Hi, I’m Catherine! 🤍 I’m a mom to four boys, a birth doula, and a birth photographer. My passion for birth really began after my first homebirth. It was the first time I truly felt empowered, informed, and connected to my own strength throughout the birth process—and it completely changed the way I saw birth. I owe it all to choosing the right birth team! That experience sparked a desire in me to help other women experience that same sense of confidence and empowerment, no matter where or how they choose to birth. I believe our bodies were created with an incredible ability to give birth, but I also believe we were never meant to do it alone. I’m here to hold your hand, remind you of how strong you are, help you navigate the unknown, and celebrate with you when you finally get to meet your baby. The way I serve my clients is best described as being your “birth bestie” or “birth sister.” I want to truly know you—your hopes, your dreams, your fears, your past experiences, and what makes you feel safe and supported—because the better I know you, the better I can support you. Throughout pregnancy, I offer a listening ear, a calm presence, encouragement, and a safe space to talk through all the “tmi” things on your mind. And when birth arrives, I’ll be right there beside you, offering steady hands, reassurance, comfort, and support for both you and your partner. As a birth photographer, I also have the privilege of preserving the beautiful, raw, emotional moments that can feel like a blur afterward—the hands holding yours, your partner’s face, the anticipation, the tears, and those first moments with your baby. Your birth is a story worth remembering. I would be so honored to walk alongside you and be part of such a sacred chapter in your story. So… if this sounds like the kind of support you’ve been looking for, let’s grab coffee and chat about all the birth-y things! ☕️

Catherine was a fantastic doula and such a wonderful source of support throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. She was always calm, caring, and easy to talk to, and from the very beginning, I felt like I could talk to her like a friend. When I had fears and concerns about labor, she was always responsive, kind, and supportive, helping me to feel heard and reassured. I had underestimated how much support I would need postpartum and how challenging recovery and breastfeeding would be. Catherine brought over meals and snacks and spent time with me as I processed my birth experience. Her kindness and presence made such a difference during a difficult and vulnerable time, and I’m so grateful for her support. I would highly recommend Catherine to anyone looking for a doula!

Words fail to express our gratitude for Tina’s help, confidence and guidance in helping us meet our daughter. It has been such a positive experience working with her and having her be a part of our childbirth journey. From her kind words, comforting touch and calming presence - we could not have imagined this time in our life without her. She was there for my husband and I in so many irreplaceable ways - from replying to all my random texts at all hours to advocating for my concerns and our safety in such a vulnerable chapter. Thank you so much Tina! I’d definitely recommend working with Tina Jackson as your doula.

My husband and I decided to hire a doula a little bit reluctantly, not really knowing what we needed or how beneficial it would be. When I met Vonda, I immediately got this sense that she was caring and compassionate but yet also very competent and confident in her work as a Doula. This gave me so much comfort, and regardless of whether our goal was to deliver at home, a birth center, or hospital, she was willing to support us and our choices and not try to impose opinions on us unless we asked for them (which was huge since opinions can run very strong and extreme on opposite spectrums in the birth world). What I loved most about the idea of hiring her, beyond being able to trust her and know she was for us, was that she would be the consistency in my care from prenatal to delivery to postpartum. This birth was going to be with my second child but I was hoping to have a successful VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) birth, so everything about labor and birth would be a new experience for me. She met with us twice during my 3rd trimester. Those meetings were incredibly informative and brought us so much peace leading up to what was foreign territory to us. She talked with us about our birth plan and let us know what our options were, taught my husband and I physical comfort techniques that could be helpful during labor, and also educated us on the birth process and what would happen to my body and with the baby during the process. Having the ability to contact her anytime after we hired her to get her input and feedback was so helpful. My husband wanted to be as involved and helpful to me as he could but he also didn't know what to expect and I didn't know what I would need, He really appreciated everything Vonda taught us beforehand, but then also having her with us during the birth to help him help me and to be our voice at the hospital since she knew our wishes and could speak for us while my mind was focused on having a baby and my husband was focused on me. Aspects of everything she prepared us for came into play when labor started, and I can't imagine going through labor and birth without having been as prepared as I felt, even when I still didn't know what to expect. Hiring Vonda as our Doula was worth every penny! I would highly recommend her to any mama AND her support person. She was there for me AND my husband, and if we did it again, we'd definitely have Vonda with us!

