When you are navigating the postpartum season you deserve support from someone who genuinely understands what you are moving through. Not just professionally, but personally. My name is Bianca. I am a trained postpartum doula, herbalist, and mother based in Westchester County, NY. I came to doula work in response to the Black maternal health crisis because I believed mothers deserved more than they were typically being given. And when I became a mother myself in 2020 I understood that truth in a way no amount of training could have fully prepared me for. Our journey begins with a real conversation, not a checklist. Together we build a care plan shaped around your life, whether you need a few hours or ongoing support through the early weeks. When I show up, I am fully there, no rushing, no clock watching, just presence for the day you are actually having. As your confidence grows, I step back gently, always in your corner for as long as you need. If any of this resonated with you, I would love to connect and learn more about how I can support you during this tender season.

Destiny Torres

Hi! I’m Destiny, a birth doula who believes every mom and family deserves to feel supported, heard, and empowered throughout their birth journey. Before becoming a doula, I spent over two years working in Labor & Delivery as a phlebotomist, where I witnessed the strength of birthing families and discovered my passion for birth work. I support clients through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period, whether they’re planning a home birth or a hospital birth. My approach is holistic, compassionate, and centered around your unique goals. Outside of birth work, I love hiking, baking banana bread, and spending time in nature. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you welcome your little one into the world.

Throughout my entire pregnancy, I was super nervous and anxious because the thought of actually giving birth and delivering a child terrified me. A doula never really occurred to me as I never really knew what they were, until one of my coworkers who knew I was 5 months pregnant at the time brought up how she knew of a Doula. Destiny really explained to me what they do and the kinds of services a doula can provide, and it really interested me given through what I was going through during the time, . Working with her turned out to be one of the best decisions I made for me and my baby. From the very first meeting to our last, Destiny has been a pleasure to have as my doula and has made this process a lot lighter for me. She is a great person to talk to and ask any question to becuase she makes you feel comfortable and easy to talk to about any birth and post labor concerns. She provided a home cooked meal post labor and it was absolutely delicious ! But most importantly, she made every effort to ensure a safe space , and a memorable labor. when it was that time and I truly don't think it would've went the way it did had she not been my doula. Even after my son was born, she continued to check in on me, trying to just make sure I was adjusting well emotionally just as much as physically and that's how I know that she's someone who truly cares and has a love and passion to what she does. That meant so much to me because most people only focus on the baby and just forget about the mother lol, but she never forgot to remind me that the mom was just as important. More people would benefit from the services of a doula, especially her. If you're looking for someone who will treat you like family, I couldn't recommend her more. She is exactly the kind of person you want besides you during such a life changing experience.

Ruama Corbo

As a CACHE-Certified Newborn Care Specialist, Certified Postpartum Doula, and Sleep Consultant with over 10 years of childcare experience, I provide knowledgeable, compassionate support to families as they navigate the newborn and postpartum period. My experience with children began in 2015 through volunteer work in Brazil, where I cared for children in orphanages, pediatric cancer hospitals, and low-income daycare centers. After moving to the United States in 2016, I built my professional career primarily around newborn and infant care. In 2022, I completed my Newborn Care Specialist training and have continued to expand my education in newborn care, postpartum support, and infant sleep. Over the years, I have supported families with overnight newborn care, feeding, age-appropriate routines, healthy sleep foundations, and the transition home with a new baby. My experience also includes caring for premature newborns and twins. I understand how vulnerable and overwhelming the early weeks with a newborn can feel, especially while parents are recovering and adjusting to an entirely new rhythm at home. My role is to bring a calm, capable presence into that space. Whether I am caring for a baby overnight so parents can get much-needed rest, helping establish a sustainable routine, or simply providing reassurance and guidance, I tailor my support to the needs of each individual family. I believe excellent newborn care is never one-size-fits-all. I take the time to understand each family’s preferences, parenting philosophy, and goals while providing thoughtful, evidence-based guidance and attentive care for their baby. Families can expect me to be dependable, discreet, organized, and genuinely invested in making the postpartum experience feel more manageable and supported. I am also certified in Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid and remain committed to continuing education and staying current with best practices in newborn and postpartum care. Above all, I want parents to feel confident that while their baby is in my care, they can rest knowing their little one is being cared for with patience, attention, and experience.

