I am a trauma-informed, healing-centered, and evidence-based fertility, birth, and postpartum doula with over seventeen years of experience providing client-centered, queer and trans affirming care, advocacy, and education in various public health settings. As a Full-Spectrum Birth Worker since 2014, I provide informational, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and physical support during the entire perinatal period. I draw on both evidence-based research and traditional wisdom to support my clients. In addition to labor support, my expertise includes teaching people the Fertility Awareness Method to create and prevent pregnancies, providing education and support for donor insemination (ICI and IUI), helping clients select care providers that align with their values, supporting people struggling with infertility and perinatal loss, providing postpartum care and lactation support, and providing education on newborn and infant care. As a Certified Reiki Practitioner, Intuitive Energy Healer, Yoga Nidra facilitator, and Sexual and Reproductive Health Educator, I bring a holistic lens to my work. I am deeply committed to reproductive justice and birth justice, and I believe in providing clients with all the information they need to make informed choices that are right for them. Doula clients appreciate my extensive knowledge and experience, and my ability to provide comprehensive, holistic, ongoing support, education, and guidance not just during their labor and birth, but throughout the perinatal period. I'm writing this 14 months removed from having Jenny as my doula. I think about the trauma of my birth experience often which means thinking about Jenny often. Her strong advocacy of my needs, her unwavering support, and her creative techniques got me through the most scary yet most beautiful experience of my life. She is an incredible mother herself and supports other mothers with sage wisdom and tenderness. She will tell a nurse to back off if they overstep when she sees you are too vulnerable. She will talk you through making difficult choices with a measured firm love that only very special people can execute. I look at my son and know that we are both still here because of 3 things; 1. Several fiercely dedicated nurses 2. Whatever divinity exists that was looking out for my son and I 3. Jenny. The love for my son goes hand in hand with my love and appreciation for Jenny.

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a doula, birth photographer, and placenta encapsulation specialist proudly serving the Chicagoland area. I grew up in small town Kentucky and moved to Chicago five years ago. Since then, I’ve been deeply rooted in the birth world, supporting families through every stage of their journey. I’m a full spectrum certified doula through Sokana’s Full Spectrum Birth Justice Training, with extensive education in lactation and over four years of personal breastfeeding experience. I’m also certified in First Aid and CPR. I accept Carrot clients and will soon be accepting Medicaid, because I believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, personalized support. That’s also why I offer sliding scale payment options for those in need. I’m also able to bill insurances with a superbill using my NPI number. My approach blends evidence based care with a holistic touch, holding space for whatever birth looks like for you. Outside of birth work, I’m chasing around my two toddlers, trying new recipes, camping, fishing, and checking out new restaurants! I never say no to a good steakhouse. Let’s schedule a consult and see if I am a great fit for your birth team!

Having Rachel on my birth team was the best decision I could have made. She was a rock for me throughout, and was such a source of peace and calm for me. Rachel valued my preferences for my birth plan without judgment and held true to advocating for me at all times. My birth story had many unexpected turns, and Rachel stayed by my side, along with my husband, for the wild ride. I had Rachel with me in the birth center and at the hospital after a transfer was needed. She never missed a beat and took care of me so thoughtfully. From the first interview to prenatal appointments to the actual birth of my first baby, Rachel kept looking out for me and helped me feel empowered throughout my birth journey. She even took pictures and helped transport my placenta for encapsulation, which was so helpful because we remained at the hospital for longer than expected. I felt like Rachel was one of the best parts of my birth story, and I know she would be a wonderful addition to any birth team!

