I believe pregnancy & birth are a woman's Right To Passage. Birth s a scared time for mom, dad, and baby. and We will discuss your goals, for your pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and you as a new mother. My job is to support you through this transition into motherhood
I just gave birth to my 1st child in December of 2021, and being nervous about my 1st birth experience I opted to hire Zina as my doula. I am so so glad I did! Pregnancy/birth is such in intense personal experience, but from the start of our zoom calls, I felt comfortable with Zina right away. Via these initial zoom calls Zina helped ease my anxiety pre birth with multiple check ins. I really valued her extensive knowledge and experience with both hospital and home births. She was such an amazing coach throughout the birth. I had to be medically induced so my constractions were fierce. Zina helped coach me through some intense construction pain AND pushing pain and was a calming presence throughout. Post birth Zina has checked in a few times and offered great suggestions on tea to help with breastfeeding, messages that helped reduce swelling in my feet, etc. It's nice to have that touch point and to feel taken care of! She helped make my whole 1st birth experience a positive one.

Hi a Postpartum Doula and have been serving families in Hampton Roads since 2016. I am a homeschooling mama of 4. I found that I loved support mothers postpartum.
Tina was incredibly helpful during my postpartum recovery. I feel as though she was there for me just as much as she was there to help me care for my new baby. I look back on that time and think that all of her help really gave me great tools for success as I became a mom for the first time! My parents had hired Tina to be my postpartum Doula, since they are not physically able to help. After nearly dying on the table during my C-section, there was a lot to process. She was such a great resource and support throughout this time! I will never forget all that she did to help me get going! I still keep in touch with her today almost 6 years later! I Highly recommend Tina to anyone looking for a top notch doula!

Chelsea was wonderful! She was so speedy at answering any questions or concerns I had, and incredibly affirming and validating of all of my decisions. Even though this was my fourth birth, it was my first unmedicated and first home birth! Chelsea was so knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, and truly believed in me! I think she is a wonderful provider and I have recommended several friends to work with Chelsea for their birth.

This was the best birth experience I’ve ever had. Mylah made sure my family and I were prepared with all the tools we needed leading up to birth. She gave me comfort measures that helped me labor at home and have a quick and easy birth. I would have a million more babies just to have Mylah as my doula. I am beyond grateful for her and her knowledge. Even after birth she is still here with her full support ready to show up for anything I need as we transition from 1 to 2 kids. Blessed to call her family now and cannot thank her enough. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Hi there! I'm Rebekah Niesen, and I became a Certified Birth Doula after having 4 kids. I firmly believe that labor support, both emotional and physical, has an incredibly positive effect on labor outcomes, health of mother and baby, even bonding of your new family. My background includes the various fields of a degree in Microbiology and my first job which was to mentor college students, uniting my interests of research with communication and coaching. I have applied this to being a birth doula, educating the family in evidence-based best practice to cultivate advocacy empowerment and how it pertains to each individual situation. When I am not serving others, you can find me walking the dog, reading a good book, accompanying my average singing with my average guitar playing, or playing board games with my husband and kids. I take Tricare insurance and can work with you if your insurance covers family services.

I am dedicated to helping you achieve the empowering transition into motherhood that you deserve! I specialize in supporting unmedicated hospital births and homebirths.
Amanda is such a huge blessing! She is very knowledgable and a comforting, supportive presence during such a vulnerable time. My husband and I were not originally going to hire a doula, but at the last minute (8 months pregnant) we decided we would want the extra support for our home birth as we are both first-time parents. We found Amanda through Facebook recommendations, and she was able to meet with us quickly, answer all of our questions (even bring up points we hadn't thought of yet), and provide us with the resources and knowledge to have a successful home birth. She does offer some prenatal education classes and while we were not able to attend the first session due to how late we found each other, the second session was so worth it - especially the exercises for pain management! The day of labor she was quick to respond to us and even coordinated with our midwife so that I could focus on my labor and my husband could focus on me. She provided excellent guidance and support to my husband so that he was the one comforting and helping me during labor and she was able to step in when needed. She even took care of our dog! We truly could not have asked for a better experience or a better doula than Amanda, and we have both said that we would absolutely work with her again if we are still in the area!