This mother of 3 has experienced a lot and I'm here to support you as a birth doula. DONA Certified for Birth and Postpartum support, Certified Lactation Consulting, Certified Childbirth Educator, Reiki certified, Body Ready Method and Spinning Babies Trained for labor prep and comfort measures. As long as I have walked the earth, I have been perceived as a creative to the core, a visual artist, and a classical musician. My BFA in Fashion and Textile Design from FIT helped commit that identity but I was always attracted to helping people and understanding how the body works. A few years later, that curiosity challenged me to enroll in a course that was the complete opposite of what I had always been. I survived, flourished, and was 1 of 7 people to graduate from an intense 40 week program when I became a Certified Surgical Technologist. My graduation coincided with becoming pregnant 3 months later, and 9 months after that I graciously took on my next job, being a mommy! Along the way, I worked on my art, let my CST lapse, picked up my bass to occasionally play in orchestras, and had 2 more babies. My family was my focus but as children got older, I found more flexibility to explore the other facets of myself. I have had the luxury to develop my own body of fine art, play in an international orchestra, and discover the incredible gift of being a doula! My background as an artist and musician has taught me how to improvise and individualize every situation based on essential evidence-based ideals. My focus is to give each family a positive, special birth experience. I utilize professional resources, analogies, images, stories, and humor into our time together. My first support opportunities were with three very gracious young ladies at the Malta House. It was through their need for education that I learned how to teach about childbirth, their right to a beautiful birth experience taught me commitment, and their desire for unwavering companionship taught me how to support. I have since earned additional certifications in lactation consulting, childbirth education, and body preparedness for labor in order to better support women in the perinatal space. I am proud to support women in a variety of environments to help advocate for their desired birth!

My best friend asked me to be "her doula" 19 years ago. I flew to LA and planned to be there for 10 days in hopes the baby would come in that window of time. I sang and whispered into her belly and Introduced myself to her baby. We had quite a time during the labor as her midwives guided her through the experience. She was incredible! She chose a home birth which ended at the hospital. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Witnessing the birth was transcendent and inspiring! When I flew back to NYC, I vowed that when our youngest daughter was in college, I would become a Doula. I grew up in Minnesota. I graduated with a BFA from the acting program at the University of North Carolina School of the Performing Arts. I have a background in dance, singing, yoga and martial arts. I was an American Council of Exercise certified personal trainer for 12 years. When I became pregnant, becoming a certified prenatal trainer was ideal. I especially loved working with all my pregnant clients. Having an online health and wellness business with Arbonne International has been another passion of mine. Over the years, I have coached a team on how to build their own online businesses and shared this opportunity in a public speaking setting for large groups. I teach my clients the benefits of aligning with a vegan brand they can trust and the value of choosing a B corporation, and living a more green lifestyle. I am a certified Birth Doula and Postpartum Doula with the International Doula Institute. I am also certified as a Perinatal Nutrition Educator, Birth Educator and Lactation Counselor. I hold a certification in Diversity Equity and Inclusion. I am also first aid, AED/CPR certified for pediatric and adults through the Red cross. Being present, and relying on my emotional intelligence, knowledge and discernment, helps me to navigate how to best listen and anticipate a person's needs. I embody joyful humor as my way to serve others. I bring warm energy, passion and authenticity to the people I spend time with. I'm a lifelong student who loves to learn, grow and collaborate. I believe these qualities, as a birth team member, contribute to the overall outcome and experience of all involved. I live in Harlem with my husband. We have two daughters. Hobbies: singing in choir, biking, and lifting weights. I also enjoy baking, reading and traveling. I love conversations over dinner with my husband and friends, and going to the theater and jazz clubs. Walking in nature each day is key to living in my joy, and of course, fitting as many plants and flowers into our home as humanly possible!

Throughout my pregnancy, I always knew I wanted to hire a doula for birth support, and finding Julia felt like a sign from the universe. From our prenatal sessions and newborn care education to the moments after our son Theo was born, she brought such a calming, reassuring presence to our lives. When we learned that Theo was breech and that I would need a C-section, Julia was an incredible source of support. She helped me process the change in plans, navigate my emotions, and feel confident and empowered going into a birth experience that looked different than I had originally imagined. Julia met us exactly where we were and was both an incredible teacher and source of support. She offered practical guidance, emotional reassurance, and confidence when we needed it most, always making us feel seen, supported, and capable. She shared her expertise while helping us trust our own instincts as new parents. We are so grateful for Julia’s care, warmth, and knowledge during one of the most important chapters of our lives. We recommend her to any growing family. S.B. Brooklyn Mom

