Hello, I’m Vashti. When I’m not helping mommas have their babies I’m enjoying mine. My husband and I are born and raised in Los Angeles County. I dream of raising a house full of kids that can grow up together. When I had my two babies, I knew I wanted to attempt the natural route, and natural I went. My baby girl was born at home in 2023, and my baby boy was born at a birth center in 2025. Having experienced birth in such sweet and different ways, I decided how in love with the birth experience I was. I knew many birth story’s that were expressed as bad, and my hearts desire was to become to those mommas a redemptive roadmap back into the birth world, and to new mommas, a roadmap where a bad birth experience wasn’t in their story - So I became a birth doula. My heart in the birth world as a Christian certified Doula is to remind mothers that they were created for such a miraculous work and are so much more capable of birth then they realize. With dietary adjustments, environment enhancements, effective movements, informative advocacy, continual reassurance, and calling on heaven, we can guide you to having the heaven on earth birth you have always dreamed of.

As a husband, I can honestly say having her as our doula was one of the best decisions we made. Watching my wife go through labor, I felt so much peace knowing we had someone so experienced, calm, and deeply passionate by our side. She didn’t just support my wife—she supported me too. She guided us through every moment, showed me how to help manage the pain, and made sure I felt confident and involved the entire time. Her presence brought a sense of calm and reassurance that I don’t think we could’ve had without her. You can truly see how much she loves what she does. It’s not just a job for her—it’s a calling. The care, attention, and heart she put into our experience was beyond anything we expected. I would 100% hire her again and recommend her to any family. She made one of the most important days of our lives feel supported, peaceful, and unforgettable.

Alaina is a Christian and opening shares about her faith and how she brings the Lord into the birth space. Autonomy-Centered Birth, Faith-based Birth & Postpartum Doula for Sovereign, Physiological Birth | Serving LA & OC | Kaiser-Friendly Hi, I’m Teejay Casado — your local doula for LA and Orange Counties. I am happy to also assist doulas beyond this area virtually and will travel if necessary. I started founder of Temple & Terrain Birthworks — a faith-rooted birth and postpartum support and wellness service. I specialize in supporting women who desire physiological, low-intervention birth while preserving autonomy and informed consent in hospital or home settings. My clients are often: • Planning natural or low-intervention hospital births • Desiring delayed cord clamping, Golden Hour, or lotus birth • Seeking evidence-based advocacy within systems like Kaiser • Wanting sovereignty in their birth decisions (e.g. labor to start naturally, push when ready, informed consent for vaccinations) • Craving calm, grounded leadership during labor With a background in anthropology, I honor birth as both an ancient physiological process and a sacred rite of passage. I help mothers prepare not just physically — but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually — so they enter birth informed, steady, and confident. Whether birthing at Kaiser or elsewhere, I guide families in: • Protecting the Golden Hour • Navigating hospital dynamics with clarity • Minimizing unnecessary interventions • Preserving mother-baby bonding • Creating a peaceful postpartum integration My postpartum support is deeply restorative, focused on nervous system regulation, gentle bodywork, whole-food nourishment, and helping mothers feel seen — not just cared for. If you are seeking sovereign birth, calm leadership, and faith-rooted support without pressure — I would love to connect.

TeeJay is an absolute God sent. I met TeeJay through LoveLife Jess. I am a first time single parent who suffer from severe postpartum depression & anxiety after I had my daughter. I didn’t know how to navigate motherhood and didn’t have the strongest or healthiest support system. However, TeeJay has been that support I needed to push through a lot of my fears. I would’ve missed out a lot the first year of my daughter's life if it weren’t for TeeJay’s patience, love, & support.

My calling is birthwork and motherhood, and in this season, I believe my mission is centered on nurturing the mother so she can nourish the fruit. Myself as The Milk Root Doula ™ was born from a deep desire to restore my ancestral lineage and power of Black and Brown breastfeeding, providing a space where nourishment is reclaimed as a radical act of love. I am rooted in the belief that when a mother is firmly planted in support, her entire family can bloom. While my heart is dedicated to closing the gaps in Black maternal health, I welcome all families who value an evidence-based approach to the sacred transition of birth and infant feeding. I am a firm advocate for all birthing people and every infant feeding choice. Whether you are nursing, pumping, or formula feeding, my priority is a healthy baby and a whole, supported mother. I bring a unique "doula heart and clinical mind" to this work, backed by a B.S. in Maternal and Infant Health from Howard University and years of experience as a clinical birth assistant and doula. At The Milk Root, I bridge the gap between academic excellence and the intuitive power of the perinatal period. Whether I am assisting you through the intensity of labor, providing peer lactation support, or guiding your mental and emotional wellness, I am here to ensure your journey is protected. I don’t just offer services; I offer a foundation—helping you grow deep roots so your family can thrive for generations.
