Andrea Leon

11 years of experience

Hi there! I’m Andrea Doula, and Newborn Care Specialist with nearly two decades of experience supporting families through every stage of the perinatal journey. My background includes over 10 years in childcare and almost another decade in birth and postpartum work, where I’ve had the honor of helping families welcome their babies with peace, confidence, and support that feels both personal and practical. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating postpartum recovery, or finding your rhythm with a newborn, my goal is to create a calm, and empowering environment where you feel informed, respected, and cared for. From evidence-based education and emotional support to hands-on newborn care and rest planning, I meet each family right where they are. I believe birth and postpartum are sacred, transformative times that deserve compassionate guidance and genuine connection and it’s my joy to walk alongside families as they grow, helping them feel confident, supported, and never alone in the process.

Andrea is truly incredible. The patience, calm, and care Andrea showed during such an intense and overwhelming experience meant everything to us. She was genuinely there for our family every step of the way, and I truly could not have done an all natural birth without her support and resources. Birth was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and having someone so steady, compassionate, and reassuring in the room made all the difference. Even in the chaos and intensity of that moment, Andrea remained supportive and grounding, and I will always be grateful for that. Knowing we were so well cared for pre-natal, during birth, and postpartum means more than I can put into words. We will forever be thankful. ❤️

My primary objective is to advocate for mindfulness and well-being among mothers, babies, and their families, supporting a smooth transition from pregnancy to the postpartum period. Enhancing and supporting parents' confidence and resilience in caring for themselves and their babies.

Makita is very professional caregiver for new borns and babies. She had been a great help for my family when my baby was 4 month old. She is proactive, patient and knowledgable in her field, and even identified early signs of torticollis in my baby. She was the only one that I could trust with my baby alone. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs professional and reliable care support.

Kimberly Noe

10 years of experience

Hi, my name is Kimberly. I am the manager of Gentle Beginnings LLC. I started my birth doula career back in 2020. I was a new mom and realized I had a passion for doula care and I decided to jump into it! Unfortunately, the pandemic made it quite difficult to attend births in person but that didn't stop me. Over the years, I learned many new families didn't just need a support person through birth but also for all the phases that followed. Currently I'm working towards my pediatric sleep consultant certification. My business partner, Evelyn, has 30+ years of experience as a nanny and newborn care specialist, and has recently been certified as a postpartum doula as well. We both decided it was time to start a new company that offered all the services! We look forward to helping you through any part of your journey as a new family and hope you choose us as your providers!

We are so thankful for Kim and her crew during those early months with our daughter. Even as a second time mom it is so helpful to have an extra set of seasoned eyes on your newborn. Our daughter was dealing with some gas issues. She was able to help us figure out what worked for our daughter. We adjusted her bottle and post feeding routine to help alleviate the gas. I also feel that they help lay the ground work for independent sleep which is such a blessing! We cannot thank them enough for the care they have provided for both of our children. If baby three ever happens, they will be our first call!
