Our team of doulas serves Southwest Michigan and collectively equips clients with evidence-based information. We advocate for the birthing mother to make informed decisions through the use of varied practices to aid in trusting her body and ultimately reducing her fears. We envision changing the negative narrative of birth in a distinctly different way: combining the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of maternity support.

My name is Claire and I am starting my doula journey. I feel that I have been called to support women during pregnancy and postpartum. I'm outgoing, supportive of your choices as a mother, and a great listener. I am skilled at de-escalating situations in which you may feel panicked or afraid, and explain things in simple terms so that they aren't overwhelming. I will advocate for you in whatever situation you need, whether with a high-pressure medical provider or your nosy mother-in-law. I have worked with children 5 to 18 years old who have mental, physical, and emotional handicaps as well as a multitude of students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder. Working with these students has brought me so much joy and understanding of a world that can be very hard to explain to those with no experience in it. Whether it is you, your children, or loved ones who identify with the previous disorders, I would be beyond honored and ecstatic to help work through the crazy mystery and miracle of birth. I am currently going through the certification process to be a doula and need to attend three births to be fully certified. I am looking to help anyone I can in this process.

Claire was my doula throughout my entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She went with me to doctors visits and spoke up for my needs when I didn’t feel like I could advocate for myself. She was constantly researching ways to solve each unique problem I would have, such as ways to help my hyperemesis graviderum, finding unique foods that would stay down, or baby products that would accommodate specific needs that I or my neurodivergent husband had. She also taught my husband how to care for me when he felt incapable of helping me. During my natural homebirth Claire helped me stay calm and in a positive headspace while making sure my birth plan was followed. I was able to breathe baby out without any interventions and I credit so much of that to Claire’s support. Postpartum she helped me to the bathroom, helped me change my diapers, and even bathed me and washed my hair when I felt incapable of taking care of myself due to a painful tear from the birth. She came when I hadn’t slept in 48 hours post birth and took care of my newborn so I could sleep. Any time I called Claire she would just let me talk, release any anxieties I was having, and then help me come up with a practical plan to solve my problem. She is a fantastic listener and she was never condescending or made me feel silly for any of my anxieties or little problems. I truly could not have gotten through any of the pregnancy stages without Claire’s support and would highly recommend her to everyone, especially if you are neurodivergent and need someone who will stand up for you in any situation. Thank you, Claire!

Hi, I’m Jamara — a proud mom of two and a passionate doula who believes every woman deserves to be supported, seen, and empowered during her journey into motherhood. Becoming a mother myself opened my eyes to the emotional, physical, and spiritual strength that birth requires — and the importance of having someone present solely for you. That experience grounded my purpose: to advocate, care, and stand beside women during one of the most sacred transitions of their lives. To me, this is more than a service — it’s heart-filled, purpose-driven work. I strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where mothers feel heard, respected, and supported every step of the way. Whether it’s offering comfort, guidance, or simply being a steady presence, I am here to advocate for your voice and your birth experience. Your birth. Your story. Your strength. I’m honored to walk this journey with you

Jamara was truly amazing! I mean she was patient, attentive, knowledgeable, kind, etc. I will say there was a never a time I didn’t feel heard as she made sure this was about me and my baby. The times in the hospital if she couldn’t get to me, she called or texted my Mom. You can tell she loves what she does and that is so important these days. I believe her passion will take her so far and I am grateful for her

Hi, I’m Jaynie! I am a CACHE-Certified Newborn Care Specialist, Postpartum Doula, and New Parent Educator who has a passion for supporting newborns and their families for the first 12-16 weeks of life. I offer the families I work with unique expertise in newborn care, emotional and physical birth parent support, and parental education and family support. My job is to nurture and care for the newborn, the birth parent, and the entire family. As your Newborn Care Specialist, I’ll establish safe and comforting sleep practices, help you develop an easy-to-maintain daily and nightly schedule and routine, and create a system to track feedings, diaper changes, and sleep. I’ll also educate you on any aspects of newborn care you don’t feel confident in, especially for preemies, multiples, and/or medically fragile newborns. Most importantly, I will be there for overnights, responding to your baby’s needs while you get a full night of SLEEP!

