I had such an amazing experience with Tamanno as my Doula. I was about 35 weeks and nearing the end of my pregnancy after a big move across states. I was overwhelmed trying to find a doula last minute , in a new state. I found Tamy through my insurance and we both Immediately found out that we were the right fit . I spoke about my birth story and what I was trying for. Tamy let me know her experience and how she would support me . She visited me in my home to meet and she made a very detailed birth plan for me. She also showed me the tools she uses to help with laboring. Such as : a labor comb, a ball and essential oils. She even purchased a eucalyptus oil for me, per my request. She went above and beyond before my labor and I felt supported and prepared before birth. Once labor started Tamy came to the hospital so fast. She made sure I was comfortable and all my needs were met and that the nurses and doctors were on the same page as me . She was there for every contraction holding my hand and fanning me. She massaged me and helped me labor in the tub, and helped me labor on the ball. I had a foley bulb for a few hours and even through the pain she took her time to talk to me and helped me not focus on the pain but the end goal. I felt so supported , heard and prepared with Tamanno as my Doula. She was so caring , understanding and nurturing . I labored for close to 36 hours and she was there for me every minute . Her communication is superb and she even helped my family who helped me and came to visit. I would recommend her a million times over . She will listen to your needs and make sure you get everything you ask for as long as its safe. She looks out for you and will speak up if she wants to suggest or recommend anything that will help you. You will not regret her services. I had a great birth experience because of Tamy. I hope she can be my doula for future pregnancies as well!

Hi everyone! I'm Angel, a wife, mom of four, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), trained full-spectrum doula, and maternal-child health educator. I'm passionate about walking alongside families as they navigate pregnancy, postpartum, infant feeding, and the transition into parenthood. I provide compassionate, evidence-based care that supports not only your baby's needs, but yours as well. My goal is to create a warm, judgment-free space where you feel heard, supported, and confident in the decisions you make for your family. As a mom of four, I know firsthand that pregnancy, feeding, recovery, and life with a new baby can be beautiful but it can also be exhausting, emotional, confusing, and sometimes incredibly lonely. So often, parents are surrounded by advice while still feeling like no one is truly caring for them. That's why I'm so passionate about this work. Whether I'm helping with feeding challenges, caring for your baby while you shower or rest, answering newborn questions, or simply offering reassurance during a difficult day, my hope is that every family I work with feels a little more cared for, a little more confident, and a lot less alone.

My husband did a fantastic job, but nothing beats the specialty and care of another woman who knows the business and who can encourage you on, in whichever way works for you. It was a blessing to have Faith as a doula! She helped with so much during my wife and I’s first pregnancy, birth and post partum. She will be our families doula for every pregnancy! As a husband and new dad, I didn’t know the first thing about pregnancy and labor, but having an experienced hand and mind like Faith to help guide my wife and I was amazing. She had the answers to questions I didn’t know the answer to(and frankly didn’t even know to ask). It was very calming having someone so experienced by our side in the new and unknown territory we were treading. She told me to get the DaddyUp app, which was amazing! I recommend any dad, especially first timers, download and use it. It provides so much information about your wife and your baby that you would probably never think of! As for Faith, she regularly met with my wife and I during our pregnancy. Making sure everything was progressing as it should, guiding us to the right supplements, giving us amazing advice and answering every question we had. She even went through a birthing course with us, that without, we probably wouldn’t have made it to the birthing center on time. When labor finally hit and the water broke, I called Faith and proceeded straight into panic mode. Attempting to help my wife as best as I could through her labor and contractions. I can generously say that I did okay for a first time dad in a tizzy, I was timing contractions, incorrectly… giving counter pressure, in the wrong spots… and had completely forgot what went in the birth bag… I was scrambling through all my notes trying to remember what to do. But when Faith showed up to our home she sprung right into action! Timing contractions correctly, counter pressure in the right spots, helping us pack up and have everything we needed, encouraging my wife and guiding her through every contraction, making sure she was okay during the whole ride to the birthing center, when we got to the center, running around and applying cold rags to keep my wife cool during labor, making sure she was hydrated, serving and supporting her through it all. All things I would have failed to do without Faith by our side. Instead, I was able to just hold my wife’s hand, love and encourage her as she brought our first sweet blessing into this world. I am extremely grateful for Faith and all that she did during this process. She will definitely be the doula we call on for all future babies! Thank you Faith🙏🏼

Mia Willis

It is an honor to be here. My name is Mia Willis, a Chicago-based birth worker, educator, and founder of Sorin Motherhouse—a maternal practice devoted to the protection, becoming, and realignment of the mother. Sorin Motherhouse is built on the belief that maternal care is sacred work, not a service industry. My approach to birth and maternal care is relational rather than transactional, grounded in presence, discernment, and sovereignty over saviorism. My work is informed by lived experience, research-backed training, and clinical practice, honoring the mother as the primary site of wisdom and transformation. I hold training in traditional birth work and budding herbalism alongside modernized birth support, with an emphasis on trauma-informed care that is respectful of diverse lived realities. My practice also includes foundational education in nutrition and lactation support during pregnancy and the fourth trimester. I have served over seventy families as a full-spectrum doula, holding space across a wide range of birth experiences with care, steadiness and integrity. Sorin Motherhouse is carefully curated maternal space for those who approach birth as a rite and maternal care as a serious, embodied charge. It centers mothers who enter pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood with the understanding that becoming requires intention, rest, and deep respect. This work is rooted, discerning, and intentionally held—by design. I look forward to connecting with you.

