She came at a moment’s notice when I unexpectedly delivered five days early and showed up at our apartment immediately after we arrived home from the hospital. As a first-time mom recovering from a C-section, her support was truly invaluable. Alecia’s calm, warm demeanor is unmatched. She is quite literally a baby whisperer. Within just 72 hours, she helped get our baby boy into a comfortable routine with eating and sleeping, and he feels completely at ease with her. She works around the clock, is incredibly attentive, and provides thoughtful, reassuring guidance on every aspect of newborn care. My husband and I genuinely would not have been able to do this without her. Alecia even accompanied us to our first pediatrician visit, offering support and confidence during what can be such an overwhelming milestone. She has been a bright, steady ray of light during an intense and emotional time, learning how to care for a newborn while I was also recovering from surgery. Kerrian helped take care of our new born daughter since Day 1 until about 3 months and I am eternally grateful that Kerrian was in our lives during this precious period. Kerrian has decades of experience with newborns and from Day 1 was able to understand the needs of our daughter and teach us how to take care of her (she is our first child). She was so gentle, loving and tuned into our daughters cues, it was remarkable. Cavelle began working in our family in June 2021 taking care of our 6 day-old boy/girl twins for 8 weeks. “Taking care” is a very passive phrase to explain what Cavelle does. Cavelle and I formed a bond from the moment we met over facetime, where she offered an abundance of advise and wisdom in preparing for the twin’s arrival months before they came. I was a first time mom with zero knowledge and Cavelle has taught me absolutely everything about newborn childcare in way that is carefully and specifically tailored to the needs not only of each of my twins but also for me, and our family. Cavelle created a scheduled routine for the twins that was mindful of their growth and development as well as one that was practical for our lives in such a way that we thrived as a new family of four. Because of the way Cavelle structured and implemented our bedtime routine, our newborn twins were able to sleep in 8 hour stretches in the night by 6 weeks. I cannot emphasize enough how Cavelle’s care for the twins allowed for them to thrive and develop in their early weeks. To demonstrate Cavelle’s wealth of knowledge and expertise, when we faced medical issues or questions, our pediatrician always echoed Cavelle’s first given advice and plan of care. Thanks to Cavelle’s incredible work ethic and multi-tasking style, my husband and I were able to not only get sleep at night and be fully functioning during the day (which is unheard of for newborn parents) but also easily enjoy the luxury of one-on-one time out of the house because we knew that the twins were under the best care with no interruption in their routine. Cavelle provided guidance at every aspect of the newborn journey from breastfeeding, pumping, and breast care, to accompanying trips to the pediatrician, to soothing techniques and differentiating each type of cry for each baby. As a first time mom, Cavelle fostered confidence in me by giving me the tools required in understanding each of my twins’ individual needs and how to properly tend to them. Cavelle goes above and beyond just newborn care by putting her heart and soul into the inceptive upbringing of babies by instilling her love and exceptional expertise. It is the absolute best decision in having Cavelle join our family as a baby nurse for our twins. Donneta was the best decision we made as a family! As new parents, it was incredibly important to have a newborn care specialist who was very professional and experienced. As a pediatrician training in allergy and immunology, safety was my number one priority and Donneta has far surpassed my expectations. She is dedicated to ensuring my baby and I are very well taken care of. She does all of his laundry, bottle and pump part prep, tidying the house and is overall a very respectful house guest. Kesha was our family's night doula during the first few months of life for our son. She fundamentally changed the way we approached care during this time, and I question if we could have made it without her! I can't say enough great things about Jossy. We hired her as our postpartum doula for the first six weeks following the birth of my son. From the moment I first spoke with her, I was drawn to her easygoing attitude and comforting nature - I spoke with a number of doulas, and Jossy was the one I felt most at ease with. The conversation flowed naturally, and it was immediately clear how much she loves being a doula. Even though Jossy was only helping us with postpartum care, she was so sweet in sending regular check-ins leading up to my due date and giving tips and suggestions for issues I was dealing with. When I first met Jossy in person, I immediately felt completely comfortable around her and felt comfortable having her in our home and with our son. She quickly felt like a friend I could confide in and joke around with, which made all the difference in the first few weeks of postpartum. Jossy was so loving and sweet with our son, and it was so clear that she cared very deeply about his safety, wellbeing and happiness. After our overnights, she was always checking in to see how she was doing and offering ideas and suggestions of things to try with him. No matter how tired she was after back-to-back overnights, Jossy always arrived on time and with a smile. She was also so sweet with our high energy dog. Leeann joined our family as a Newborn Care Specialist right when our daughter came home from the hospital and quickly became part of our family. I had originally booked her for 6 weeks, mostly nights only, but she was so incredible that I extended her care to 24 hours, 6 days a week for a full 12 weeks. What I loved most about Leeann is the way she cared for our daughter. She treated her like she was her own and was so warm and loving from day 1. As weeks went on, it was amazing to see how engaging she was, taking her on walks, reading to her daily, recommending we get certain toys to help with our baby's development. I would keep Leeann forever if I could. While we're sad to see her go (we're transitioning to a nanny once we go back to work), we would love to help her find an amazing family.
