Hi, I’m Caryn Allen, certified childbirth educator, birth doula, and postpartum doula. I was born and raised in the Saint Louis, Missouri area but have called Utah my home since 2013. My husband and I met when he came to Missouri to do summer sales, and what started out as a summer romance turned into 14 years of marriage, 5 moves in 3 states, 4 children, 1 dog, and loads of fun. I enjoy board and card games, sewing, crocheting, movie watching, Dungeons and Dragons, and a good camping trip. I have dreams of one day living on a small farm with a variety of animals, doing birth work for animals and humans alike. I believe that birth is one of the most empowering and transformative experiences a woman can ever go through. How she chooses to give birth will affect her mind, body, and spirit for the rest of her life. I passionately believe that knowledge is power, and with that power comes the potential for truly wonderful birthing experiences. I recently transitioned to postpartum doula work to help families feel supported and confident well beyond their hospital stay! I truly enjoy helping families discover what works best for them and love to help the newborn stage feel a little less overwhelming! I provide a calm, reassuring presence and love creating a peaceful environment where parents can get some rest and know their baby is in caring hands! I provide overnight newborn care.

Having trained as a Doula and Prenatal Yoga Instructor in Washington, D.C., I gained valuable experience supporting mothers in fast-paced medical settings where advocacy and informed decisions are essential. I am a firm believer in Jesus and I follow where I am being lead. The moments to when a friend of mine was delivering her beautiful son , I was there nurturing her, and the little moment of patting her head with a cool cloth was it. It was my moment of emotional connection with women during the most beautiful transition of their story. I have gone through pain of grief in my life that truly has taken me deeper into a true relationship with God and myself. I feel pain when words can not be expressed, I feel love and joy when the words are so exciting nothing can come out. I feel the anxious feeling of the unknown when written in silence. I can’t explain the truth behind it but I know it’s all because God is always working and is calling us to be there for one another. We are not ever meant to do this world alone. Hi I"m Rachel, a Doula of North America (DONA) trained birth doula, a birth boot camp certified childbirth educator and postpartum doula. My background is education, I have worked in every grade from kindergarten to high school, special education, public and charter schools. The birth of my own child in 2016 was what got me into the birth world, but my passion in all of this is teaching families how to have an amazing and confident birth and a restful postpartum time.

After the birth of my second child, I found myself struggling with postpartum depression. Even though I had a good support system, there were many factors at play that left me feeling depressed, anxious, and like I wasn't a good mom.  Thankfully, I was able to receive appropriate care and I was soon feeling better! I felt so incredibly loved and held as I did the work to recover. Because of the wonderful support I experienced from the birth and postpartum world, I decided to transition from my former career of 16 years as a veterinary technician. I am currently in the process of becoming certified as a postpartum doula through CAPPA and I am so excited to continue supporting the new families in my community!