Hi, I’m Imani! 🤎 I’m a Full-Spectrum Doula serving families throughout Chicago, Illinois. I provide compassionate, holistic, and evidence-based support throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum, loss, and life’s many transitions. I offer birth, VBAC, cesarean, postpartum, and emotional support tailored to each family’s individual needs. Before becoming a doula, I spent over 12 years in Early Childhood Education, 8 years as a nanny, and also worked as a Registered Behavior Technician. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in child development, newborn care, and supporting families through different stages of life. I completed my Full-Spectrum Doula training through Embrace Partum Health in 2026. My passion for doula work is deeply personal. After experiencing pregnancy loss, an unexpected cesarean, and a successful VBAC, I understand how meaningful it is to have someone who listens, provides reassurance, and truly sees you. My goal is to help families feel informed, respected, confident, and never alone. When I’m not supporting families, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, baking, cooking, writing poetry, and building community. A message to new parents: You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. It would be an honor to walk alongside you, listen to you, support your choices, and help you feel cared for through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond. 🤎

I cannot recommend Rebekkah enough. She was my doula for my 2019 baby, and I knew that I had to rehire her for my second birth. My goal with my second was to have an unmedicated birth and knowing that is something Rebekkah specializes in helped give me the confidence that I could do it. When my labor started, she was readily available to answer any questions and confirm when it was time to head to the hospital. She had techniques to help ease the pain such as the use of her TENS unit (which helped tremendously) and using counter pressure. She coached me and encouraged me the entire time, even when I was completely ready to give up, which I completely believe helped me achieve my unmedicated birth goal. After going through PPA/PPD with my first, I knew that I wanted to have my placenta encapsulated, which Rebekkah was able to do and made the entire process seamless. She worked with the hospital to make sure that my placenta was stored and ready to take home, and once she finished encapsulating it, she delivered it to my home (along with a keepsake from the cord). I truly believe that it made a huge difference in my recovery. Rebekkah was an asset to my family during my pregnancy, delivery, and post partum. She is a wealth of knowledge and truly helped me reach my goals and deliver a healthy and happy baby exactly how I wanted to.

Libby Deutsch

Maple Park, Illinois 6 years of experience

Libby Deutsch

Libby Deutsch is the co-owner of Holistic Family Doulas, a certified birth and postpartum doula and private childbirth educator. Libby is known for her grounded, steady presence and her ability to fully surrender to the person giving birth. Her care is deeply mother-led, rooted in listening, attunement and meeting each client exactly where they are. She is steady without being passive and encouraging without overpowering the moment. A core part of Libby’s work is empowering mothers through education—helping them understand what is happening in their body and brain during labor so they can trust the process and feel more confident in their decisions. Mothers often share that they feel calmer, more grounded and more trusting of themselves after time together. Her foundation in physiologic birth is informed by both training and lived experience, including birthing her own children at home. She supports all types of birth with equal respect and works seamlessly across home, birth center and hospital settings. She is especially skilled at supporting mothers navigating complex emotions, previous trauma or a desire to reclaim and rewrite their birth experience—gently reminding them of their inherent strength. Libby’s postpartum care is intentional and nurturing, centered on restoration, nourishment and emotional steadiness. Drawing from global postpartum traditions, including Malay bellybinding (trained by The Birth Matron), vaginal steaming and Ayurvedic principles, she offers slow, thoughtful care that prioritizes the mother’s recovery. Through her training in yoga and Reiki, she brings a calming presence that supports mothers as they reconnect with their bodies and trust themselves in this new season. Libby’s role is not to lead your experience, but to walk beside you—offering steadiness, encouragement and trust as you move through birth and into motherhood, reminding you of your strength every step of the way.

Molly went above and beyond my expectations helping my family prepare and welcome our new baby. She created a safe space for me in such a vulnerable, stressful, and uncertain time of my life. Molly is reliable, trustworthy, exceptionally smart, and very in tune with her surroundings. She has a kind and comforting energy around her that requires little, if any, need for adjustment. I felt validated, listened to, and understood. Molly helped me feel capable of myself, loved and cared for, and answered to my needs without having to ask. I would not be in the same place that I am without Molly as our doula. I highly recommend her services and couldn't ask for a better person to guide me and my family.
