Words can’t fully express how grateful we are to have had Doris as our birth doula. From the very beginning, she brought such a calming, grounded, and nurturing energy into our journey. She took the time to truly get to know us—our fears, hopes, and birth preferences—and made us feel completely supported and empowered every step of the way. During labor, Doris was an absolute rock. She created a peaceful environment, gently guided me through each contraction, and helped my partner feel confident and involved. Her presence was intuitive and comforting—knowing just when to offer words of encouragement, grounding touch, or simply hold space. She honored our birth plan while remaining flexible and wise when things needed to shift. What stood out most was how she held space not just for the physical birth, but for the emotional and spiritual process too. Her care felt ancestral, like something deep and sacred was being honored. Postpartum, she checked in with such genuine care, offering wisdom, warmth, and reassurance when we needed it most. If you’re looking for a doula who is deeply attuned, knowledgeable, and truly walks beside you in love and respect—Doris is it. She made our birth experience not only beautiful, but transformational

Bohdana Korzhan

Hello, my name is Bohdana (she/her), and I became a Doula because being in a supportive role, sympathetically and empathetically meeting you where you are at in your journey, is something I am both proficient and passionate about. I will be by your side as you bring your baby into the world whether at a hospital, birthing center, or in the comfort of your own home. Once baby is born, I will continue to provide you with educational support as well as encouragement and emotional support as you become acquainted with your baby. I will support your infant feeding journey (breastfeeding or otherwise) and offer household organizational support. I have time to get to know YOU, not just your birth preferences. I have time to provide you with as much support as you need throughout your entire journey. I genuinely love supporting others and being an empath means this role comes naturally to me. After birth, both parents and baby need a lot of support. I can do overnight but also daytime 8-hour shifts to help care for baby so that you can get some rest, or on a consultation basis – an informative session on infant care, breastfeeding techniques and restorative care for the parent who gave birth. I feel blessed that as a doula, I am part of such a beautiful moment and environment called birth, where I am able to help enable mothers to help believe in themselves that they strong, beautiful and powerful. Making moms feel loved, supported, cared for, and special during their labours and births is so rewarding. My first languages are Ukrainian and English, but I can also support you in conversational Russian and basic German!

Working with Doula Bohdana was an incredible experience. Her support during our birthing journey was invaluable, making the entire process amazing. Beyond the delivery, she continued to be a pillar of assistance during postpartum appointments. Bohdana provided valuable insights on proper baby feeding and ensured we found moments to rest and recover after giving birth. Highly recommend her for her expertise and genuine care.

Emelia Uwadia

Hi, I’m Emelia. It’s nice to meet you. I’m a birth professional based in Oshawa, ON, with a passion for supporting the whole person and their family through every part of the perinatal journey: emotionally, physically, and mentally. I’m currently certifying as a birth and postpartum doula with DONA International, a fertility doula through Doula School Canada, and a childbirth educator with CAPPA. This allows me to walk with clients through each chapter of their experience in a deeply personal and connected way. My work is grounded in the belief that this season of life deserves care that sees and supports the whole of who you are. Whether you’re preparing for birth, exploring fertility, or finding your rhythm in postpartum, I’m here to offer presence, warmth, and evidence-based support that meets you where you are. I know this time can feel like wandering into a forest without a map, full of beauty but also uncertainty. My hope is that when we work together, you feel safe to pause, to breathe, and to know you’re not alone. I’m here to hold space, to really listen, and to offer tools and guidance to help you move forward with clarity and confidence. You don’t need to have it all figured out. Hi, I’m Tisa. I am a certified labour and Postpartum Doula and proud mom of six beautiful children. I consider myself to be a compassionate person who strives to help you and your family navigate this new exciting chapter of your lives. I strongly believe it is my mission to help you have not only a positive postpartum journey but to help better assist and equip you with all the right tools for success. My passion for birth work began 20 years ago after the birth of my eldest son. Due to a series of events that could have very well crippled me only made me stronger. I was very fortunate to find access to many great regional programs and I met someone who not only poured wisdom into me at a young age but believed I could do great things in this field of work. I will never let my birth trauma define me, rather it has shaped me into who I am today. I am dedicated to providing assistance, support and spreading the message that you are not alone. My role as your doula is to provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support. I am committed to empowering you to make informed decisions. The Postpartum stage isn't a race, it's about picking up the little pieces we may lose along the way. When I am not attending a birth or working overnight postpartum shifts, you can most likely find me in the comfort of my home surrounded by my family. My house is filled with laughter, playful banter, persistent chirps from my Lovebirds and Conure, yapping can be heard from the family Pomeranian; Mochi. I enjoy worship nights held by my church, reading webtoons, soaking up k-dramas and building miniature wooden puzzles and book-nooks.

