Hello everyone, my name is Aniyah Talbert. I am a Birth and Postpartum Doula located in Somerset, New Jersey. My background primarily is in early childhood education and development. And now shifting into social work. My practice tries provides you with emotional support, tools to help advocate for yourself, and an overall sense of community. I aim to help you create a peaceful birthing experience and postpartum experience.

I set out to become a birth doula over 25 years ago after becoming a massage therapist, but I put this career goal on hold until my children became adults. I finally achieved my goal and became certified as a birth doula this year. As a seasoned massage therapist, I offer a broad understanding of a person's physical and emotional needs, especially during this special time as you prepare your body for the birth of your baby.

I am a DONA certified Birth Doula, as well as a placenta specialist. Before becoming a doula, I received a degree in Culinary Arts and have worked in restaurants and bakeries as a chef. I am continually working toward gaining more knowledge and experience to better help my clients. After having my own daughter and learning so much from my experience, I decided to join the birth world so I can help and support others on their journeys to parenthood. I am able to support clients in whichever space they choose for their birth, whether it is a hospital, birth center or their own home. I am dedicated to my clients, supporting and doing whatever I can to make them feel comfortable and in control of their labor experience.

Jaymie is a proud mother of two. After having a VBAC with a doula she decided that a doula was instrumental in having her voice heard during the time of birth. She knew that empowering women during their pregnancy and allowing them to find their voice was something that she was passionate about. Helping families find the calm within using mindfulness, meditation and breath work is only some of the techniques used to manage labor. Going through and utilizing spinning babies and the rebozo are helpful tools in the birthing space. Michelle is the owner of Baby, Please Birth Services Agency located in NJ but with a team serving the metropolitan areas of (NY, PA & CT) as well as Baltimore. She is a certified Doula and certified Childbirth Educator teaching the Bradley Method ®, and her own Holistic Course expressly for The Birth Center of NJ of which she is the Doula Director. Michelle serves on the National Black Doula Association (NBDA) Advisory Board where she revised the doula training curriculum to enhance the needs of Black Doulas working in systemically racist environments. As a NBDA Doula Instructor and Doula Mentor she spends her time providing critical thinking skills for her students to be successful and competent in their fields.
