Brittaney brings over five years of experience as an IBCLC, backed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Howard University and a rich clinical background in NICU and postpartum care. Her passion for lactation support was born from her own challenging breastfeeding journey with her daughter—and it’s shaped her into a compassionate, empowering voice for the families she serves today. She specializes in supporting NICU grads, medically complex infants, low milk supply, exclusive pumping, and bottle refusal. She also has experience with inducing lactation, co-nursing, re-lactation, and supporting LGBTQ+ parents. Brittaney is especially skilled with pump and flange fittings and brings an inclusive, strengths-based approach to families navigating everything from breast surgery to tandem feeding, prematurity, and postpartum mood disorders. Her philosophy is simple: every family is different, and her goal is to meet them where they are—with knowledge, empathy, and zero judgment. Families appreciate how she includes partners and support systems in the care plan, ensuring a team-based approach that boosts confidence and makes feeding work in real life. Brittaney offers home visits within the Beltway 8 area and virtual consults anywhere in Texas. Hi! I'm Ali and am happy to meet you! Drawing from my own personal encounters with breastfeeding, I've poured my heart into guiding mamas like you. As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I can't emphasize enough the importance of understanding and support during this journey. When I think about my four kiddos and the challenges I faced with tongue and lip ties, it fills me with a fiery passion to make sure no momma feels alone in her breastfeeding quest. Embracing a holistic perspective, I firmly believe that the magic lies in wholehearted guidance, not just ticking off checklists. Having had the privilege of serving as a Mother/Baby nurse at St. Luke's the Woodlands Hospital and being a part of the amazing Texas Children’s Hospital team in the Houston Medical Center, I've witnessed the immense strength and resilience of mothers and their babies. Whether it's the NICU or an outpatient clinic, every mom and babe have a unique story, and I cherish being a part of it. Always learning, always growing, I'm active with the Houston Area Lactation Consultants and Educators Association (HALCEA), because there’s always something new on the horizon. But let me tell you, nothing compares to the joy of seeing new mothers discover their strength, trusting their instincts, and flourishing in their breastfeeding goals. When I’m not in my professional shoes, I’m fully immersed in the joy of homeschooling my children and being active in our church community. And speaking of communities, BCB feels like home. The kind of warmth and support I've felt here, especially during some challenging times, is what you'd expect from close-knit family. Working with clients and building relationships with some of the finest providers has been the cherry on top. So, let's do this together, y'all! Lean on my experience, my holistic approach, and my genuine wish to see you thrive in your breastfeeding journey. Here’s to new adventures and creating cherished memories! 💙

Hey there, I'm Megan Taylor. Let me give you a peek into who I am and what I'm all about. My journey into lactation support and doula work has been a blend of personal experience and professional dedication. After witnessing the challenges many new mothers face with breastfeeding, both through my own journey and while serving families as a doula, I realized the critical need for better support systems, especially here in San Antonio. I am an IBCLC, birth and postpartum doula, and Certified Childbirth Educator. I have specific training in Low Milk Supply and Reflex-based Oral Function. I'm also proud to hold certifications as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, and Certified Childbirth Educator. What drives me in this work is the opportunity to meet families where they are, to share in their challenges and victories. Beyond the cute babies (though they're a definite bonus!), it's those "me too" moments, those shared experiences, that fuel my passion. In my practice, I take a "wholistic" approach, ensuring that both the breastfeeding person and baby receive comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs. I firmly believe in instilling confidence in mothers, providing practical support, and connecting families with the resources they need to thrive. When a mother feels uncertain or overwhelmed, I strive to validate her feelings and break down the care plan into manageable steps. It's all about empowering resilience and offering support that meets families where they are. As for techniques, I'm a big believer in the basics: skin-to-skin contact, innate feeding reflexes, and yes, even a "nipple spa day" to promote healing and comfort. Outside of my professional role, you'll find me soaking up quality time with my family, buried in a good book, or indulging in some reality TV escapism. I might joke that I'm more of an “indoorsy” type, but I cherish our outdoor adventures just as much. In the words of Amethyst Joy, "Postpartum is a quest back to yourself. Alone in your body again. You will never be the same. You are stronger than you were." It's a sentiment that resonates deeply with me as I walk alongside families on their journeys through birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding.

Lisa knew from a young age that she wanted to be a nurse. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in Fall of 2012, from SFASU. In 2013, she started her career working for a Neuro-Oncologist in Houston who specializes in treating brain cancers. She married her husband, Brian, in 2014. After she experienced breastfeeding difficulties with her own tongue and lip tied baby her journey towards supporting breastfeeding dyads began. In 2017, She returned to work and switched fields of nursing, leaving private practice and entering into the hospital setting. She worked as a postpartum mother/baby nurse at St. Luke’s and quickly became part of the lactation team, having the privilege to enter into many families' first feeding moments and experiences with their newborns. In 2018, she gave birth to her first son, who was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart defect and who spent 1 month in the level IV NICU. During this time, she experienced exclusive pumping for the first 3 weeks until she was allowed to breastfeed him in the NICU. She continued to pump while separated until he came home, where she was able to breastfeed him. In 2020, she became pregnant with her 3rd child. During her pregnancy she obtained her CLC while working towards obtaining her IBCLC. She gave birth to her second son in the Fall of 2020. She has been a licensed IBCLC since January 2021, and later joined Bayou City Breastfeeding that Spring. Lisa has successfully breastfed all three of her children through various challenges including returning to work. More recently, she has become certified with the Child Sleep Institute after having difficulties night weaning her own 2 yr old at the time. The Child Sleep Institute has given Lisa the tools needed to help support families experiencing difficulties in their child’s sleep.

Hello! If you're seeking a holistic, family-centered approach to lactation, infant feeding and parenting support, I'm Suzanne, and I'm here for you. My journey began in 2003 with the foundation of Merry-Go-Round in Kingwood, a haven for moms seeking both community and lactation guidance. By 2014, I was instrumental in establishing a breastfeeding-friendly environment at The Woman's Hospital of Texas. Shortly after, I teamed up with Dr. James Liu, known for his expertise in addressing oral restrictions. Together, we ensured comprehensive care for families grappling with challenges like lip and tongue ties. However, my passion didn't stop there. Recognizing the need for more tailored support, Bayou City Breastfeeding was born in 2016. We passionately believe in empowering parents, firmly holding that they are the true experts on their children. In today's often confusing landscape of parenting advice, we bridge the gap. Beyond mere lactation advice, we're here to build lasting relationships, offering insights on everything from infant feeding to mental health, viewing each family holistically to ensure everyone's needs are addressed. Professionally, I stared out as a Certified Lactation Counselor and achieved the gold standard International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant certification in 2014. I value contnuing education and have pursued additional training in numerous areas related to breastfeeding and infant feeding. Presently, I'm honored to serve as President of HALCEA, nurturing growth in the lactation community. On a personal note, I'm privileged to celebrate 24+ years of marriage and the joy of parenting. Outside of work, I relish running, reading, and painting. I'm here to stand by you, ensuring you feel valued and heard on this incredible journey.
