I am a Certified Birth Doula whose work is deeply rooted in compassion, strength, and connection. A mother of three, a Certified Hypnobirthing Childbirth Educator, Lamaze Childbirth Educator (certifying), postpartum doula, placenta encapsulation specialist and Social Service Worker, I bring a steady, nurturing presence to every family I support. Whether advocating fiercely for your needs, holding space with tenderness, or wrapping you in one of my famously comforting hugs, I am committed to being a steady, grounding presence as you welcome new life. I believe birth is a normal process that people underestimate their ability in, and hope to be a part of putting an end to fear-based, patriarchal approaches to bringing babies into the world.

We had an amazing experience with Nina and cannot recommend her highly enough. Her hypnobirthing classes were incredibly helpful and gave us the knowledge, techniques, and confidence to feel prepared for the birth of our daughter. During labour, Nina was calm, caring, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive. She knew exactly when to guide us, reassure us, and help my wife through the difficult moments. As a husband, I also really appreciated having her there—her experience and support made a huge difference for both of us. We are truly grateful that Nina was part of such an important moment in our lives. Thank you so much, Nina, for everything you did for our family!

Hello birthing parents! My name is Linda May. I am an experienced doula ( over 12 years ), with a passion for helping clients who have experienced birth trauma. Congratulations on beginning your journey into motherhood! As a mother of four babies I remember what an exciting but also a little frightening time this is. I love being a doula because I can help women decrease their fear and turn it into empowerment. My background as a nurse helps me to understand the scientific evidence that shows having a doula as part of your birth decreases labour times and the need for interventions. It is wonderful that you’ve been able to reach out and find support. As Ina May Gaskin said, we are not lemons! I strongly resonate with her belief that we were created to birth, and it would be my honour to support you and help give you the birth that you are looking for, whatever that means for you. Sincerely, Linda May. Ps. Please bear with me with regards to my social media presence! I am in the process of updating everything including my website. Linda was amazing! During my second pregnancy, I was looking for a doula who could support me in having a more positive birth experience. My first labor and birth were very traumatic, and I wanted someone who would help me advocate for myself and feel confident in achieving the peaceful and empowering birth I had always dreamed of. From the beginning, Linda was such a warm, comforting, and reassuring presence. She patiently answered all my questions and was incredibly knowledgeable, especially with her background as a nurse. She had also given birth at the same hospital in London where I planned to deliver, so she was able to share valuable insight and help me feel more prepared for what to expect. Linda went above and beyond to make sure I felt informed, confident, and supported throughout my pregnancy and birth. She made me feel heard and empowered to make decisions that felt right for me. I'm so happy to say that I was able to have the peaceful and empowering birth experience I had hoped for, and I truly believe so much of that was thanks to Linda. I'm incredibly grateful for her support and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive doula!

Mimi made THE difference between a potentially distressing and re-traumatizing birth experience, and a powerful memory I can look back on with pride and joy for the rest of my life. I personally had planned for a home birth but ended up needing to be in the hospital due to PROM. Mimi knew and cared about my birth plan and helped me achieve a birth that still felt as close as possible to the type of birth I was hoping to have. She also really honed in on the type of emotional and physical support that I needed in a very personalized way. My midwives were very impressed with her knowledge and presence, and literally told me to "recommend her to everyone" so that's what I am doing. Thank you Mimi!

I cannot recommend Isabel Nantaba enough as a birth and postpartum doula. From the moment we met her, she brought a sense of calm, confidence, and compassion that immediately put me at ease. During labor, Isabel provided unwavering support, intuitive guidance, and gentle encouragement, helping me feel empowered and informed every step of the way. Her care didn’t end after birth; she was a constant source of support during the postpartum period. She helped me navigate the early days with practical advice, emotional reassurance, and hands-on assistance, making the transition to parenthood so much smoother and less overwhelming. Isabel’s approach is both professional and deeply caring. She truly listens, adapts to your needs, and creates a nurturing environment for you and your family. Choosing Isabel as our doula was one of the best decisions we made, and I am so grateful for her presence during such a transformative time in our lives.

I’m Desiree, a mom of five, an educator, and a certified birth and postpartum doula. I’ve had five unmedicated births (one of those births happened at home…on purpose). These personal experiences helped me find my way to birth support and have shaped the way I walk alongside families today. I know birth and early parenthood can feel both beautiful and overwhelming, and my goal is to help parents feel prepared, supported, and truly seen through it all. My philosophy is simple: Your Journey, Your Desired Way! Your choices matter! If you’re asking me, DESIREE IS HIGH RECOMMENDED. She blended seamlessly with my midwife team and had such a natural ability to read the room. She knew exactly when to step in and offer support, what I needed in the moment, and when to give space. Her presence required no direction—she intuitively flowed with the process. Even in the challenging moments, she carried a calm and grounding presence, and in the lighter moments, she filled the room with joy and laughter. Her support created such a safe and uplifting atmosphere for my delivery. She was such a meaningful part of my redemptive birthing experience, and I am deeply grateful for her role in making it so calm, joyful, and empowering.

