After my daughter was born and I was so just overwhelmed home alone. My Ex Husband was working and I called her to talk and she ending up coming over to just sit with me and just talk to me. It got my mind off of having a toddler and a newborn and she was just there with me I am pretty sure we didn't even speak for a while. The highlight of it was that I know deep down part of her was worried about the postpartum depression, but she didn’t point out, didn’t rub it in my face and tell me like oh somethings wrong with you and I was scared that’s why I’m here with you. No, she just came over just to be with me and made sure I was ok. And just with that I felt that much more less alone. There are so many other ways she has shown up for me in the 10+ years I have known her. I didn’t have to verbatimly ask her to, she just shows up whether it’s in form of words of affirmation whether it’s physically showing up for me she's just you’re there.

Hi, I’m Imani! 🤎 I’m a Full-Spectrum Doula serving families throughout Chicago, Illinois. I provide compassionate, holistic, and evidence-based support throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum, loss, and life’s many transitions. I offer birth, VBAC, cesarean, postpartum, and emotional support tailored to each family’s individual needs. Before becoming a doula, I spent over 12 years in Early Childhood Education, 8 years as a nanny, and also worked as a Registered Behavior Technician. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in child development, newborn care, and supporting families through different stages of life. I completed my Full-Spectrum Doula training through Embrace Partum Health in 2026. My passion for doula work is deeply personal. After experiencing pregnancy loss, an unexpected cesarean, and a successful VBAC, I understand how meaningful it is to have someone who listens, provides reassurance, and truly sees you. My goal is to help families feel informed, respected, confident, and never alone. When I’m not supporting families, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, baking, cooking, writing poetry, and building community. A message to new parents: You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. It would be an honor to walk alongside you, listen to you, support your choices, and help you feel cared for through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond. 🤎

Hi! I am a trauma-informed, healing-centered, and evidence-based fertility, birth, and postpartum doula with over seventeen years of experience providing client-centered, queer and trans affirming care, advocacy, and education in various public health settings. As a Full-Spectrum Birth Worker since 2014, I provide informational, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and physical support during the entire perinatal period. I draw on both evidence-based research and traditional wisdom to support my clients. In addition to labor support, my expertise includes teaching people the Fertility Awareness Method to create and prevent pregnancies, providing education and support for donor insemination (ICI and IUI), helping clients select care providers that align with their values, supporting people struggling with infertility and perinatal loss, providing postpartum care and lactation support, and providing education on newborn and infant care. As a Certified Reiki Practitioner, Intuitive Energy Healer, Yoga Nidra facilitator, and Sexual and Reproductive Health Educator, I bring a holistic lens to my work. I am deeply committed to reproductive justice and birth justice, and I believe in providing clients with all the information they need to make informed choices that are right for them. Doula clients appreciate my extensive knowledge and experience, and my ability to provide comprehensive, holistic, ongoing support, education, and guidance not just during their labor and birth, but throughout the perinatal period. My work is grounded in the belief that healing occurs when the mind, body, and spirit are supported together, especially during life’s most pivotal transitions. I am so relieved and happy that we chose Parul to be our doula. From our first contact, she was extremely responsive, clear, thorough, warm, and supportive in her communication with us. Her knowledge of the birthing process and preparation is unparalleled and i felt so much more confident going into my delivery with her by my side. At the hospital she was an amazing advocate who helped to ensure our birth plan was honored as closely as possible by our doctor. She was also a huge support during the birth when I needed some encouragement to keep pushing. She also spent a lot of time getting to know us personally which helped pass the time in the hospital. Overall I couldn’t recommend Parul more. When we prepare for our next baby I will definitely work with her again!

Hi everyone! I'm Angel, a wife, mom of four, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), trained full-spectrum doula, and maternal-child health educator. I'm passionate about walking alongside families as they navigate pregnancy, postpartum, infant feeding, and the transition into parenthood. I provide compassionate, evidence-based care that supports not only your baby's needs, but yours as well. My goal is to create a warm, judgment-free space where you feel heard, supported, and confident in the decisions you make for your family. As a mom of four, I know firsthand that pregnancy, feeding, recovery, and life with a new baby can be beautiful but it can also be exhausting, emotional, confusing, and sometimes incredibly lonely. So often, parents are surrounded by advice while still feeling like no one is truly caring for them. That's why I'm so passionate about this work. Whether I'm helping with feeding challenges, caring for your baby while you shower or rest, answering newborn questions, or simply offering reassurance during a difficult day, my hope is that every family I work with feels a little more cared for, a little more confident, and a lot less alone.