You shouldn’t have to go into birth or postpartum feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or alone. I’m a DONA-certified birth doula, and my role is to help you feel supported and steady as labor unfolds. I focus on helping you understand what’s happening in real time. Through pelvic dynamics, positioning, and movement, I guide you through labor in a way that supports progress while helping you stay grounded in the moment. We prepare ahead of time so you feel more familiar with how birth settings work and what to expect as decisions come up, instead of trying to figure it out on the spot. For clients continuing into postpartum, I offer hands-on support with recovery, feeding, and overnight care so the transition feels more manageable. Based in Rockland County, NY, I support clients across Northern NJ and the Hudson Valley. I’m also listed in the Carrot directory for reimbursement.

My name is Arlene Maynard and I draw upon 28 years of experience supporting families during the early days of parenthood as both a Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula. One of the most valuable lessons I have learnt is the importance of individualized support. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse array of families, including 74 sets of twins, 4 sets of triplets, and 1 set of quads. Each family's dynamics presented unique challenges, and I have come to appreciate that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to care. By actively listening and tailoring my support to meet their specific needs, I have been able to foster a nurturing environment that empowers parents and promotes the well-being of their newborns. My commitment to professional growth has led me to become a Pediatric Sleep Consultant, a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, a Certified Postpartum Doula, a Cache certified Newborn Care Specialist, an Advanced NCS through the NCSA, a Certified Perinatal Behavior Coach, and I am trained in the RIE method as well the Direct Connect Nurture method. My CPR certification further demonstrates my dedication to ensuring a safe atmosphere for newborns. These experiences have enriched my ability to provide comprehensive care that meets both the physical and emotional needs of families. I find great fulfillment in witnessing families gain confidence in their parenting skills and strive to create a supportive environment where they can share concerns and celebrate milestones. Throughout my years as a Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula, it has reinforced my belief in the transformative power of compassion, education, and community support. I am enthusiastic about gaining an opportunity to provide exceptional care for families as they navigate this rewarding yet challenging journey of welcoming a new life.

I had the privilege of working with Arlene as our Newborn Care Specialist following the birth of our second daughter, and she supported our family for twelve weeks in 2026. From the very beginning, Arlene provided an exceptional level of care, professionalism, and reassurance during a critical postpartum period. Her overnight support allowed my husband and me to get much-needed rest, knowing our daughter was in the hands of an experienced and compassionate professional. In addition to providing outstanding newborn care, Arlene consistently went above and beyond by washing bottles and pump parts, assisting with infant bathing, and helping maintain a calm and organized environment during those early weeks. With more than 27 years of experience, Arlene brings an extraordinary depth of knowledge to her work. Although I was already a second-time mother, I learned a tremendous amount from her. She was always patient, thoughtful, and generous with her expertise, answering countless questions and helping us navigate challenges with confidence. Whether troubleshooting early breastfeeding and latch concerns, sharing evidence-based resources, suggesting schedules and routines, or recommending products that better met our needs, her guidance was invaluable. What sets Arlene apart is her ability to provide expert recommendations without ever imposing her personal philosophy. She respects each family's unique parenting style and empowers parents to make informed decisions that feel right for them. Her approach is gentle, supportive, and highly effective. Beyond her professional qualifications, Arlene is a genuinely warm and caring person. The tenderness, respect, and affection she showed our daughter were truly remarkable. She quickly became a trusted member of our household, and her presence brought comfort and confidence during a time of significant transition. Without reservation, I wholeheartedly recommend Arlene Maynard to any family seeking a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and exceptionally skilled Newborn Care Specialist. She has been one of the best investments we made during our postpartum journey, and I am deeply grateful for the care and support she provided to our family.

Mia became a part of our family shortly after the birth of our second child. Having hired an overnight doula for our first, we knew this time around, with two little ones under two, we’d need even more support. From the moment Mia arrived, she was extraordinary. She intuitively understood the rhythm of our home and our unique challenges. I trusted her completely with my newborn, which allowed me to give my toddler the attention she needed. Mia provided unwavering emotional support and was remarkably proactive, anticipating our needs before we could voice them. She brought calm and clarity during a time when I often felt overwhelmed, almost like the part of my brain that wasn’t functioning in the haze of postpartum. Whether it was preparing nourishing snacks, offering thoughtful breastfeeding support, or simply being a grounding presence, Mia was indispensable. Her presence during those intense early weeks was nothing short of a gift. I could not recommend Mia more highly. - Aisling S.
