Hey! I’m Saralicia Waugh, a certified birth & postpartum doula practicing in Central MN. I started out as a birth photographer in 2017 and my passion for helping families discover what birthing options are available to them so that they can make informed decisions and have an empowering birth experience led to me diving into doula support in early 2024. I then got certified as a birth and postpartum doula in March of 2025. Although I am focusing on doula support at the moment and not currently offering birth photography sessions, I am happy to use your phone to take pictures and videos of you during labor/birth so you can preserve these precious memories. I believe families should have the power to take back control over their birth experience and tune into their innate instincts so they can play an active role in their care for a family-centered, positive outcome. When I'm not at a birth, you can find me making art/designing, spending time in nature with my 3 homeschooling kids, or learning how to make new foods from scratch in my kitchen.

This is a quote that has stuck with me as I explore my career path. Becoming a doula is something I did not follow through with until the murder of George Floyd. Seeing the striking images of pregnant Black mothers protesting around the country ignited the fire in me to finally complete my training to become a certified perinatal educator - meaning I can provide childbirth education, prenatal support, labor and delivery support, lactation support, and newborn care support. But my calling to birth work started on the day I was born with my mother being hospitalized for 2 months postpartum from an avoidable mistake during an emergency c-section. I value empathy, collaboration, and being open minded. As a doula, I am intentional about serving my clients in a way that supports self-empowerment, so they feel they have all the information they feel they need to make the best decision for them and their baby/babies. I do not shy away from vulnerability, and I believe this allows me to have relationships with my clients built on trust.

Hi there! I’m Megan (she/her). I’m so glad you’re considering doula support for your or your partner’s upcoming birth. I believe all parents deserve judgement-free, evidence-based support during their labor, birth and postpartum. My journey to fully birth obsessed began during my first pregnancy. I needed to know all the things and hear all the stories. I quickly learned that many birthing people, especially those in marginalized communities, do not receive the care they deserve during their journey to and through parenthood. This is when I discovered doulas and the support they provide. So I hired my doula, had two supported and empowering in-hospital birth experiences and went on my way as a mom of two, working a typical 9-5 in corporate marketing— never quite shaking a new found desire to make a difference in the birth community. Fast forward a few years, endless heart-to-hearts with my family and friends about making a change and I finally enrolled in a doula training. I truly believe this is what I’m meant to do and I’m so glad to have found my way here. My goal as a birth and postpartum doula is to empower birthing people and their partners through judgment-free and evidence-based support. When I’m not doula-ing, I’m usually spending time with my husband, our two daughters and two elder pups.
