Christina Manuel

7 years of experience

Hi!!!! My name is Christina, and I am an Afro-Caribbean full-spectrum doula based in Arizona. I am deeply passionate about supporting people through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and reproductive transitions with care that is affirming, culturally rooted, and grounded in reproductive justice. I believe birth and healing are sacred experiences that deserve to be met with compassion, informed choice, and respect for each person’s identity and story. Coming from a background shaped by Afro-Caribbean traditions and community care, my philosophy centers presence, intuition, and advocacy. I strive to create a calm, judgment-free space where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered to make decisions about their bodies and families. I bring strong communication skills, trauma-informed support, and a steady, grounding presence into my work. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting and dancing — creative practices that keep me connected to my body, rhythm, and rest, and that deeply inform how I show up for the families I support.

I truly don’t have enough words to describe how impactful it was having Christina as our doula. From the moment we connected, I felt a sense of calm and reassurance that I didn’t even realize I needed. Pregnancy can feel overwhelming, especially navigating all the information, decisions, and emotions—but Christina made everything feel manageable and grounded. She took the time to educate us without ever being pushy, supported our choices fully, and made sure we felt confident every step of the way. During labor, her presence was everything—she advocated for me, kept me centered, and created such a peaceful, empowering environment. I felt in control of my experience, which is something I will always cherish. Postpartum is where she truly went above and beyond. The overnight support changed my entire recovery. Being able to rest while knowing my baby was in safe, loving hands was priceless. She helped with feeds, kept things clean and organized, and even made sure I was eating and taking care of myself too. It never felt transactional—she genuinely cares. As a Black woman, having someone who understands the nuances of our care and shows up with both compassion and knowledge made all the difference. I felt seen, protected, and deeply supported. If you’re considering hiring a doula—this is your confirmation. Christina is the kind of support every family deserves.

Patricia De la Rosa-Acosta

I’m Paty, a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, proudly serving families across the Phoenix area and West Valley — including Goodyear, Buckeye, Litchfield Park, Avondale, Glendale, Surprise, Peoria, and Tolleson. As a bilingual (English–Spanish) doula with a degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, I bring both heart and knowledge into my care. My background allows me to support families not just physically, but emotionally and educationally — helping them feel calm, confident, empowered and deeply connected throughout their journey. Since I was a little girl, I’ve dreamed of working in maternal health care. Becoming a doula is truly the fulfillment of that dream — a calling that lets me serve families during one of life’s most transformative seasons. As a mother of four, including two children I birthed myself, I understand the beauty, vulnerability, and sacredness of giving birth. My mission is to walk beside you — to remind you that you are capable, strong, and deserving of care, respect, and love. At Madre Moon Doula, I honor the mind, body, and spirit of every birthing person. Together, we’ll embrace the sacredness of bringing new life into the world — one birth, one heartbeat, and one moon phase at a time. 🌕

After a difficult first birth I knew I wanted a doula for extra support with my second, and I am so glad I found Paty! She was a wonderful person to have in my corner. She brought so much clarity and peace throughout my pregnancy. She was easy to talk to and very responsive to my questions. I felt calm and confident in labor and so much of that is from Paty’s expertise and loving presence. She also helped me feel so safe and supported in the postpartum period. I wish I had her around my first baby, it would’ve made such a difference. I highly recommend Madre Moon, you will not regret it. It’s such an important time in women’s lives and everyone deserves to be supported by someone like Paty.

Hello! My name is jabria but I go by Rosalind. It was a nickname given to me in the Army. My background is 12 years of medicine as a medic in the Army. I am still serving in the Army national guard. I have my certified personal training certification and group fitness certification; and I am currently enrolled in exercise physiology through Concordia University, in pursuit of practicing medicine as a physician assistant upon completion of my bachelors in Fall 2026; and masters hopefully 2028. I pursued becoming a doula because I have always been passionate about women’s health. In fact, I took up personal training because I wanted to help women in postpartum combat depression and snap back to theirselves. I witnessed many friends struggle with taking the army physical fitness test and figured there had to be some way to be of some impact for all women who may deal with this, in either their career or daily life. Being a doula is important to me because I believe that women need more support in child birth and labor. I want to be apart of breaking the stigma with childbirth being painful and scary. I want to be apart of making childbirth more comfortable and a beautiful experience for women. I also believe with my expertise that I could offer packages that benefit women physically and mentally pre and post partum.

