I’m a DONA Certified Birth Doula & Advanced VBAC Doula, Certified Lactation Counselor, owner of Saltwater Doula, and an educator and agency coordinator at the Relief Doula Agency based out of Relief Parenting Respite and Resource Center in Hampton, NH. I am also the lucky mom of two sweet and salty girls! Hi, I’m Nicolette Meinert, the founder of Family In Bloom. I have worked with children and families since 1997, when I completed my first American Red Cross babysitting course. My path in early childhood care began in Wakefield, Massachusetts, where I volunteered in summer-school and after-school programs while attending Galvin Middle School. I first trained as a doula in 2009, after the birth of my (much) younger brother. I was inspired by my mother’s experience and wanted to help birthing people own their births and find their confidence as a new parent through the birthing process. I went on to study Maternal and Child Health graduating from Boston University with a Master in Public Health.
