Lyssa Zawalski

My name is Lyssa Zawalski, and I am a postpartum doula undergoing certification with DONA. My path towards becoming a postpartum doula was a winding one, with stops along the way as a teacher, social worker, and product manager. While I have found a depth to each of these titles, becoming a postpartum doula has felt like so much more. Quickly after giving birth to my daughter, I realized that I was underprepared and undereducated on what came next. Postpartum was filled with navigating solo parenting, PMADs (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders), and lack of a “village.” Once enough time had passed and I could more objectively look back at my postpartum period, the most glaring observation was that I had desperately needed help. I needed support in understanding how to feed my baby, what infant sleep looked like, how to find ways to take care of myself (which felt impossible at times). Having a postpartum doula would have changed my postpartum experience as well as the early years of parenthood. I cannot imagine a more tender time to support a family. I truly believe the care and support that we receive in our postpartum period determines so much of how we start our parenting journeys. Thank you for being here, and thank you for trusting me with the most precious pieces of your heart.

Lyssa has been an ongoing guide to motherhood, since she had her daughter. Her unfiltered honesty in motherhood was very real, deep and a refreshing view compared to posed family photos. When I had my second baby, I thought it was going to be different, since I knew what to do this time around. In a sense, it was. However, when the lack of sleep crept in, I called upon Lyssa. She knew the anxiety, the deep seated feelings I felt, and had already lived the intrusive thoughts I had. She was present for the hardest parts, and I can NOT thank her enough for seeing me and understanding motherhood, by walking with me on this journey.

Hi! Im Chrystal. Thank you for being here! I’m a DONA-certified Birth and Postpartum doula dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to families throughout their birthing journey. Based in Littleton, I share my home with my husband and our beloved Springer Spaniel, Fisher. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Regis University and previously worked as a nurse aide and a midwife’s assistant, experiences that shaped my deep respect for both clinical care and the natural wisdom of birth. I began working as a doula in 2022, earned my certification in 2023, and have since had the honor of supporting more than 100 families. I have attended births of all varieties including home births, VBACs, cesarean, unmedicated, assisted, and more. Outside of birth work, I love spending time outdoors; identifying plants, hiking, camping, or simply walking with Fisher. I love the warmth from the sun and the sound of birds, they give me life! You’ll often find me enjoying a cup of tea with a good book, exploring creative outlets, or spending an afternoon wandering through Barnes&Noble or World Market. My guilty pleasure is rewatching media I’ve already seen and love, or rereading old books that I can’t forget. I like to think of my role as a consultant, advocate, and fairy godmother all in one. I support you in achieving your dream birth by offering continuous physical and emotional care, helping you maintain informed consent, and empowering your instincts while holding space for this incredible experience. I also work closely with your partner, giving them the confidence and tools to provide meaningful emotional and physical comfort. I value organization, timely communication, and nonjudgmental care. My goal for my clients is a labor that feels peaceful, informed, and joyful. In the labor room, my focus is always on my client’s comfort and their overall goals for birth. I prioritize finding the balance between letting labor unfold naturally and offering suggestions when they can truly make a positive difference. I often joke that just because I know Spinning Babies doesn’t mean I’m going to “flip you like a pancake”—those tools are there when they’re needed, not as a default. To me, your intuition is VIP, and medicine is a powerful tool we can use when it supports your safety and your vision. Past clients have mentioned my calm, reassuring presence and my soothing voice helping to ground them in intense moments. When helping families get acclimated at home in the first few weeks, my focus is on ensuring that my clients get off on the right foot. I prioritize guiding both parents and baby through the new life they are adjusting to, helping build structure and workflows that work for each individual family. My top two favorite parts of attending births are feeling like I have helped, and the look on your face when you realize; “I DID IT!” Thanks again for being here and congratulations!

Upon our first meeting with Chrystal she instantly entered our hearts. You can truly feel her care and compassion for this field. Chrystal was with us before the baby, during the delivery, and has continued to stay in contact. She stayed flexible and attentive during the birthing process. We felt very supported the whole way. We would could not recommend anyone more than Chrystal, and would love for her to be a part of our next birth story!

I found Beth in the last few weeks of the 3rd trimester of my pregnancy with my 3rd daughter, and she changed everything for me! She made me feel safe and supported from the moment we spoke over the phone! She was knowledgeable and professional, but she also made me feel like we were lifelong friends! When it came time for my delivery, Beth was incredible! She helped keep me focused and as calm as possible during contractions and she held the hospital staff accountable to my birth plan wishes. She also created us a beautiful gift after the birth of our little girl, she made us a digital birth story, it was such a touching recount of the entire evening! I would recommend her to anyone having a baby! She is the most amazing doula!

Labor support is powerful. And it’s evidence-based. Hi! My name is Jenny, and I’m a certified birth and postpartum doula serving families throughout the Denver area. Birth can feel overwhelming, exciting, vulnerable, empowering…and sometimes all of those at once. I believe every woman deserves continuous, respectful support during one of the most transformative experiences of her life. Whether you’re planning a home birth, hospital birth, epidural, unmedicated birth, or something in between, my role is to offer calm support, evidence-based information, hands-on comfort, and steady presence throughout your journey. I support your choices without judgment or pressure. Birth isn’t something to fear. It’s personal. Powerful. And deeply human. This is your body, your baby, and your birth. Discovering I was pregnant at the young age of 19 in January of 2023 was a daunting realization, as it wasn't part of my immediate plans. Uncertainty clouded my thoughts, but I knew I needed guidance regardless of the decision my partner and I made. That's when Jenn stepped in. From the onset of my pregnancy journey, Jenn provided unwavering support, extending beyond childbirth. She offered exceptional advice on nutrition, prepared me for the birthing process, and most importantly, empathized with my emotional journey, understanding my desires for both myself and my child. During labor, Jenn remained a constant presence, offering guidance through every step. From walking the hospital corridors to assisting with pain relief methods and ensuring optimal posture through breathing techniques. Her swift response to my hospital admission due to preeclampsia exemplified her dedication. After 11 hours of labor and 14 minutes of pushing, my beautiful daughter entered the world, and any apprehensions about being a young, first-time mother faded in that moment of pure connection. Jenn's reassuring words were a beacon of strength throughout, reminding me of my capabilities even in moments of doubt. Reflecting on my birthing experience, I am filled with gratitude for Jenn's support. I wholeheartedly endorse her as an exceptional doula, and I am grateful for the opportunity to relive that transformative journey in my mind because of her.

I can’t say enough about the support Ali provided during one of the most intense and meaningful experiences of my life. From the moment she was there, I felt like I had someone in my corner who truly understood what I needed before I knew myself. I had a long and challenging labor, but thankfully a smooth and uncomplicated delivery. During those long hours, Ali had an incredible ability to help me breathe, refocus, and come back to myself whenever the pain felt overwhelming. She never made me feel like I needed to be stronger or handle things differently, she simply met me where I was and helped me through it. Her calm presence made me feel supported, safe, and capable when I needed it most. I’m so grateful Ali was there with me, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula.