Jen was our doula for the birth of our first child in April 2026. We had a wonderful experience with her throughout. She has a very relaxed, reassuring energy. Mama Bear is the perfect way to describe her vibe! Our first 2 meetings were great and she had information about everything we asked (and more!) She also sent follow up emails with lots of resources for us to look through after our initial sessions. In the final weeks leading up to the birth, she was very communicative and checked in frequently. She was very reassuring when I was having concerns and fears, and she really helped me to manage the anxiety I was feeling about childbirth. Jen also helped walk us through making an informed consent document (birth plan), but also supported us when we decided on something different in the moment while I was in labour. During early labour, she came to our home and helped support both my husband and I with various positions, counter pressure, pain management, and decision making. She accompanied us to the hospital, helped us settle in, and came back after I had rested for several hours. She arrived before the birth and was a strong advocate for me with the midwives and hospital staff, and it took a lot of pressure off of my husband (who was already doing so much to help). It was so helpful to have someone who was familiar with the birthing process and hospital by our side for support. Jen's postpartum visit was so lovely! Seeing her again in a relaxed way after such intensity was really special. She held the baby and gave us some tips and advice on what to expect in the coming weeks. I expect we will ask her for some extra post-partum visits once my husband is back at work. What an amazing woman to have involved with our baby's life. We are so lucky to have found her. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for doula support. Thank you, Jen!

I am a birth worker since 2012, I have provided a variety of services in a variety of settings around the world. I am located in Toronto, Canada, but I am available to travel for minimum one month commitments. I have worked in Macau & Hong Kong, Manila, Nairobi, Vancouver, and Guadalajara, and have a global perspective on birth physiology and traditions. I provide trauma-informed, and culturally safe care, be it education, lactation support, birth and postpartum doula services, or midwifery care. I’m available as a midwife only where a license isn’t required. My approach is very collaborative—rather than “save” you from unsafe practitioners, I prefer to work with you comprehensively in the prenatal period to be sure you have the environment you need for a peaceful and satisfying (physiologic, if possible) birth. My years and depth of experience and knowledge sets me apart from most locally-focused doulas, so I tend to work well with expats and globe-trotters like myself. My happy place is home in Ontario in the near North, at the cottage that has been a part of my family’s experience for 100+ years. I love all animals but especially dogs, and I ADORE drinking coffee and discussing big ideas.

If you want the best, hire Christy. Where to begin? We LOVED working with Christy. If you’re reading these reviews wondering if you should have her as your doula, you definitely should. Our experience with Christy was nothing short of extraordinary. After the birth, I described Christy to my husband as our angel - as it felt that she magically appeared and blended in, giving just the right level of support and guidance, without being overbearing or intrusive. Her presence felt very natural and she completely put myself and my husband at ease. Christy played a pivotal role in helping me establish breastfeeding, which really helped set us up for success with feeding, and having her there to help with this immediately after the birth was invaluable. After our daughter was born, Christy continued to check in with us, and we felt extremely well looked after. She is clearly an expert both in caring for mothers in the postpartum period, but also in caring for newborns, and her years of experience meant we felt in very capable hands. Her dedication to postpartum care is unmatched, and her deep understanding of the emotional and physical needs of both the birthing person and their partner is truly remarkable. Christy’s passion for what she does shines through in every interaction, and her knowledge in perinatal care is both comforting and empowering. I give Christy my highest recommendation – any family would be very lucky to have her as part of their parenting journey!

Hi, I’m Emma, your local birth bestie and birth aficionado! I’m a DONA trained doula based out of Toronto, ON looking to support families throughout their birth journey. My goal is to provide amazing care to each client, tailored to their specific needs. Ever since I was young, I have been passionate about supporting families. Inspired by my childhood dreams of being a early childhood educator, an OBGYN and later a midwife, I have always felt a strong pull towards family care and birth work. In my community, I started by becoming the favourite neighborhood babysitter, then in University I became a loving part time nanny, then moved on to work as a manager of a children’s swim school for several years. Alongside my passion for birth support, I have a deep appreciation for art and creativity. I spent three years working at an art gallery and went on to get my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Painting. Even then, my dream of caring for families never left me, with my passions leading me to run impromptu prenatal education sessions during lunch breaks at work. In May of 2024 I made the exciting decision to take a step back from my art career and focus full time on becoming a doula. Now, I am dedicated to being the best “birth bestie” I can be for my clients by proving them with compassionate care, encouragement, and unwavering support every step of the way.

Words can’t fully express how grateful we are to have had Doris as our birth doula. From the very beginning, she brought such a calming, grounded, and nurturing energy into our journey. She took the time to truly get to know us—our fears, hopes, and birth preferences—and made us feel completely supported and empowered every step of the way. During labor, Doris was an absolute rock. She created a peaceful environment, gently guided me through each contraction, and helped my partner feel confident and involved. Her presence was intuitive and comforting—knowing just when to offer words of encouragement, grounding touch, or simply hold space. She honored our birth plan while remaining flexible and wise when things needed to shift. What stood out most was how she held space not just for the physical birth, but for the emotional and spiritual process too. Her care felt ancestral, like something deep and sacred was being honored. Postpartum, she checked in with such genuine care, offering wisdom, warmth, and reassurance when we needed it most. If you’re looking for a doula who is deeply attuned, knowledgeable, and truly walks beside you in love and respect—Doris is it. She made our birth experience not only beautiful, but transformational
