Hi y'all! My name is Kaolin (Mi Cha) Cummins, and I am a multi-doula (certified birth doula, postpartum doula, multiracial, multilingual, 2-spirit, multi-momma, etc.) who primarily serves the Kitsap area, traveling up to 40mi. to the surrounding areas to provide care for QTBIPOC families. I am originally from South Carolina, and grew up all around the south, eventually moving to Kitsap due to the military. I've been here a while, but I'll always call the Carolinas my home. I am passionate about all things related to the cycle of life, from women's health to preconception, conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, life changes, and beyond. I've always had the calling to help others, and have been in caregiving(focused work with children with special needs and the elderly/disabled)/medical-related fields prior to becoming a doula. I realized after my second baby that my calling in life is to be a source of education, positivity, and support for new (and pro) parents through these changes, as one can never have or give too much support. I noticed the lack of QTBIPOC doulas in my area and realized that the lack of representation and access to providers that looked and lived like me was common everywhere, and that just won't do! Outside of being a doula, I am focused on pursuing a career as a CNM (Nurse Midwife) and am determined to mesh the Indigenous & Asian cultural practices I grew up with and the scientific and medicinal knowledge I am currently learning. I hope that in bridging both "worlds", we can foster person-focused care that will assist in creating fewer medical interventions in birth, and also provide exceptional care to parents who need medically necessary care but otherwise would not be able to attain it in other circumstances(i.e., low-income/wage disparity, inaccessibility to a provider of color, and LGBTQ+ conscious medical professionals, etc.). I believe access to information is one of the key players in having a successful birth/parental journey. I strive to create a judgment-free practice, to serve as a provider who assists in these beautiful changes in life. My goal is to leave the world better than I found it and to provide parents/caregivers with the informational and emotional support they need to get through life's events. You don't have to do it alone! Outside of doula work/becoming a midwife, I love spending time with my own little family, and doing anything creative/expressionist! I am a bit of an introvert, but you might catch me on the dance floor if the music's good!

Ciarra Collins

Hi! I’m Ciarra, a certified Postpartum Doula and Newborn & Infant Care Specialist serving families throughout the Snohomish County area. I’m passionate about creating a calm, supportive space where new parents can rest, recover, ask questions, and settle into life with their baby without feeling like they have to figure everything out alone. My approach is nurturing, judgment-free, and tailored to each family’s unique needs. Whether I’m providing overnight support so you can get some much-needed sleep, helping with newborn care and feeding routines, or simply being a reassuring presence during those early postpartum days, my goal is to help you feel cared for, confident, and supported as you find your own rhythm as a family. 🤎

Recent review

Ciarra is a very dependable, responsible, and supportive Doula. She provided overnight care for me and my newborn weekly during the first two months postpartum. Ciarra is very communicative, and I could always count on her to reach out ahead of time to confirm which days she would be available. She also impressed me by keeping a log of my baby's activities overnight, including feedings, diapers, etc. Ciarra also went the extra mile by talking care of light household chores like bottle washing and sweeping, while I got caught up on some much needed rest. I cannot express enough just how much Ciarra positively impacted my postpartum period, by providing the support I needed to feel a bit more rested and rejuvenated to return to caring for my baby myself. I would not hesitate to recommend Ciarra to a new parent looking for some extra support!

My name is Aijanae, the visionary founder of Village to Village Doulas, a premier doula agency renowned for its holistic and compassionate approach to childbirth and postpartum care. My journey into the world of maternal support was deeply personal and transformative. My son, my baby boy Jahsiah was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma just as I had booked my calendar for the year, I was faced the immense challenge of balancing my professional and personal life. This experience underscored the importance of having a trusted support system during life's most vulnerable moments. Leveraging my personal journey, I established Village to Village Doulas to provide unparalleled support to local Doulas and parents navigating the complexities of childbirth and early parenthood.

Recent review

I have had such a positive, stress-free postpartum experience, and that is in very large part thanks to Aijanae. I feel so lucky to have found her and her team - from the moment I first talked to her, I knew I would want her to support me and my family. She exudes calm, and she is incredibly knowledgeable, and she is very generous with her time. Aijanae supported me for the first 6 weeks with overnights, and then her team (Jazzy, Wren, and Hailey) joined to support for the following 4 weeks. I thoroughly enjoyed Aijanae's company during the middle of the night feedings and so appreciated all her advice on breastfeeding and newborn care (and appreciated her folding laundry, doing some meal prep, and cleaning pump parts). Aijanae really cares about you as a new mother and goes out of her way with texts, phone calls, and in-person conversations to make sure you feel heard and supported. My experience with Jazzy, Wren, and Hailey was also great. They are all clearly experts in what they do. And the great thing about working with an agency, like Aijanae's agency, is that if you have a longer term contract like I did and someone inevitably gets sick or can't make a shift, there is always someone else who can cover. Our 10 weeks with Aijanae and her team were a big financial commitment, but it was worth every penny. I would wholeheartedly recommend Aijanae and Village to Village to any family who wants a smoother postpartum experience.
