As a Registered Nurse, Certified Sleep Consultant and Certified Postpartum Doula with more than 23 years of full -time night experience, my goal is creating confident parents. Caring for more than 250 newborns has given me a wealth of experience in transitional care of babies into family life. This is accomplished by establishing successful feed/sleep routines, teaching calming techniques and answering the myriad questions that would be in a manual if babies came with one. This enables everyone to get much needed rest much sooner than is typically experienced in this scenario. As a Certified Sleep Consultant, also known as "The Sleep Angel" I also assist families who have not had the benefit of my guidance from the beginning of life with their baby. Tackling issues of sleep disturbance/interruption in older infants/toddlers with gentle, supportive techniques results in peace in the home environment that only sleep can provide. I look forward to meeting and working with you and your little one!

We feel incredibly fortunate to have worked with Kathy. She has been our sleep coach for both of our children, and her experience, wisdom, and calm presence made all the difference. She truly is a baby whisperer. What we appreciated most was how she met us exactly where we were as parents. She never offered a one-size-fits-all approach—instead, she listened, understood our family's needs, and provided thoughtful, practical guidance with a lot patience and kindness. She's incredibly gracious, insightful, and genuinely cares about the families she works with. We always felt supported, encouraged, and confident knowing she was in our corner. We're so grateful for everything she did for our family and recommend to parents looking for compassionate, expert sleep support.

With an extensive background in childcare and family assistance, along with training through DONA International, I offer compassionate, hands-on support during one of life’s biggest transitions—welcoming a new baby. We feel incredibly lucky to have had Leticia as our night doula during these first weeks with our newborn. Looking back, I honestly don’t know how we would have gotten through this postpartum journey without her. What really sets Leticia apart is how much she genuinely cares about our baby and our family. We can tell that she takes care of our baby with so much patience, gentleness, and love. She is attentive to his needs and treats him with warmth, care, and professional knowledge. It feels like our baby can always calm down immediately in Leticia’s hands. Knowing that our baby was in such good hands allowed us to truly relax when Leticia was here at night. That peace of mind is something we cannot put a price on. She is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, calm, reliable, and dependable. Her communication is also exceptional. She is clear and precise, but never cold or clinical. We always felt completely comfortable asking her questions, no matter how small or repetitive they might have seemed. We really appreciate how approachable and generous Leticia has been with her guidance and how willing she is to answer all of our questions. We are so grateful for everything she has done for us and for our baby. Leticia is truly outstanding at what she does, and I cannot recommend her enough. Any new parent would be incredibly fortunate to have her supporting them through those precious, exhausting, and sometimes difficult first weeks with a newborn.

Hello! I’m Naoko. I am a Japanese-trained midwife, birth and postpartum doula, lactation counselor, childbirth educator, and mother of four. Before moving to the United States, I worked as a midwife in Japan, supporting families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Since moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, I have continued supporting families as a doula with compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized care. My approach is centered on the person giving birth. I believe every birthing person deserves to feel heard, respected, informed, and supported in making decisions that are right for them and their family. I draw on both my medical knowledge and my personal experience raising four children to provide practical, compassionate, and individualized support. I welcome families of all backgrounds, races, cultures, gender identities, and sexual orientations, including LGBTQ+ families. I support a wide range of birth preferences and experiences, including unmedicated birth, epidural birth, induction, VBAC, and cesarean birth. I also offer childbirth education, breastfeeding and lactation guidance, prenatal yoga, and bilingual support in English and Japanese. My goal is to help each family feel confident, supported, and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey.

I reached out for support because I was feeling really anxious about attempting a TOLAC. I wasn’t sure if I should go for it, but after having many honest conversations, I felt completely heard and supported. That helped me make a decision I truly felt good about. On the day of my delivery, she came right away. Her bright encouragement and Naoko’s calming presence helped me shift from fear to confidence. In the end, I had a successful VBAC, and it turned into the best birth experience I could have hoped for. I’m so grateful I chose Naoko’s support and would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering a TOLAC or VBAC.

