My name is Laura, I’m a birth doula and prenatal/postnatal yoga teacher. I began my birth work journey after working in maternal mental health research at UNC for 4 years and hearing countless stories of birth trauma which only contributed to new mother's PPD, I decided it was time to be on the front lines and dove headfirst into birthwork. I believe that birth doesn't have to be traumatic, that it can be a sacred, transformative, and empowering journey unique to each individual.

Having grown up in Vermont, I was always around breastfeeding mothers, clean living, and being part of a village for new parents.
