Julie was born and raised on Long Island and has always loved children which lead her to becoming a performer at Disney World while she was in high school. My name is Fable Rodgers-Kurilenko and i've been a practicing Postpartum Doula(and occasional Birth Doula) for nearly two years after a long history with Nannying and being a Daycare teacher. I became a Doula because I longed to become more connected to families and mothers but within the Daycare setting due to conflicts of interest, was un able to do so. I had been interested in doula work since my early teens. My mother even bought me birth books in high school! That's when I left the daycare setting (returning to nannying for a time while I was in school) and got my doula certification. Later that year I began practicing first in births, then I found that my true love was postpartum. Now I am a mother myself as of last year and can truly understand the importance of postpartum care. My husband and I could not have survived the newborn stage without the help of family, friends (and a doula) and it is such a joy getting to support Mothers and Fathers through the most vulnerable time is their lives.
