My name is Christina Pierre. I am a proud mom of two living in Irvington, New Jersey, a trained doula, and the founder of Bump Bump Baby. My path to supporting growing families is built on a deep foundation of hands-on healthcare. Before launching my own business, I spent years working face-to-face with patients as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), alongside serving as a recreation aide at a nursing home.These roles taught me how to provide compassionate, clinical care, advocate for patient dignity, and bring joy into vulnerable spaces. As a birth doula based in central NJ, my practice is influenced by my experience as a massage therapist for over 30 years. I have broad understanding of the physical challenges facing pregnant and postpartum individuals. I’m certified as Body Ready Method™ professional to address body alignment issues during pregnancy, which can result in a more optimal labor and birth. I also teach an in-person Body Ready Birth™ workshop for birthers and their partners to practice labor positions that can ease the baby’s journey through the pelvis. I prepare my clients with tools to calm their nervous system and release their fears using Hypnobirthing meditations and breathing techniques. As an integral part of the birth team, I provide educational resources, in-person prenatal/postpartum visits and compassionate care during active labor and birth.

The doula meets with the birthing person and their support person to discuss their prenatal needs, birthing preferences, and birthing environment choices - home birth; birthing center; or hospital. The doula also providers referrals to the appropriate medical personnel (primary care, OBGYN, Midwife, specialists, CLC (certified lactation counselor, IBCLC ( International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), etc) when it is determined that any issue(s) are out of the scope of practice of the doula. The doula facilitates communication between the birthing person and the medical team, helping to ensure that the birthing person's preferences and concerns are heard and understood