As a seasoned doula, birth advocate, and mother of nine children — six boys and a set of triplet girls — I bring a rare blend of clinical knowledge, lived experience, and intuitive understanding to every family I serve. My journey through nine pregnancies, each with its own lessons and challenges, has shaped the way I support mothers today. I know the emotional terrain of pregnancy, the physical demands of labor, and the sacred transformation that happens when a new life enters the world. My work is rooted in the belief that every mother deserves informed, compassionate, and culturally grounded care. Over the years, I have supported families across a wide range of birth experiences, always centering their voices, their choices, and their dignity. My approach blends evidence‑based education with the kind of wisdom that only comes from walking the path myself many times over. A core part of my philosophy is the importance of consistent, proactive prenatal care. I have seen firsthand how early support, education, and monitoring can reduce complications and lower the likelihood of medical inductions — especially those involving Pitocin. While Pitocin is a valuable medical tool when truly necessary, I help families understand how nurturing the body throughout pregnancy can support natural hormonal progression and increase the chances of spontaneous labor. My goal is to empower mothers with knowledge, confidence, and the tools they need to advocate for themselves long before labor begins. Through Royal Empress Doula Services, I serve families with a commitment to excellence, cultural sensitivity, and unwavering support. Whether I am guiding a first‑time mother, supporting a family through a high‑risk pregnancy, or helping a parent heal from a previous birth experience, I show up with the same steady presence that carried me through my own births. My mission is simple: to help families feel seen, supported, and strengthened — from the first prenatal visit to the first moments of life and beyond.

Maribell Opperman

A Little About Me 💛 I'm Maribell, a proud mom of two wonderful boys, a wife of 12 years, and a passionate birth professional. I moved from Perú to the United States, beginning a beautiful new chapter in my life. During those early years, I devoted myself to raising my boys, learning English, embracing a new culture, and building a home for my family. Before moving to the United States, I trained and worked as a midwife in Perú, supporting mothers and babies in both hospitals and private practice. My passion for maternal care has remained close to my heart, and here in Central Florida, I have continued that calling as a doula, childbirth educator, and birth assistant at planned home births. Throughout my journey, I have intentionally pursued specialized certifications and training in physiologic birth, optimal fetal positioning, body mechanics, breastfeeding support, and postpartum wellness. I believe learning never ends, and my goal is to continue growing so I can offer families compassionate, knowledgeable, and evidence-informed support. With approximately 15 years of experience in maternal care, including nearly five years supporting families in Central Florida, I've learned that every pregnancy, every birth, and every family's story is beautifully unique. As both a mother and a birth professional, I understand how meaningful it is to feel heard, respected, informed, and genuinely supported during this transformative season of life. Through Chaska Midwifery & Wellness, my heart is to walk alongside you, helping you discover your strength, build confidence, and prepare to welcome your baby with love and trust. I would love to meet you, hear your story, and explore how I can support you and your growing family. ✨ With love, Maribell Opperman Founder | Chaska Midwifery & Wellness Let Your Light Shine in Pregnancy, Birth, and Beyond.

Tamara Niedermann

hi! i’m tamara niedermann, owner and creator of the kindred feminine. i’m a witness and student of birth and birthing people and it’s an honor to be invited into your birth story. i’ve always known i’m at my best when i’m in support of the people around me. that desire for deep relationship is what has guided my journey to birth work, herbalism, and supporting the birthing and bleeding people in my community. when my younger sister and her husband started their parenting journey, she started sharing the things she was learning about pregnancy and labor. as i watched her pregnancy unfold i learned there was another way. it took the books and documentaries i found, and new perspectives i was learning to show me that doulas, and midwives, and placentas, and breastfeeding, and herbal baths are all a beautiful and sacred part of pregnancy and birth. since then, a deep passion has grown from within me to teach others this new way to know our bodies, experience our menstrual cycles, and conceive and birth our babies. the kindred feminine serves all birthing and bleeding people through education; teaching bodily literacy, contraception, or conception through the fertility awareness method, and pregnancy and childbirth education; walking alongside people in their conception journeys, and in their pregnancies and their births; and creating medicine through processing placentas and herbal offerings. i'm a bisexual cis woman of color who uses the pronouns she, hers, and her. i’m a newlywed in my thirties. i'm the daughter of an immigrant single mother. i acknowledge that Black, Indigenous, People of color (BIPOC) have much worse reproductive outcomes than their white counterparts. i'm an advocate for all birthing people no matter their race, sexuality, gender, or size. i'm a birth keeper, and an herbalist. i make placenta and herbal medicine, and hold space for those who i have the privilege of serving. grace and peace and many blessings on you.

Hi, I'm Elli, a certified birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator based in Lake Alfred, Florida. As your doula, my goal is to be a calm, steady presence throughout your journey into parenthood. I listen without judgment, provide clear and evidence-based information, and help you understand your options so you can make decisions that feel right for you and your family. Rather than promoting a particular approach to birth, I believe in supporting your choices and helping you feel informed, confident, and empowered every step of the way. Most importantly, I'll remind you to trust yourself, because no one knows your body, your baby, or your values better than you do. When I'm not supporting families, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband and our rescue dog, Cora, at the gym, baking sourdough bread, or dreaming up home improvement projects that my husband may or may not be excited about.

I don’t think there are words that could possibly come close to describing the level of professionalism, warmth, authenticity and compassion that our family experienced while having Elli as our doula. She was incredibly communicative the entire time, provided her expertise when it came to writing a birth plan, and you can tell her heart is in every aspect in how she supports. We especially appreciated the post partum support sessions, our twin toddlers LOVE Elli, and her baking. Having her come help out with them was such a BIG way to support our family after adding a newborn. We would hire her again in a heart beat. If you are looking for birth support, she is THE ONE!
