I’m a DONA-certified birth doula with over 30 years of experience in family advocacy and early childhood development. God led me to this work through the transformative births of my own four children, each one shaping my heart and deepening my passion for supporting others through this sacred journey. In 2020, I followed that calling and founded Mountains of Love Doulas to provide families with evidence-based guidance, emotional encouragement, and hands-on support. Now rooted in Berthoud, Colorado with my husband and our four kids, we soak up every moment we can outdoors—when I’m not holding space for another beautiful birth.

My journey into motherhood began with a medically managed hospital birth, where support during labor and postpartum was limited. Navigating postpartum anxiety, depression, and nursing challenges as a single mother was a deeply formative experience. My second birth—a natural water birth at a birth center attended by midwives and a doula—was profoundly different. It was through that empowering and supported experience that I came to understand the incredible strength of the birthing body, and the vital role that informed, compassionate care plays in a woman’s journey. As I moved through this transformative chapter, I found myself drawn to learning more about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. I became passionate about the power of nurturing, evidence-based support during this sacred transition. That path ultimately led me to doula work, where I feel deeply called to walk alongside women as they move through one of the most powerful experiences of their lives.

Hello, my name is Marissa and I'm honored to meet you. I am fascinated by the innate, primitive, and beautiful ability of our bodies to create new life. A hodgepodge of things led me to becoming a certified birth doula and yoga instructor. The two most influential being the births of my own babes. Those close to me would say I have a unique ability to calm a situation, hold a positive space, and intuitively allow things to be. These qualities made sense as a Doula. Additionally, yoga is a big part of my life (a lifestyle, I'd say...) and was immensely helpful through my pregnancies. That's why I offer a holistic approach with prenatal yoga to prepare your mind/body/spirit for an optimal birth. As an LGBTQIA+ doula, I understand that families can be built in many different ways. Hello everyone! My name is Maggie Baker, and I am a Birth Doula located in Broomfield, CO. Like many Coloradans, I love being outdoors, mostly hiking and camping. I find nature to be healing and provides calm in the chaos around us. Birth doulas have a similar purpose. As a birth doula, my mission is to be a calm presence during the ups and downs of labor. I found my love and passion for supporting families and children in 2002 when I began my career as a Nanny.  I would frequently found myself supporting newborns/infants as a Nanny and chose to transition to a Newborn Care Specialist officially in 2021.  As of 2023, I have supported over 30 families with their childcare and newborn development. In order to bolster my experience and skills, I sought educational opportunities that specialized in newborn/infant care.  I have completed course offerings from Newborn Care Solutions in both Foundational and Advanced levels and am an Elite, CACHE certified NCS; along with being a trained doula and working on my certification for lactation counselor, I continue learning and growing my knowledge through safe sleep courses and many other trainings pertaining to newborns.
