After struggling with severe pain during breastfeeding and hearing that discomfort was normal and to keep pushing through, I was beyond grateful when Stephanie came to my rescue. First off, Stephanie knows her stuff! She is so knowledge and passionate about sharing all she can to help with lactation. Stephanie was able to tweak my techniques, give me pointers, and boom, no more pain! With no judgement, and a kind attitude, Stephanie made it easy for me to relax and trust the process. Breastfeeding is NOT suppose to hurt! Who knew! If you're having any sort of issues with feeding or lactation, call Stephanie! Your welcome!

I am a Venezuelan born, Miami raised, queer, cis woman who has always been obsessed with babies and everything birth. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve known that I wanted to work with children and parents. I did everything from teach dance, child wrangle, summer camp counselor, and eventually a full-time nanny. I have worked as a nanny for the last 13 years. I am finally walking the road to becoming a birth and postpartum doula, and I am beyond thrilled to be working with you. My intentions are to bring light, love, safety, and knowledge to families in need of assistance during both birth and postpartum. I believe you should be able to speak freely of any concerns or questions you may have about your pregnancy and newborn. I believe that it is your right to rest and be able to enjoy the journey into parenting, whether it is your first child, or your third.

We cannot recommend Elanor enough. She is an incredible full-time nanny for our family, and has been for the last five years. She handled our first child and then transitioned to handing both when we had our second; she was especially amazing while juggling our newborn and toddler. She is calm, patient, warm, and has never once raised her voice - a quality that has been especially wonderful for our sensitive children. At the same time, she is firm and consistent, sets clear boundaries, and is excellent at discipline in a calm and respectful way. She is incredibly flexible, often staying late or coming early when needed, and even traveled with us on many family vacations, giving us daytime coverage and the opportunity for much needed date nights. She also handles doctor appointments, kids sports/activities, and all the everyday logistics of caring for two young children. She became such a trusted and important part of our family, and we feel incredibly lucky to have her in our children’s lives.

As a first-time mom, I had so many questions (and new ones seemed to come up every week!), and working with Elmira has made such a difference in my pregnancy experience. Even before our birth, she has been incredibly proactive, checking in regularly, answering every question with patience, and often anticipating concerns before I even think to ask. I never feel like I'm bothering her, and that kind of support has given me so much reassurance during a time that can feel overwhelming. One thing that has been especially meaningful for my husband and me is that we're an international couple. Elmira understands both of our languages and cultures, and she naturally incorporates that into the way she communicates and supports us. It has made us both feel seen, understood, and included throughout this journey. We're genuinely looking forward to taking her birthing classes together because we've already learned so much from her. She has a calming presence, is incredibly knowledgeable, and truly cares about the families she works with. If you're looking for a doula who is responsive, compassionate, and invested in helping you feel informed and confident every step of the way, I wholeheartedly recommend Elmira. We're so grateful to have found her and can't wait to continue this journey with her.

Shortly after, Ines started working for the childbirth education department at a prestigious Bergen County hospital, where she gained a great deal of knowledge about maternity services. After the birth of her second child in 2014, she decided to become a childbirth educator. Through her two birth experiences, she realized that the power of knowledge can have a positive impact on birth outcomes. While working as a childbirth educator at the hospital, Ines saw the necessity of giving additional support to her clients. She has trained with DONA International to obtain all the required skills to assist mothers during the birth process. Ines is dedicated to expanding her knowledge by attending maternal and child health conferences, seminars, and networking with health professionals in the community. Hiring Neisha was one of the best decisions I made as I prepared for childbirth, and I would whole-heartedly recommend her to anyone. While I was initially unsure about whether I wanted to hire a doula, after interviewing Neisha I was convinced that it would be helpful to bring her on to support me and my husband before, during, and after the delivery of our first child, and I was not disappointed. I ultimately had a very positive birth experience, and I credit Neisha for giving me the preparation, knowledge, and validation needed to make informed decisions and clearly communicate my preferences during labor and delivery. Early on, she provided us with ample online resources to begin our childbirth preparation. During our prenatal meetings we developed a birth plan, practiced comfort techniques, and discussed the essentials of breastfeeding and newborn care. Throughout my labor Neisha calmly fielded our increasingly anxious calls about whether to take Pitocin and when to begin the epidural. She was a reassuring presence in the delivery room, suggesting alternative positions and providing encouragement to me and my husband through two hours of pushing. Postpartum, Neisha helped with breastfeeding, and continued to check in for several weeks after the end of our official contract as I dealt with a difficult and unexpected complication. Neisha’s professionalism and expertise combined with her warmth and sense of humor made her an invaluable part of my birth team. I would absolutely hire her again. (PS - she is also an incredible massage therapist!)

Christina was wonderful from the beginning! I connected with Christina in the beginning of my pregnancy and she was supportive and had my back right up until my baby was born. We had monthly calls that were always very informative and made me feel so supported. During our calls Christina never rushed me or made me feel like my questions were silly. She also answered and questions I had in between our scheduled calls. Christina understood my vision for my birth from the beginning and helped me transfer care in the middle of my pregnancy. Christina made me feel confident, heard, and prepared for my delivery. She also helped me navigate complications during my pregnancy and gave me the tools to advocate for myself. During my delivery she came while I was in active labor and jumped right in. She brought fake candles and aromatherapy for me which were so nice. I had a hard time once my water broke and she really helped me through it. I also had to make the decision of continuing with labor or getting a c-section and she talked it through with me and my boyfriend. I ended up getting a c-section and she stayed with me in the OR the entire time. She was also a huge support for my boyfriend who was extremely scared for me and our baby. She also took amazing pictures of my surgery and or me and my boyfriend during the c-section. I was pretty out of it and didn’t realize she was taking pictures which I’m so thankful for now. I also asked Christina if she would make prints with my placenta after the delivery. She was happy to do so and they came out beautiful! Christina stayed with me and my family until about 5 am to make sure we were all ok. Christina exceeded my expectations and truly made my pregnancy so wonderful. My birth did not go as I planned but her support truly made the difference for me. She has also been a huge support postpartum! She is a wonderful doula and human being and I highly recommend her for your pregnancy 💕

As first time parents, my wife and I went into her pregnancy with nervous anticipation. Even after reading the books, going to feeding seminars and ingesting as much information as possible there was still the fear of the unknown. Brie calmed all of those fears with her knowledge, experience and calm demeanor. I will never forget her steady hand when we faced unexpected challenges. She took my and my wife's fears and confusion, explained our options and helped give us the birthing experience that we wanted. I could not imagine doing this again without her. I can't express my gratitude enough Brie. You helped deliver my daughter and for that I will always be grateful.
