Having NiNi as your doula is the best thing you could possibly do for yourself and I mean that! She was there every step of the way, which I know wasn't easy because my anxiety was soooo high and I must have texted her at least 100 times throughout my pregnancy haha! She ALWAYS took the time to calm my worries and reassure me about whatever I was stressing about. But she didn't just calm me she prepared me for it all. I began this pregnancy scared because it was so unexpected and I didn't feel ready to deal with everything that comes with a pregnancy. it's soooo overwhelming because there are so many things you have to be aware of. Well I learned all about everything with NiNi. She introduced me to so many things. I never took herbs before, never did yoga or meditation. and now I do it regularly. My birth experience was so amazing!! I was positive I would be getting the epidural as soon as entering the birthing center- but NiNi and I worked those curbs and did our breathing techniques and she had my husband helping with the hip squeezes....by the time we got to the hospital I only had to push for 20 minutes or so and my baby boy made his appearance!! I have no words for how proud of myself I was! I just couldn't believe it. She really helped me see that I CAN and DID do that without drugs!! I plan to refer her to anyone I know who is pregnant because this lady is a blessing. Thank you again and whoever is reading this- hire her immediately. She goes out of her way to take care of you and treats you like a Goddess and that alone was worth the money. My husband now has to step his game up haha! But all jokes aside- I didn't even know what a doula was before this pregnancy and now I will never give birth without one again- if I do it again.

Sara, has saved my sanity. I think she's saved my husbands too- simply because of my lessened anxiety. I'm a type A girl when it comes to time, and let me tell you, when a baby doesn't sleep, it certainly doesn't help. As a first time mom and a dual business owner, I am a very "do-it yourself" kind of gal. Before two of my friends recommended Sara, I was navigating the web, on new-mom forums, researching myself, and using ChatGPT to try to help with my infants sleep. Did it help, I'd say sometimes, but it never truly made a lasting difference. I was convinced I could do it myself, until I couldn't. I have a wonderful, happy baby. At a young age, she was able to put herself to sleep. However, as she got older, and woke up to the world, it could take us an hour or more to get her to sleep. And somedays, there would simply be no sleep. I needed help, for my baby and my sanity. Sara has taught my husband and I so many things. Let's just start by saying not only does my little girl fall asleep independently, but she also sleeps overnight . She's taught us how to navigate sleep and infant illness. She's reminded us that although babies like consistency, they are amenable to schedule changes and it will not ruin EVERYTHING. She's also made us realize that a sleep failure is not "our fault". Babies are babies and sometimes they beat to their own drum. She's a calm in a whirlwind of a storm. So, if you're questioning hiring Sara and you are anything like I was- DO IT. The first two weeks may be a challenge, but it will change your life with your baby, I promise!

Kayleigh Sovie

Albany, New York

Kayleigh Sovie

Hi! My name is Kayleigh, I’m looking for families who could benefit from affordable overnight newborn care. I’m a mom to a one year old boy, Emerson and he’s the light of my life. Ever since I was a young girl, I’ve always had very strong motherly instincts. As the eldest daughter of 7 siblings, caring for little ones has always been second nature to me. I’m currently working toward becoming a Certified Postpartum Doula, specializing in overnight newborn care. While completing my certification I would love to support you and your family and I would love for you to be apart of my journey along the way! In exchange for my lower rates compared to the average overnight newborn care provider, you’ll receive dedicated, personalized care for your family while helping me gain valuable hands on experience. My goal it to make overnight newborn care more accessible to families who need an extra helping hand, while continuing to grow my knowledge and skills. As a mother myself, I understand just how physically and emotionally exhausting those first few weeks-and even months- can be. The sleepless night, constant worrying, and adjustment to life with a newborn can feel overwhelming. Whether you're welcoming your first, second, or third baby, every postpartum journey is different, and no one should have to navigate it alone. I will provide compassionate, reliable overnight care so parents can rest, recover and wake up knowing their little one has been cared for with love and attention. I come to your home during the night as an extra set of hands so you can rest, recharge, and enjoy greater peace of mind. Whether you're looking for ongoing overnight support, or simply a few hours of uninterrupted sleep. CPR, First Aid, AED certified, in the process of completing DONA certification. I am also fully vaccinated. I'm excited to continue growing my knowledge and gain hands on experience while supporting families during such a special season of life. I'm available to provide a few hours of support or on-going care, 2-4 nights a week, until your baby reaches 16 weeks of age. Families must be within 20 miles of Albany, NY. Thank you for considering me as part of your family's journey. Your support means so much as I work toward becoming a Certified Newborn Care Specialist. I can't wait to help families feel more rested, supported, and confident during those precious newborn days.

I live in Rensselaer, NY with my fiancé, son and two cats. In my free time I love to cook, workout, and read. My philosophy is that every parent deserves to be met with unconditional support throughout their reproductive journey. It is my hope to always be able to offer my clients a way to be satisfied with their birth experience, no matter the circumstances. I have a special interest in the relationship between the mind, body, and baby during the process of birth and I often view the nervous system as a tool to tap into this system. I hope to pursue this interest and deepen my knowledge in the near future by completing a pre and post natal fitness coach certification.

As the husband, I had the privilege of witnessing Lawren's incredible support throughout our pregnancy, labor, and postpartum journey. My wife gave birth, and Lawren played an invaluable role in making the experience smooth and memorable for both of us. She excelled in communication, helping us craft a tailored birth plan and guiding me, a first-time dad, to be a supportive birthing partner. Lawren's expertise and her ability to work seamlessly with hospital staff made the labor experience much smoother and calmer. Her post-birth care and guidance during the postpartum period were invaluable. We can't thank Lawren enough for her unwavering support and recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone seeking an exceptional doula. She made our transition to parenthood a positive and memorable one.

Kara is simply the best. Her support, knowledge, ability to just jump right in to any scenario a drowning new mom might be experiencing - both me and my children are blessed to call Kara a part of our village. I think the most refreshing thing about Kara is her calm demeanor. It’s fair to say I’m often on edge when she walks in and when she walks out the next morning, I’m well rested knowing my baby has been in the best hands. Highly recommend!!!

I enjoyed working with Dy very much. I highly recommend her services and appreciate everything she did for me throughout my pregnancy. From prenatal visits answering all my questions and making me youtube playlists to all the amazing help and support in the delivery room. I'll never forget what she did for me.

— Anastasia C., review of Dynasty Harris July 2026

Kara helped my wife and I navigate the birth of our first child the entire way - from detailed preparation meetings to being at the hospital through most of the labor process to overnight assistance in the first month of being home to being an open source of help and information continually since then. Numerous nurses in the delivery room talked with Kara and were surprised to find out that we were her first clients, given her expertise and wealth of knowledge of different stages of labor and strategies for my wife to help her through the labor process. My wife and I have already recommended Kara's services to other expecting couples and would readily do so to anyone looking for a doula!
