Since high school, I thought about becoming a midwife, however my life did not go in that direction. I met my husband, Dennis, in 2011. He was in the military, and we moved around often. After having kids of my own in 2020, I knew I wanted to be a birth worker. I, personally, had a hard time adjusting to becoming a mom and I would love to support anyone going through this journey. I did not have a doula for either of my births, but I could have used one. My first birth experience was fast and I thought I knew what to expect, I did not! It was a shock, and I needed someone who knew what was happening and what was a normal part of labor. I needed someone to tell me to relax and exhale. My second birth was also fast, but my breathing was under control and it made the biggest difference. I will be there with you through it all and we’ll exhale, together.

I served in the Army as a medic and worked as a civilian ski patroller for many years before starting my own family. I have a long-standing love for fitness, travel and the outdoors. Aside from a passion for helping families in their birth and postpartum journeys, I strive to make a difference in my community. I am the proud wife of a soldier, and I am a mother. I have a little boy, twin girls and a pup. My pregnancy and births led me to be passionate about closing the gap in modern healthcare and putting the power of birth back into the hands of parents. Three decades ago I had my first baby via cesarean and my next three babies were born naturally at home attended by midwives, which was a decision that changed the course of my life. I am passionate about all things natural health and believe the body has the ability to perform beyond what our minds can comprehend. This includes physiological birth. The body knows what to do. Does that mean every birth goes accordingly? Not always. But I have found the biggest obstacle is not the body, but the mind, so when prepared with education, tools, support and informed decision making, the chances of obtaining your desired birth are greater.