I am a Doula, Usui Holy Fire® II Reiki Practitioner, and a Certifying Reflexologist with a background as a Personal Support Worker, and Business Administrative Graduate from Loyalist College. I have a true passion for supporting others in any way I can with empathy, love, and care. 6 years ago, a little boy came into my life in a way I did not expect. I had very little support, nobody took the time to be there and educate me properly despite my efforts to ask questions about labour and birth. I really felt alone in the experience… When the time came to give birth the OBGYN I had was in the hospital long enough to break my water and then was “off for the night”. I ended up with some complete stranger, who was rude, yelled at me, and impatient. He didn’t listen to me, and made me feel very uncomfortable! My son ended up coming out very quickly due to receiving an unnecessary episiotomy (I found this out at my 6 week post birth checkup). This resulted in my son not having mucus squeezed out of his lungs and having issues breathing on his own, he had low APGAR scores and was rushed to the NICU with very little communication from the nurses or the doctor while they stitched me up. The pain I had been feeling escalated as I had no baby, no support and a doctor who had no regards for me as a human… He would get frustrated with me every time I flinched involuntarily and tell me to relax while he stitched me up- he did not believe I could feel it. My epidural had failed with my son. I felt everything. The next couple of days in the hospital were a blur.. I felt a little helpless as I dealt with being sore… nobody had the time to show me how to breastfeed (which failed in epic proportions)… nothing was going right. I had all these plans while pregnant… and none of them were working out, nothing I hoped for was happening. This was the start of postpartum depression With my youngest, I knew better and had learned so much along the way from my personal experience. I was wiser, I knew what to ask and how to advocate. I have an incredible drive to be there for others, this is such a crucial time in your life. Nobody should have to feel alone. This is why I have also become an Evidence Based Birth Professional Member. All I needed was support. This is my why. I want to support YOU, no matter the way you need. I want to be there, educate, and help you through it all 🧡 Labour, Birth, and Postpartum.

I don’t even know where to begin in describing how grateful I am for Petra and the incredible support she gave me, my husband, and our son born in April 2024. She was, in every sense of the word, the doula of our dreams. We call her our 'fairy godmother.' We were first-time parents who truly didn’t know what we were doing. Petra walked into our home with a calm, reassuring presence that immediately made us feel safe and supported. Petra never made us feel judged or inadequate — instead, she showed us step by step how to care for our newborn, starting with the first step into our house from the hospital, and my question of, "umm, so where do I put him?". From there, she patiently taught us all the practical skills (feeding, burping, bathing, diapering, soothing, etc.), as we had no idea what we were doing. All the books I read while pregnant did not prepare me for the real thing. Petra prepared us for the real thing. More than the “how-to,” Petra gave us peace of mind. She answered every question with kindness and expertise. She normalized our fears, reassured us when we second-guessed ourselves, and reminded us that we were doing a good job. She also cared for us as parents. She encouraged us to rest, to eat, and to breathe. Her presence lifted so much of the anxiety from those early days and gave us space to bond with our baby rather than drown in uncertainty. Petra was everything we hoped for in a doula: knowledgeable, nurturing, reliable, compassionate, and endlessly patient. She went above and beyond. I can say without exaggeration that she helped us survive and truly enjoy those first weeks as a new family. Suyin also contributed to the post-partum support of our family as my lactation consultant. You really just don't know how difficult breast feeding is until you try it! Suyin helped me with latch, positioning, and confidence. Her visits at our home were comfortable and stress-free, and she helped turned breast-feeding into something I could actually enjoy. I can’t recommend her enough!
