Ava and I attend every prenatal visit together, with direct, ongoing access to both of us throughout your pregnancy, so you know and trust us before labor begins. We alternate on-call weeks, so whichever of us is with you at your birth, the other is your backup — meaning the person supporting you already knows your story, your preferences, and your fears, because we built your care plan together from day one. Hey! I’m Saralicia Waugh, a certified birth & postpartum doula practicing in Central MN. I started out as a birth photographer in 2017 and my passion for helping families discover what birthing options are available to them so that they can make informed decisions and have an empowering birth experience led to me diving into doula support in early 2024. I then got certified as a birth and postpartum doula in March of 2025. Although I am focusing on doula support at the moment and not currently offering birth photography sessions, I am happy to use your phone to take pictures and videos of you during labor/birth so you can preserve these precious memories. My name is Marika Brown, and I am a Jesus-loving Christian mom of 7 living children and 4 babies in Heaven. I am a DONA-trained birth doula. My background includes a B.A. in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Evangel University. I have been homeschooling my children for 13 years and recently graduated my oldest child, while my baby is approaching his second birthday. My journey to become a doula had been years in the making, starting with the birth of my own first child and instantly wanting to learn as much as I could about pregnancy and birth.
