Nadine Ostergaard

Hello, I’m Nadine, a Certified Postpartum & Infant Care Doula, and mother of two wonderful girls (ages 7 and 9). I believe every family deserves to feel supported, rested, and confident as they welcome a new baby home. I was born and raised in Germany and have lived in the United States with my husband and our daughters for over a decade. My journey through motherhood — and across cultures — has shaped how I approach care: with empathy, understanding, and deep respect for every family’s unique values, traditions, and choices. Becoming a mother myself opened my eyes to how magical, and sometimes overwhelming, those early weeks can be. I remember the joy, the exhaustion, and the constant learning curve. Those experiences inspired me to become a compassionate advocate for new parents - someone who offers calm, unbiased support without judgment. As your postpartum doula, my goal is to create a nurturing space where you can rest, recover, and bond with your baby in your own way. I provide gentle guidance, emotional reassurance, and hands-on help — always honoring your decisions and beliefs as you find your rhythm in this new chapter of parenthood. Every family’s journey is different, and I’m honored to walk beside you with warmth, understanding, and care.

We had such a wonderful experience with our doula, Dana. She was incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and caring throughout the entire process. Her calm presence and encouragement made me feel confident and reassured during labor, and she was always there when I needed guidance or support. Dana truly went above and beyond to make sure both my baby and I were comfortable and well cared for. I’m so grateful for her compassion, professionalism, and dedication. I highly recommend Dana to any expecting family looking for an amazing doula.

I am Rafaela, a Certified Postpartum Doula through NAPS and a graduate of DONA International–approved Postpartum Doula training. I am also a Birth Doula trained through the Becoming a Birth Doula program with Carrie Kenner and a Newborn Care Provider. I am based in Kirkland, Washington, and provide compassionate, respectful, and hands-on support to families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, helping parents feel confident and supported during one of the most meaningful transitions in their lives. I hold a Technical Degree in Nursing from Brazil, earned in 2010, with more than 2,090 hours of combined theoretical and clinical training. While this is not a U.S. nursing license, it provides a strong clinical foundation for the care and support I offer families. Throughout my professional career, I have gained extensive experience in maternal and newborn care, including supporting pregnant women, newborns, premature infants, and babies requiring specialized care. I bring seven years of hands-on experience working in a maternity hospital in Brazil, where I supported mothers during labor and provided direct care for newborns, including premature infants and babies in the NICU. This experience has given me extensive knowledge in supporting families with newborns who require specialized care. I offer both daytime and overnight support for newborns, premature infants, and their families during the postpartum period. My services include evidence-based newborn care, emotional support for parents, infant feeding guidance, healthy sleep foundations, and practical assistance to help families feel confident and well supported as they adjust to life with a new baby. Families often describe me as reliable, calm, and attentive. I strive to create a warm, organized, and judgment-free environment where families feel supported and confident in their routines while following current American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommendations for safe sleep and newborn care. I am fully vaccinated, have excellent references, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation. Adrea was recommended to me by a friend of a friend, who had used her twice for postpartum newborn care. She is an expert in baby sleep!! Adrea is also very kind, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. She did not have availability to help me at night, but made herself available as much as possible during the day so I could get some much needed sleep. So so grateful for her. Highly recommend!!

Eunice is supporting us as a night doula for our newborn, and she has been incredible from the very beginning. In those first couple of weeks, she not only cared for our daughter but also helped us fine-tune feeding amounts, adjust timing, and better understand our baby’s cues. Her guidance made such a difference. Our nights are now much more restful, and our daughter (now two months old) is sleeping more consistently and becoming more independent. Eunice is dependable, communicative, attentive, and truly attuned to our baby’s needs. Our little one is always happy to see her and continues to sleep more regularly through the night. We truly would not have enjoyed this newborn stage as much without her. We’re so grateful for everything she’s done for our family.

Working with De’Angela has been amazing! She is such an intuitive body worker. The massage I received after giving birth helped my body heal and integrate. Her energy is grounding and nourishing. She is an incredible ally in postpartum. I am so thankful I found her!

— Abigail R., review of DeAngela Anthony August 2026

Laura was truly a life saver after our baby was born. Baby girl ( was very small when she was born, so the combination of concern about baby's weight/size, breastfeeding troubles, a lot of family stress, and awful postpartum depression made things really tough. Laura swooped in with incredible calm, knowledge, endless support, and a soothing touch, and things suddenly felt a bit more manageable. When Laura arrived, she would somehow see the big picture of "what does this house/family need right now?" and also zoom in on me and baby to make sure we were safe and comfy. The days when Laura was in our home meant I could take a shower, take a nap, have a solid meal--all while trusting that our baby was in excellent hands. Her depth of knowledge about pregnancy, newborns, feeding, safety, and overall health is incredible--and she has so many resources to share--but more than anything else, she made us feel incredibly cared for. I cannot recommend Laura highly enough to help smooth the transition from giving birth into the wild newborn days. Thanks to her, we felt less stress, less exhaustion, less worry, and so much more comfort. She's an amazing doula!

— Eva Canary, review of Laura Johnson August 2026

Bethany is truly such a gem, and I genuinely don’t know what my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience would have looked like without her. I went through my pregnancy without the support of a partner, and having Bethany by my side made such a huge difference in my experience. She was so kind, caring, warm, and genuinely supportive from the very beginning. Having her with me at appointments made me feel like I wasn’t navigating everything alone, and during labor, her presence brought me so much comfort. She supported me, helped advocate for me, and made sure I felt heard and cared for during such an important and vulnerable time. What makes her even more special is that her care never felt like it was simply a job. She genuinely cared about me, my baby, and my family. She was so sweet and loving with my older children and made them feel included and comfortable throughout the experience as well. Even postpartum, she continued to show up with the same warmth and thoughtfulness, whether that was checking in on me, supporting me as a new mom again, or even showing me how to make nourishing meals. I feel like I gained a lifelong friend in Bethany. I will forever be grateful that she was part of this chapter of my life, and I appreciate her more than I could ever fully put into words. Any family lucky enough to have her as their doula is getting someone incredibly special. I cannot recommend her enough.
