Hi, Im Andrea. Founder of Maternal Haven, Birth + Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, and Creator of the Haven Circle™ Model of Care. I support families through the deeply transformative journey of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Guided by the Haven Circle’s core pillars of connection, continuity, restoration, and community care, my approach blends holistic healing with evidence-informed practices to create a grounded and nurturing experience for every family. I specialize in providing intentionally curated labor, birth, and postpartum support that honors both traditional wisdom and modern perinatal needs. My work bridges the gap between these worlds ensuring families feel truly held, informed, and empowered as they step into parenthood. Through Maternal Haven, I offer care that is restorative, culturally mindful, and deeply personalized. Because your journey deserves a circle of support that evolves with you, every step of the way. The Values That Shape My Work: I’m a first-generation Latina raised in a multigenerational household where caregiving was shared, community was central, and support was collective rather than individual. I grew up with a deep understanding of the “village”, mutual aid, interdependence, and emotional presence as foundational to well-being. Those early values shaped my path into caregiving. I began my work supporting families as a nanny during children’s most formative years, and later transitioned into birth and postpartum doula care, childbirth education, and mentorship for emerging doulas. Across each role, one belief has remained constant: meaningful support is built through continuity, not urgency. How I Support Families: My approach sits at the intersection of emotional wellness, cultural humility, and practical guidance. I honor ancestral knowledge while also supporting families as they navigate modern perinatal systems and healthcare structures. Through Maternal Haven, I offer support that evolves as families’ needs change, providing steadiness across pregnancy, birth, and postpartum rather than isolated moments of care. A Circle of Care That Grows With You: Whether I’m facilitating a prenatal session, supporting someone through labor, or offering quiet presence during postpartum recovery, my intention remains the same: to help families feel informed, supported, and confident as they step into parenthood. Your journey deserves care that is thoughtful, restorative, and personal. Care that adapts as you do. Care that walks with you, every step of the way.

I have a difficult time finding the right doula for me and i was losing hope, until i was matched with Andrea and i felt like i had a huge relief. My pregnancy was full of ups and downs but Andrea made sure from the start that she was fully by my side and never made me feel alone. Her empathy and comprehension was something that i was definitely looking for in a doula because in my first pregnancy i felt unheard and put to the side while i was in labor with my first daughter. This time around anytime i had any fears or doubts Andrea was always quick to be comforting and supportive with her words. She is such a sweet and special person to me who i will always cherish because she is one of a kind. Durning my labor with my second daughter when it was calm she made everything so peaceful, even when things changed and the energy shifted and i was scared because my body went into fetal ejection reflex and pushed my daughter out at 7cm Andrea never stopped caring for me and going above and beyond to support me and help me ease my anxiety. She also saved my sanity and gave me peace doing overnights and taking care of my newborn while i recovered from my birth. Words cant describe how grateful i am for Andrea she is the best doula out there.

We are beyond grateful for Bettina as our doula for the birth of our son. She immediately felt like a family member upon first interaction. She was wonderful teaching me and my husband techniques to prepare for birth, incorporating our ideas and needs, and helping our birth be the magical experience we were hoping for. Bettina was the captain to our team that was able to function seamlessly. She helped us communicate and all feel safe and heard the whole way. We would have her again as a doula in the future.

Hi, I’m Maribel, a DONA International-certified birth doula and birth photographer based in Irvine, serving Orange County and select surrounding communities in South Los Angeles County/South Bay, the western Inland Empire, and North County San Diego. I didn’t always know what a doula was. I found this work because I needed that kind of support myself, and experiencing what it felt like to have someone calm, familiar, and fully in my corner changed the way I understood birth. Eventually, it changed the direction of my work too. Today, I try to offer families that same sense of steadiness and connection. Before labor, we build a relationship and practice tools so the day feels more familiar. During birth, I adapt to what you need: hands-on comfort, positioning, breathing and relaxation, experience with different tools, a softer ambiance for relaxation, partner coaching, and support around informed decisions. I am especially intentional about partners; my role is to support them, not take their place, so they can spend less energy wondering what to do and more energy simply being your partner. After birth, I stay connected with early postpartum care for the families whose births I attend, including emotional, educational, and practical support within my scope. Photography comes from my love of real-life storytelling. Birth is so absorbing that there are parts of your own story you may not get to see while you are living them: the looks, the gestures, or the small moments surrounding the first time you meet your baby. My documentary approach is quiet and unobtrusive, preserving those pieces so you can return to them later. Birth photography may be booked on its own or woven into doula care. My broader full-spectrum doula work also includes standalone abortion support, pregnancy loss, and infant loss support. Eligible doula services may be covered through Medi-Cal or select commercial insurance benefits.