Sabrina was my doula during my labor and delivery. She was there with me when my husband and I checked in at the hospital to the time our baby boy was born. Her support, encouragement, and care helped me through the toughest moments of my birthing experience. If you are looking for a doula in the Newport News/Williamsburg area, I highly recommend Sabrina!

I have been working in the perinatal support field since July 2020 as a breastfeeding peer counselor and then as a birth doula. My own experiences with birth and breastfeeding led me to birth work—I was inspired to support others the way I had been supported. Birth and parenthood has a way of helping us discover strengths we didn't know we had. It is the greatest honor of my life to help my clients find their own strength along their unique journey into parenthood.

I cannot say enough good things about Shonna!! This was my first experience with a doula and I highly recommend it for anyone having a child. From the first interaction during my second trimester, until our last interaction post delivery - she has been nothing short of amazing. Shonna was always calm, supportive, reassuring, and ALWAYS saw the positive side of things. She is an expert in this profession and has made my first time with a doula an unforgettable experience. If I decide to have another one, she will be my first choice. Thank you so much Shonna for everything you did to help with the arrival of our baby!!

I am a Birth Doula that is passionate about working with families to help them achieve the birth experience that they are looking for. I provide emotional, physical and educational support during pregnancy, labor and delivery, as well as during the postpartum period.
Susan is absolutely amazing and I would recommend her to anyone! My husband and I had never considered the idea of having a doula for my pregnancy and birth of our son, but then we attended a class that she helped teach. The benefits of having a doula were explained and we instantly knew that we wanted to have one. Susan was so informative, excited about her work and welcoming - we connected with her right away! We loved how involved she was from the very beginning of us deciding to work with her. She met with us to determine if she would be a good fit - which she was! Once we hired her as our doula, we had multiple lunches to discuss our birth preferences and to answer any and all questions we had. During birth and delivery, she helped us determine when contractions were close enough to head to the hospital, she helped me work through the pain, and made us feel safe and prepared. When it was time for me to push, my son had the cord wrapped around and his stats were dropping. Susan, the doctors and the nurses helped keep me calm throughout that and made sure me and baby were safe! Once our son was born, Susan stayed with us to help with skin to skin and with the initial breastfeeding. We were so worried that I would have a traumatic birth, but with Susan by our side that was absolutely NOT the case. If / when we have another baby, we will 1000% have her by our side again - we LOVE her!

LaTory has been an incredible asset for our family since the day we got home from the hospital with our son Lachlan. She arrived right on time as soon as we got home from the hospital and has been with us every week since. She has a calm yet upbeat and optimistic demeanor, and she always puts my mind at ease. She follows my direction for how I want him to be fed, where and when I want him to sleep, what swaddles to use, etc but she also has very helpful suggestions when I need them as his needs are growing and changing every day. Our older kids love her too, she always has such a nice energy and a smile on her face. She is reliable and punctual, and very responsible. We are so lucky to have her!

Wanda is amazing! I had my daughter in my late 30 thirties and experience many complications. I don't know how I would have made it without Wanda. The care she took in explaining things to, helping me reduce my stress, helping me to prepare for my daughters birth was a blessing. She continued this care well after I had my daughter. Wanda provided, additional breast feeding support and guidance. With Wanda you are with family. She cares about you and takes every steps necessary to endure a successful birth and mom after. What an amazing soul!!

We used Lacey for a few weeks after we had our baby. My wife was exhausted from giving birth and she just needed as much rest as possible at night. Lacey came in for 6 weeks 5 nights a week and took care of our sweet baby girl while we slept. She would change her, pass her to my wife to nurse when baby was hungry and would take her back and get her burped and back to sleep. She was amazing and never woke us up for anything. She even washed babies clothes and restocked supplies for the next day. We couldn’t have gotten through those first few weeks without Lacey . I highly recommend her for night nanny services. We will have her again if we have another. Thank you so much Lacey!