Recent review

Jaynie is skilled newborn provider who provides just as much love and support for new parents as she does for newborns! Having her support overnight is a game changer--everyone sleeps better and we never have to worry that our newborn is getting every single need met (and plenty of snuggles!) while she's here. Her ongoing education about caring for our newborn also makes us feel empowered to be the best parents possible. She truly is a life-saver!

Mom of 5, currently enrolled in International Doula Institute, certifying in birth, postpartum, lactation counseling and childbirth education. I am honored to be able to help people through this wonderful, chaotic and unpredictable transition in their life!

I cannot recommend Karly Simpson enough! From the beginning of my pregnancy, she was a steady source of knowledge, comfort, and encouragement. She took the time to really understand my needs, my fears, and my hopes for birth. During pregnancy, her physical support was invaluable whether it was showing me positions to ease discomfort, helping me prepare my body for labor, or simply being there to check in and make sure I was taking care of myself. She offered practical tools that made such a difference, and I always felt more confident after talking with her. When labor began, she was my rock. She guided me through each contraction, suggesting positions, breathing techniques, and hands on support that made the process more manageable. She anticipated my needs before I could even ask and worked with my partner by giving him the confidence to support me. I don’t think my partner and I could have had a more magical experience together. Her calm, grounding presence helped me stay focused and empowered. She reminded me of my strength when I started to doubt myself, and she celebrated each step of progress with me. I truly felt seen, heard, and cared for every moment. Having Karly by my side made my birth experience not only more comfortable but also more meaningful. She gave me the confidence and reassurance I needed, and I am forever grateful. If you are considering a doula, look no further Karly is incredible!

Hello! I’m Eva, a Full-Spectrum Doula proudly serving the Michiana area (Northern Indiana/Southern Michigan). My passion for birth work began when I was a teenager and has only grown stronger over the years. Before becoming a doula, I spent many years supporting families as a full-time nanny, building deep connections with parents and children in my community. I later took my passion for birth work to Hannah’s House of Michiana, where I gained invaluable experience working closely with women in various stages of their reproductive journey. In the Fall of 2022, I experienced one of the most transformative moments of my life when I welcomed my son into the world. His birth ignited a powerful, unshakable calling to support other families through their own birth and postpartum journeys. Since then, I’ve had the honor of stepping into my role as a doula in my local community. I believe every person deserves to be supported through their unique birth experience with respect and compassion. Whether you’re preparing for labor, navigating your postpartum transition, or anything in between, I’m here to offer you non-judgmental, evidence-based support that centers you and your family. You are the expert of your body, your birth, and your choices, and my role is to help protect, advocate for, and support your vision for your journey.

I highly recommend her to anyone who wants solid support, an advocate in their corner and a jovial mood at their birth.

Hi, I am a newly trained birth Doula serving the Michiana area from Kalamazoo to St. Joe to South Bend. I am currently still persuing my certification, but am very eager to jump in whole hearted to the birth world. I have two babies of my own, with two very different birth stories and I know firsthand there will always be a need and place for doula support during pregnancy, labor and delivery, and the postpartum period. I am naturally minded and love physiologic birth but also recognize that each woman is unique and a successful birth is by their own definition. In my free time you'll find me chasing my babies and consuming copious amounts of coffee. I look forward to chatting with you!

Hi, my name is Chante Shine. I am a wife, mother and cancer survivor. It was after my own two wildly different but equally amazing birth experiences I realized that I had a passion for birth. For years afterward, I helped to guide my friends through their birth journeys but after my life changing struggles in 2022 I decided, life is short and there is not a minute to waste! So, in 2023 I decided to make it official and get my Birth Doula Certification. I also went ahead and added Postpartum Doula, Breastfeeding Counselor and Childbirth Educator Certifications to my agenda! I am currently working my way through these classes, and I could not be more excited and thrilled to start working with expecting parents such as yourselves!

Chante is so empowering and knowledgable and I highly recommend her for pre and post birth support!