Maribel was an incredible support person for my wife and me throughout every step of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. From the beginning, she brought a calm, reassuring presence and shared a lot of knowledge about pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care. As first-time parents, we had a lot of questions, and Maribel always made us feel comfortable asking anything without judgment. We especially appreciated her support on the day of birth. She arrived while my partner was in labor fully prepared with supplies for comfort measures, including massage rollers and other techniques that helped during labor. She also guided me in how to better support and comfort my partner throughout the process. Maribel had a grounding presence in the room — she observed and supported us through very intense moments without intervening unnecessarily or overstepping. Another gift she gave us was capturing beautiful photos during our time at the hospital. Those moments were so special to us, and we’re so grateful she took the care to capture them. After the birth, Maribel continued to support us by meeting with us to debrief our experience, help us navigate newborn care approaches, and provide breastfeeding support. Those first few weeks at home can feel extremely overwhelming, and having her guidance during that time was very valuable. We would absolutely recommend Maribel to anyone looking for a reliable doula.

After my son's birth, I was reeling from how well my birth journey went. I heard so many horror stories from friends and family about how their birthing days went. I was appalled for them. Most were pushed around by hospital staff, forced into unnecessary c-sections or just completely unaware of what options they had! I became determined to be an advocate for women who want to feel validated and that they can birth the way they choose. I want to be able to provide a beautiful experience, to anyone who desires it. Having my son empowered me to help other women have the birth of their dreams. I strive for a smooth, calm process, free from stress, judgement and fear. Whether it be at home, a birth center or hospital, all natural, medicated or planned c-sections, I believe that women should be able to do things their own way. Because each and every woman, birth and baby is different, I take pride in supporting you, however you choose to proceed. Hospitals can get confusing, nurses/OB's can get impatient, let me be your advocate through this journey. Let me help you, do you. Let's birth the way that you want.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Betsy!! I found Betsy in my late second trimester and immediately felt like she was the perfect fit for my first childbirth experience. I had no idea what to expect from the experience, but I really wanted someone in the delivery room who was familiar with my needs and who could both help me with the birthing process and could help advocate for my wishes and priorities in the hospital environment. As a medical student, I both know way too much about everything that can go wrong in childbirth and came to the experience with a lot of anxiety. Betsy did an amazing job of helping me navigate my feelings and eased my many many worries throughout my pregnancy without ever making me feel like a burden. When my labor began, Betsy was available and ready for whatever I needed. While my labor looked absolutely nothing like I had prepared for, and the plan was very quickly abandoned, Betsy easily met the challenges of the new situation and provided tremendous support. We are so grateful for Betsy and we look forward to working with her again in the future

My journey to becoming a mother was not easy. I had two very different and difficult births that taught me a lot about myself and the challenges of childbirth. My first birth was a long and exhausting labor that ended in an emergency cesarean. I felt scared, helpless, and disappointed that I couldn’t have the natural birth I wanted. My second birth was a planned cesarian, I felt unprepared, anxious, and overwhelmed by the intensity of the experience and felt guilty for not trying to deliver naturally. Both of my births left me feeling traumatized and in need of healing. These experiences made me realize that there is a gap in the traditional healthcare system when it comes to supporting mothers during birth. I felt that I didn’t get enough information, education, or emotional support from my providers, and that I had to advocate for myself and my baby. I decided to become a doula to fill that gap and to help other mothers have a better birth experience. As a doula, I offer personalized and continuous support to mothers before, during, and after birth. I help them prepare for their birth, cope with their pain, communicate with their providers, and celebrate their achievements. I want every mother to feel empowered, respected, and joyful during their birth.

Doula Laci is an amazing doula for all birthing people regardless of birth plan! Many other doulas I’ve met have pushed an exclusively “natural” birth plan but that doesn’t work for all bodies or families. Laci is amazing, understanding of multiple birth experiences and needs, and a deeply empathetic individual. You couldn’t find a better doula for your birth.