I have raved about Mia for years. I will continue to rave about Mia for the years to come. Absolutely amazing. I was one of her very first mothers and she has helped me welcome two of my little ones earth side. Care is phenomenal. She is patient, she is a leader. And she is a hardworking, my last delivery, she was right there waddling alongside me, helping me bring forth life, while she carried one of her own. I will forever have her as a doula. I love her and I know anyone else that welcomes her care, will as well.

Darnicia Holt

Hey! I’m Darnicia, a full-spectrum doula, birth mindset educator, and reproductive justice advocate. TL;DR From organizing protests and fighting for social justice to shutting down systemic abuse, violence, and oppression in the medicalized perinatal care system. My passion? Teaching incredible birthing people — like you — how to trust your intuition❤️‍🔥 and advocate for your autonomy,🗣️ so you feel ✨empowered to be the authority of all your reproductive experiences✨ — fertility to postpartum (or not being pregnant at all). 👀 A little more info… To me, birthwork is inherently linked to social justice and activism. Birthwork is advocacy, and advocacy follows you through every aspect of your life. Therefore, advocacy isn’t something you learn; it’s who you are. I’ve taken what I’ve learned in my years as a social justice organizer and have applied it to birthwork. Sometimes, the fight for my clients to have the reproductive outcomes they desire mirrors the intensity I’ve seen when organizing for human rights. When necessary, I use the same energy it takes to shut down streets and apply it to protect my clients’ experience. What does this mean for you? I have the heart and the skills to fight for your dream birth or whatever support you need. But no worries, I’ll only fight to whatever extent you need or are comfortable with. ☺️ The foundation of the doula role is about the person you are. I am an advocate. Fun facts: I’m a wife and Mom of two. I’m a HUGE Marvel/MCU fan. I L😍VE Thai Iced Tea and mushroom coffee 🍄☕.

Darnicia helped us with postpartum care for our newborn and we are grateful beyond measure for her support and expertise. She is very kind, calming, and has a high degree of knowledge. She is such a warm person and we felt well cared for alongside our baby. In the matter of a few weeks, we went from frazzled new parents to having a baby who sleeps through the night multiple nights per week. I highly recommend Darnicia for postpartum care for anyone who is looking to establish healthy routines for their baby and wants to feel very supported in the process.

I am Chicago based childbirth educator, doula, and soon-to-be midwife. I am passionate about supporting undisturbed physiologic birth. I believe in healthy-at-any-size. I've been teaching Evidence Based Birth for two years and I recently finished Midwifery school (to be licensed in 2026). I adore working with queer families, trans folks, and families who have used fertility support. My expertise spans home birth, birth centers, and hospital birth. Most people who take my class are at a birth center or hospital. Many want an empowered low-intervention birth, but most also want information about the benefits of epidurals, and when is the best time to get one. I am passionate about you having the birth YOU want, and having agency over your body and birth, no matter what this journey brings. I provide evidence based information, grounded energy, and listening ear.

Carly Ann was our doula for the birth of my second child and she was so incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and her presence was deeply grounding for me. Having her guidance in the hospital room was incredible for my husband and me both, and it just felt like we didn't need to worry about anything with Carly Ann there to remind us of anything or prompt us in important moments! She also came by to support after the baby was born and I appreciated feeling like I could just relax and be cared for by her. Super grateful that we got to work with her and I highly recommend her to anyone interested in working with her!! x

Moniqueca is truly a master of her work. She was our Doula back in 2023 for Baby Rumi is soon gonna be three. Her classes prepared me to know what to expect as well as advocate for myself in the hospital. I remember it so vividly being around 5 cm dilated, doctors rushing in telling me that my daughters heart rate was too high and they might have to do a c-section. I called my Doula Moniqueca and she told me some turn the music on and to twerk my baby out. 3 mins later I felt the catheter pushing out of me and my baby's head coming through the birth canal lol. I told her dad to get the nurses because this baby was coming NOW!!! After 10 mins of pushing my beautiful babygirl was born and she is so smart and kind. I feel that having such a great doula contributed to this. Do yourself a favor and let her assist you with preparing for your bundle of joy.