My experience with Jabria from start to finish has been absolutely amazing. Transitioning to a new state where I had no family nearby, I had a lot of concerns and emotions surrounding my pregnancy and birth experience. Jabria took the time to truly listen to all of my concerns—from my transition, my concerns about the hospitals, and my needs and wants for my labor experience. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt supported. She proactively checked in on me, made sure she was available to help in any way possible, and even met with me beforehand to practice labor exercises and go over other things that would help me feel prepared for birth. When it was finally time for labor, she stayed in contact with me. I went to the hospital around 3 AM, and when I reached out to let her know it was time, she immediately responded and talked me through what I could do to help progress my labor. She showed up at the perfect time and was there every step of the way. She helped assist the nurses in making sure I was comfortable, helped position me during labor, and even stepped in to support me when my partner and I both needed to rest. She was constantly checking on me, making sure I was okay, and advocating for my needs. She was also able to capture some amazing photos throughout my labor that I will cherish forever. I appreciate Jabria more than I can put into words. She has been so much more than a doula—she has truly become a great friend and someone I felt completely comfortable trusting during such an important and vulnerable time in my life. I would absolutely recommend Jabria to any woman looking for a doula and someone who will genuinely advocate for her, support her, and make sure she feels heard throughout her pregnancy and birth experience.Thank you so much, Jabria, for everything you have done for me. I am truly grateful to have had you by my side! ❤️

Olivia Davin

Hi, I'm Olivia. Originally from London and now proudly based in Phoenix, Arizona, I'm a certified postpartum and infant care doula with a passion for helping families feel supported, confident, and cared for during one of life's biggest transitions. As a mother of three boys, I understand that no two babies—and no two families—are ever the same. My goal is to provide calm, compassionate, evidence-informed support tailored to your unique needs, whether that means helping you settle into life with your newborn, offering practical guidance, or simply being a reassuring presence during those early weeks. Before becoming a doula, I spent many years working as a television producer, coordinating complex projects, solving problems under pressure, and supporting people through fast-paced, ever-changing situations. Those skills, combined with my personal experience as a mother, have given me a calm, organized approach and an ability to anticipate the needs of the families I work with. I am certified in Postpartum & Infant Care through ProDoula, CPR certified, and currently expanding my education in lactation support by training to be a Certified Lactation Counsellor. I believe every family deserves to feel heard, respected, and empowered, and I strive to create a non-judgmental space where parents can ask questions, build confidence, and enjoy getting to know their new baby. It would be an honor to be part of your family's journey, and I look forward to supporting you with kindness, encouragement, and practical care every step of the way.

Hi, I’m Amanda Carlton! I live in Mesa, Arizona with my husband and our two young boys. I’ve always had two passions: child development and aviation. I earned my degree in Child Development from California State University, Chico, and later pursued a career as a commercial pilot. While they may seem like total opposites, both fields bring out the curious, research-driven side of me—I love understanding how things work, whether it’s the science of aerodynamics or the developmental journey of a child. When I became a mom, I quickly realized how valuable my child development background was—but even with that, I struggled with my first son’s sleep. Frequent night wakings, short naps, and total exhaustion left me feeling lost. We eventually worked with a pediatric sleep consultant, and by night three, my son was sleeping through the night. The transformation was life-changing—we went from surviving to truly thriving. That experience inspired me to become a certified pediatric sleep consultant myself. Now, I have the privilege of helping other families find the peace and rest they deserve. My approach is fully customized—because I know there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to sleep. I tailor each plan to the individual child and family, and I don’t just hand you a plan and disappear. I’m with you every step of the way to guide, support, and adjust as needed—until sleep is no longer a stressor in your home. Let’s get your family from surviving to thriving.

Amanda assisted us in sleep training my now 8 month old baby boy. She was there the whole time answering all my frantic text messages and giving me support when I needed it most. I hit my rock bottom, worn out and sleep deprived navigating these waters but, what made it worth it, was knowing Amanda was by my side. I was worried that we weren't going to get there as he was very persistent and the nursing habit was difficult to break. However, Amanda walked me through it and assured me that it was okay and his protesting will end....and it did. Thank you for the support. I am really glad I reached out as I am now managing my two under two with dad out of town. I couldn't do it without my sleep. Thank you for reminding me what 8 hours of solid sleep can do for you! Highly recommend!
