Hi I’m Johanna! I’m a full spectrum doula, photographer, midwifery student, and mom to two little boys. I’m very passionate about birth and supporting parents on their journey into parenthood. My care philosophy is based on the idea that every parent deserves caring, respectful, and individualized support. I understand how much giving birth can affect parents and their families, and I aim to care for my clients as they go through this impactful experience.

I practice trauma informed, perinatal, birth, and postpartum support for all birthing bodies, couples, single and single by choice parents, adoptive parents, and families on their surrogacy journeys. I love my job! Supporting parents through labor, birth and postpartum is amazing, and rewarding, and what I feel called to do. I am a birth and postpartum doula, as well as a childbirth educator and a lactation educator. Having an understanding of your options is a big part of preventing birth trauma. Educating parents about how they can better navigate their labor and the medical system is a big part of what I do. I support folks emotionally, physically, with information/resources, and with advocacy (and photo documentation of their labor). We usually have some fun too!

Hi, I’m Mehri. I’m a mom of two girls, and I truly believe there is nothing more important than helping a mother feel safe, supported, and never alone. I went through this-when you dont have any support, no one can understand you, even sometimes your friends or your family members. During my pregnant period I almost lost 2 my best friends because of I was expecting from them support that I never received, not because of they dont care, they just dont know how to deal with that. Life once surprised me with an unexpected home birth before the ambulance arrived. In that moment, I learned that staying calm, taking a deep breath, and having someone beside you can change everything. Since then, I’ve carried that feeling with me. I love listening, encouraging, making tea, holding a baby so a mom can rest, or simply sitting quietly when that’s what’s needed. Families often tell me that they feel calm around me, and that’s the greatest compliment I could ever receive.
