hands-on mentorship, she learned to navigate real client concerns and the impacts of racism on birth outcomes, offering insightful, compassionate, and culturally aware support. Clients consistently felt safe, seen, and empowered in her care. Simone is wise, intuitive, and a powerful listener with genuine humility. Any family or birth team would be lucky to have her.

My family has been lucky enough to partner with AnneLisa during our postpartum journey. She is self proclaimed holistic and that term is just right. At night time, AnneLisa comes to your house and spends time checking in with the Mom and finding out any information about baby. She writes notes about her night with baby and shares with both parents. She ends her service by making a very large breakfast (her oatmeal lasted me at least 3 servings each time). During the daytime, she checks in on Mom again, and that can come as talking, French hair braiding or massage. She can also teach you newborn skills like how to take baby out for a walk, or how to bathe baby. On top of all this, AnneLisa partners with a wonderful woman in the insurance industry who can help you check to see what is covered and even help try and get reimbursements. If you’re looking for a doula, while I can only attest to her postpartum skills, I’m sure she’s amazing as a birth doula as well. I highly recommend working with AnneLisa.

I worked with Marquiesa as our birth doula and it was the very best investment in my mental and physical health to support me during my birth and most importantly during my postpartum recovery. She deeply listens to understand and I never felt any sense of agenda, bias, or judgment on her part. From the very first meet and greet, she was invested in my input, preferences, and well-being. She is knowledgeable and practical - which has her always organized, professional, and reliable. These qualities combined with an approachable, humorous, and authentic personality made even the tougher moments of childbirth more manageable. I thought the hard part would be over after birth, but postpartum came with so many challenges , I don't know what I would've done without her support and knowledge . Marquiesa helped me navigate breast feeding , provided guidance for nourishing meals that boosted my supply , showed me the essentials like sanitizing bottles and helped me keep up with the daily tasks of a newborn so i wasn't so overwhelmed . I felt like with her as my doula i was taken care of both mentally and physically and i would recommend her for any doula needs. As some one who suffered from post partum depression i can't say enough about how much she helped me through my motherhood journey.

My experience with Zah was expansive and grounding. During our zoom gatherings I learned to hold space for myself, to share deeply, to allow myself to be seen in my authentic expression, and to show up with whatever elements are currently moving through my ecosystem. I cherish these lessons and carry them within my heart. Thank you, Zah.

My experience with Jade as my doula has been amazing, and I’m so grateful to have had her be a part of my journey into motherhood. Before giving birth, Jade took the time to educate me on what to expect during labor and delivery and taught me about newborn care. As a first time mom, this was really helpful and made me feel more prepared for what was ahead. When it was time to give birth, Jade was truly amazing. She didn’t hesitate to take initiative in the labor room, and whatever I needed, she was right there. Whether it was a cold cloth, my lip gloss, a fan, or water, she was always attentive and making sure I was as comfortable as possible. She was right alongside my partner, helping hold my legs while coaching and encouraging me throughout the entire process. Having someone so attentive and helpful during such an intense and vulnerable moment in my life meant so much to me. She also recorded and captured my birth experience, which is something I will always be grateful for. Being able to look back on those memories and see the moment I brought my son into the world is truly priceless. Her support didn’t stop after I had my son. Her postpartum visits have been great, and I really appreciate the care and support she continues to give me as I adjust to being a new mom. She has also provided thoughtful gifts for both my postpartum recovery and my baby, which I truly appreciate. Those gestures mean a lot and show how thoughtful and caring she is toward both moms and their little ones. I would definitely recommend Jade to other moms, especially first time moms. She has been there for me before, during, and after birth, and I’m truly thankful to have had her by my side during such a special time in my life. She made me feel cared for and supported, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to be part of my birth experience. ??

My due date is June 16th, and I started working with my doula in March. From the beginning, she has been incredibly supportive and informative. My husband and I both appreciate how thorough she is. She takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes sure we feel confident and prepared. She provides a lot of helpful information without ever making things feel overwhelming, and she’s always patient when answering our questions. I truly feel like we’re in good hands with her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring doula.