Hi, I’m Yoli! 🤍👶 I’m a certified doula, an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, and the proud **founder and owner of Vida Birth Support . Vida is a Latina-owned business based in Riverside County, California, proudly serving families throughout the Inland Empire and surrounding communities. As a bilingual provider, I am passionate about offering compassionate, culturally sensitive care in both English and Spanish, ensuring that every woman feels understood, respected, and genuinely supported—without language barriers. With years of hands-on experience in Labor & Delivery and Emergency Care, I have witnessed both the incredible beauty of childbirth and the challenges women face when navigating the healthcare system. Throughout my nursing career, I have cared for women during some of their most vulnerable and empowering moments. I have also witnessed too many mothers enter the delivery room feeling overwhelmed, unprepared, unheard, or uncertain about their choices. I knew I wanted to be part of changing that experience. That passion is what inspired me to create Vida Birth Support.💗 My vision was to build something that goes beyond traditional birth support—a place where education, advocacy, compassion, and empowerment come together to help women take an active role in their birth experience. At Vida, our mission is simple yet powerful: **To empower women through education, advocacy, and personalized support so they can approach childbirth feeling confident, informed, respected, and supported.** ✨ **Education Is Empowerment** We offer comprehensive childbirth education classes designed to help expectant mothers and their families understand the incredible changes happening throughout pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Our classes focus on understanding the stages of labor, pain management options, medical interventions, recognizing potential complications, understanding patient rights, and learning how to communicate effectively with the healthcare team. I believe that when a woman understands her body, her options, and her rights, she becomes better equipped to make informed decisions for herself and her baby. ✨ **Compassionate Doula Support** In addition to education, Vida provides personalized birth and postpartum doula services centered on emotional reassurance, physical comfort, encouragement, and continuous support. Our goal is to create an environment where mothers feel safe, respected, and empowered throughout their journey. Whether you're preparing for your first birth or welcoming another little blessing, our team is here to walk beside you, provide guidance, and help ensure your voice is heard. ✨ **A Mission Close to My Heart** As a Latina woman, a mother, and a nurse, this work is deeply personal to me. I understand the importance of having someone by your side who not only understands the medical aspects of childbirth but also recognizes the emotional, cultural, and personal significance of bringing a new life into the world. I am especially passionate about helping bridge the gaps in maternal healthcare and advocating for women who may feel overlooked, intimidated, or unheard. My goal is to build a community where every mother, regardless of her background, language, or circumstances, has access to education, compassionate support, and the confidence to advocate for herself. At Vida, I believe: 🤍 Every mama deserves to feel heard. 🤍 Every woman deserves to understand her choices. 🤍 Every birth deserves dignity and respect. 🤍 Every family deserves compassionate, culturally sensitive care. 🤍 And every mother deserves to enter her birth experience feeling prepared, powerful, and supported. Vida Birth Support is more than a business to me. It is my passion, my purpose, and my commitment to making a meaningful difference in maternal healthcare. I created Vida because I believe we can do better for our mothers, our babies, and our communities. And I am proud to be building something that reflects those values every single day. ✨ Vida Birth Support — Empowering Mothers. Honoring Birth. Lindsay Karevoll

Hello! I’m Lindsay, a birth and postpartum doula and mom of 2. I became passionate about maternal wellness when I was expecting my first child in Norway. I received such quality care — midwives, visiting baby nurses, cushy parental leave! — but I was still missing the emotional support and expertise I needed to help me navigate a foreign medical system and the many anxieties I held as a first time parent. Since then, I’ve learned from hundreds of parents that they, too, needed more support than was available to them. Often times, they felt others were pushing an agenda that was not in their best interest. I became a doula to help change that, one family at a time. I’m here to hold space for you, learn with you, ease your fears, and empower you to feel confident through this important time in your life. If you are looking for a doula to help you birth and nurture your child on your own terms, please consider booking a free consultation with me. I’d love to learn more about you and see if we are a good fit.

Asking Lindsay to be our Doula and specifically assist with postpartum care is the best decision we could have made as parents. Our second born was much more challenging than our first and loved to scream all hours of the day. Not only is Lindsay educated, great at explaining things, and creative, she also has a very patient and calming presence that we desperately needed. SOme of the other Doulas I met were too "out there" and I appreciated Lindsay's "down to earth" responses that were kind and intelligent. She helped us feel confident and stay focused and calm when we thought we couldn't handle the screaming anymore. She gave us reassurance even as second time parents, we couldn't have done it without her!

Aly was amazing and super easy to work with. She communicated quickly and answered all my questions during our consultation. I did my placenta encapsulation with her and she was on top of it as soon as we let her know I was in labor. She dropped off my pills and even included a little extra treat for us. Definitely recommend her services. On top of it all, she’s been super sweet and has checked up on me ppt. Thanks Aly!!
