Hi there! I'm a birth doula and Hypnobabies instructor serving clients throughout Salt Lake and Utah counties. I caught the birth bug during my first pregnancy in 2009, and decided after my second birth in 2013 that I wanted to become a doula. Being involved in birth work has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember! I graduated from Utah Valley University with a degree in Social work where I found joy in listening, and empowering people. Soon after graduating I gave birth to my first daughter and it reignited my passion for birth and desire to want all mamas to have a positive experience during childbirth. Hi, I’m Sarah, Full Spectrum Doula and owner of Birthing Brave! I love taking a physiology first approach to interventions, meaning that regardless of what medical support you need (or want) during your birth we are setting up your body for success by optimizing it's natural processes. (This is great for natural minded mamas who want an epidural or need a medical induction). To do that we start prenatally. I offer a full online birth course with a physiology first perspective in hospital settings, and we do the work together to adjust mindsets, clear fears, improve our health and baby's positioning, and prepare for the unknowns (including NICU and C-Section). During your birth, I love supporting physiology regardless of what interventions come our way. Hi loves! I’m Emily Smith, co-founder of RootedBirth Doulas and a certified birth and postpartum doula. I’ve always been a bit of a “birth junkie,” with a deep love for birth, motherhood, and women’s health. My passion for this work grew as I realized how little many women are taught about their bodies—I love helping women feel informed, supported, and confident during such a transformative time. One of my favorite parts of being a doula is witnessing women move through something challenging and come out feeling strong and empowered. I also spent 18 months doing service for my church where I learned Spanish, and I love supporting Spanish-speaking families whenever I can.

Pregnancy, birth, and babies...I love it all! I see the birth process as a huge opportunity for growth and healing. This is an opportunity for the birthing person to communicate with their body and find their own intuitive & unique way of birthing. This is not just a mother experience but a parent experience, I love getting the partners involved. I am also a massage therapists and birth photographer. Massage during labor can be so helpful and amazing and I love capturing the sweet moments between a couple and meeting your baby!
