Hello there, I’m Lucy Weidig. I’m a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, and newborn care specialist, devoted to serving women physically, emotionally, and physically throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences. I was born and raised in Michigan then relocated to Northern Kentucky in 2017. Besides being a doula, I love to learn about health, read fiction, go hiking, and do anything and everything with my amazing husband. Becoming a doula was never in my plans, but I have a passion for reproduction, babies, and all things women’s health which inspired me to take a doula training with ToLabor, an organization in Richmond, Virginia. Hello! My name is Brittany Thomas. I am a jack-of-all-trades mother of nine children (and soon to be grandma!) I have always had a passion for helping women and children in my community with a special focus on first time mothers. I had counseled at a crisis pregnancy center for 6 years and unofficially supported close friends and family members through pregnancy, labor, birth, breastfeeding, postpartum and parenting for the last 15 years. I then finally decided to make a career out of it and I am now a Ceritfied Birth Doula through DONA. I had my first child at 19 and knew almost nothing about pregnancy, labor and birth which resulted in a very difficult and traumatic delivery and postpartum. After that experience I was determined to research and learn everything I could about human anatomy, the female body and reproductive system, pregnancy, labor, birth and breastfeeding. I went on to carry and give birth to 6 more children (and breastfeed all of them) each of them having unique challenges which provided me with invaluable experience. It is my dream to see a time in which education and caring personal support of women, from pregnancy through postpartum, is normal and accessible to all. I would love the opportunity to help you feel prepared and educated to face the various challenges labor and childbirth presents. Hi, I’m Sarah, the heart and soul behind RAS Doula Services. My journey to becoming a doula is deeply personal. My husband and I are parents to five beautiful children, and each pregnancy and birth taught me something different about the strength, vulnerability, and power of motherhood. But our story also holds deep loss. In January 2024, we lost our daughter Riley. Her life, though far too short, changed me forever and became a big part of why I chose this path. I want her life to continue to mean something. Supporting other women as they bring life into the world is one of the ways I honor her. Through my own pregnancies and births, I experienced first hand how important it is for a mother to feel supported, heard, and empowered during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. I was incredibly grateful to have my husband by my side each time, but I often think about how different those experiences could have been if I’d also had a trained support person whose sole focus was helping me through every moment of labor. That realization is what led me to become a doula. Along side my training, I bring the lived experience of carrying, birthing, and caring for five children. I understand the physical intensity of labor, the emotional rollercoaster of pregnancy, and the strength it takes to bring a baby into the world. My goal as a doula is simple: to walk along side mothers with compassion, knowledge, and encouragement. I want women to feel confident, informed, and empowered in their birth experience. Cheryl Bartone, MS, HCHI, CLD Cheryl brings a unique element to the birthing world with her passion for health-sciences and her love of natural solutions. She graduated from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine with a Master’s degree in Epidemiology and has worked for The Christ Hospital in a research setting. The birth of Cheryl’s two children had such a positive impact on her that she decided to train with CAPPA to become a labor doula. She wants nothing more than to support women so they, too, can have the births of their dreams. Since hypnosis was the tool that she used to have her own joyful births she completed her training with Hypnobabies to become a certified Childbirth Hypnosis Instructor.
