For decadesI have worked with expectant and new parents as a childbirth educator (certified with ICEA), doula (certified with DONA and Hypnobabies), Bringing Baby Home educator and a retired nurse. I then moved to Saint Augustine to help my family take care of my beloved grandfather (Pe-Paw.) I lived in Saint Augustine for 28 years and recently moved to Palm Coast Florida. My journey to becoming a doula started as a child with my obsession with the “A Baby Story” tv show on the TLC channel. Life took a different path when I became a teen mom. Now the path has brought me back and I am overjoyed to be working with pregnant women. A long-term goal for me is to become a Midwife. Hi there, I'm Jen, the doula and photographer! I offer maternity, birth and newborn sessions. I am married to my wonderful husband with whom I share seven energetic kiddos, ranging in age from 1 to 12 years! My personal birth experiences, a mix of hospital and home, are what ultimately ignited my passion for helping other women along in their journey to motherhood. It baffled me that so many women don't receive the support and education they deserve. My youngest 3 children were born at home, and I was then able to finally experience how powerfully transformative birth can be when done with absolute support and reverence to the process. It wasn't until the birth of my 7th child, I felt the Lord impress upon my heart to pursue birth work.
