Mimi made THE difference between a potentially distressing and re-traumatizing birth experience, and a powerful memory I can look back on with pride and joy for the rest of my life. I personally had planned for a home birth but ended up needing to be in the hospital due to PROM. Mimi knew and cared about my birth plan and helped me achieve a birth that still felt as close as possible to the type of birth I was hoping to have. She also really honed in on the type of emotional and physical support that I needed in a very personalized way. My midwives were very impressed with her knowledge and presence, and literally told me to "recommend her to everyone" so that's what I am doing. Thank you Mimi!

Kait Pacheco

I’m Kait, a Toronto-based (but very mobile!), DONA International-trained doula who is ready to support you throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond! I have a strong passion for pregnancy, birth, babies, and supporting new parents, and my patience, care, and understanding nature are what set me apart. I will always listen without judgement and be here to advocate for you and your family. Think of me as your pregnancy and birth coach – whether this is your first child or your fifth, I am here to support you similarly to how a personal trainer helps you at the gym, how a wedding planner helps you achieve your dream wedding, or how a tour guide helps you plan your perfect vacation. From day one, I will support your pregnancy with resources, information, and education; your birth with positivity and hands-on comfort measures; and your early post-partum journey with confidence and love. I will be by your side as you bring your baby into the world whether at a hospital, birthing centre, or in the comfort of your own home. Once baby is born, I will continue to provide you with educational support as well as encouragement and emotional support as you become acquainted with your baby. I will support your infant feeding journey (breastfeeding or otherwise) and offer household organizational support. My first language is English, but I can also support you in conversational French, Portuguese, and basic Italian! Aside from supporting families as they grow, I have a passion for travelling, art, and food!

You're welcome to book a time in my calendar (https://calendly.com/marjwong/30-45min), I'd love to connect OR send a DM on IG @marj.wong As a DONA certified doula, I believe it is within each birthing person’s innate wisdom and ability to give birth. As well, birth should be an empowering experience. Throughout both of my own pregnancies, I practiced prenatal yoga, and I attribute my own remarkable birth experiences to my yoga practice and the HypnoBirthing method. From motherhood, becoming a birth and postpartum doula was a natural progression for me and I quickly found myself fully immersed in supporting clients through pregnancy, labour and beyond. It is in this role where I feel my intuition, guidance, and personal experiences to be incredibly supportive and valuable. The maternal period can be challenging, but with the right support, I know it can also be an incredibly joyous and transformative time. I am a diaper-free, breastfeeding, and HypnoBirthing advocate. I've been trained in many comfort techniques and tend to keep my approach educational and informative. With my help, you will gain the confidence to nourish and care for your baby and yourself in the best way possible. Chat soon and I look forward to supporting you!

We had a wonderful experience with our night doula, Jenny. She was very knowledgeable, experienced, and caring throughout our time with her. As first-time parents, having her support with our newborn gave us so much confidence and peace of mind. Jenny was attentive to our baby’s needs, and offered us many practical advice. Her calm and reassuring presence made a huge difference during those early weeks. We are very grateful for her help and would highly recommend her to any family looking for skilled and dependable newborn support.

We had an amazing experience with Nina and cannot recommend her highly enough. Her hypnobirthing classes were incredibly helpful and gave us the knowledge, techniques, and confidence to feel prepared for the birth of our daughter. During labour, Nina was calm, caring, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive. She knew exactly when to guide us, reassure us, and help my wife through the difficult moments. As a husband, I also really appreciated having her there—her experience and support made a huge difference for both of us. We are truly grateful that Nina was part of such an important moment in our lives. Thank you so much, Nina, for everything you did for our family!

Emma Steeves

Hi, I’m Emma, your local birth bestie and birth aficionado! I’m a DONA trained doula based out of Toronto, ON looking to support families throughout their birth journey. My goal is to provide amazing care to each client, tailored to their specific needs. Ever since I was young, I have been passionate about supporting families. Inspired by my childhood dreams of being a early childhood educator, an OBGYN and later a midwife, I have always felt a strong pull towards family care and birth work. In my community, I started by becoming the favourite neighborhood babysitter, then in University I became a loving part time nanny, then moved on to work as a manager of a children’s swim school for several years. Alongside my passion for birth support, I have a deep appreciation for art and creativity. I spent three years working at an art gallery and went on to get my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Painting. Even then, my dream of caring for families never left me, with my passions leading me to run impromptu prenatal education sessions during lunch breaks at work. In May of 2024 I made the exciting decision to take a step back from my art career and focus full time on becoming a doula. Now, I am dedicated to being the best “birth bestie” I can be for my clients by proving them with compassionate care, encouragement, and unwavering support every step of the way.