I believe every birthing person should have the right to a trauma free birth experience, where their beliefs, values and goals are heard and respected. Birthing bodies are powerful. My goal as a doula is to remind you of the power you hold. I have worked in the medical field for 13 years as a Certified Medical Assistant, Lead Medical Assistant Instructor, recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and gained Certification as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. I am a very motivated and determined person. As a dedicated mother and proud African American woman, my heart is deeply rooted in the wellbeing of our community. The glaring disparities in maternal health that disproportionately affect women of color are not just statistics to me; they are urgent calls to action that resonate with my own experiences and those of my loved ones. I am committed to leveraging my knowledge, resources, and voice to initiate and support sustainable changes within the healthcare system. My goal is to ensure that equitable, high-quality maternal care is not a privilege, but a standard afforded to all mothers, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Through community outreach, advocacy, and education, I strive to contribute to a world where maternal mortality in underserved communities is not a grim expectation but a rare exception. My mission is to fight for a future where every mother’s life is given the value it unequivocally deserves.

Sheila Aldis

Hi, I’m Sheila. I’m a faith based birth & postpartum doula, photographer, and most importantly, a mom who knows how deeply personal this season of life can be. Becoming a mother myself changed the way I see birth. I remember the emotions, the questions, the vulnerability, and the overwhelming feeling of wanting someone beside you who simply gets it. That experience is what led me to doula work — because I wanted to become the person I wish every mother could have in her corner: someone who listens without judgment, stays calm when things feel overwhelming, helps you understand your options, and reminds you of your strength when you need it most. With over six years of experience working with children and families, professional doula training, continued mentorship, and my own experience as a mom, I bring both knowledge and genuine heart into the room. I’m not there to take over your birth or tell you how it should go — I’m there to learn you, support your wishes, help you feel prepared, and be the steady presence you can lean on. And because I’m also a photographer, I have a special love for capturing the little moments you may not even realize are happening — the first touch, the tears, the tiny details, and the way your family changes in an instant. My packages can also include birth photography, postpartum meal prep, and a postpartum visit, so my support doesn’t simply end when your baby arrives. I want you to feel like you found your person someone you can text, laugh with, cry with, ask the “is this normal?” questions, and feel completely comfortable being yourself around. If you’re looking for someone who will care for you like a person, not just a client, I’d love to meet you. 🤍

Hi! I’m Sheralka, a certified Postpartum & Infant Care Doula, mother, fine artist, and founder of Genesis Postpartum Care. I provide compassionate overnight postpartum and newborn support to families throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. My passion for postpartum care comes from both my professional caregiving background and my personal journey into motherhood. Becoming a mother deepened my understanding of just how important it is for families to feel supported, reassured, and cared for during those early weeks. My approach is gentle, attentive, and judgment-free. I believe every family deserves care that respects their individual needs, parenting preferences, and values. Whether I’m tending to your newborn, offering a listening ear, or helping you get some much-needed rest, my goal is to bring peace of mind and a comforting presence into your home. Beyond postpartum care, I’m also a fine artist specializing in hyperrealistic portraiture, with a particular passion for capturing the beauty of newborns and motherhood. Through Genesis Postpartum Care, I bring these two passions together by offering families the opportunity to commission meaningful, personalized artwork that celebrates their journey into parenthood. I believe the beginning of parenthood deserves to be supported, cherished, and remembered. I would be honored to be part of your family’s journey!

My path to postpartum work began with my own experience as a new mother of twins. I know firsthand what it means to be undone by those early weeks — the exhaustion, the emotion, the strange beauty of it — and I know what a difference it makes to have someone steady beside you. That's what I'm here to offer. For most of human history, new mothers were surrounded by community support for weeks after birth. That's no longer the norm — but it doesn't mean the need has gone away. It just means most families are navigating this time without the help they were always meant to have. My approach is relational, responsive and practical. I bring genuine care, capable hands-on support, and a deep reverence for this time in your life. I believe the postpartum weeks deserve to be more than just survived. With the right support around you, they can be something you look back on with real tenderness. That's what I want for you! I'm a certified postpartum doula trained through Cornerstone Birthwork, a twin mom of 6-year-olds, and someone who finds meaning in the everyday practices that sustain life — good food, unhurried presence, and a little humor when it's needed.

It is with great joy that I recommend our postpartum doula, Kelly Franson, www.daymoondoula.com. We hired Kelly to support our family for three months postpartum as we navigated life with our second child. Kelly began her work with us the day we came home from the hospital. We walked into a home full of flowers, homemade tea blends, beautiful snacks, warm porridge on the stove, and a bedroom prepared for rest and care. Over the days and weeks, Kelly became my companion; she listened as I processed my birth, navigated breastfeeding challenges, and learned how to care for both a toddler and a newborn. I was fragile, and she was steady. She is a creative thinker, helping two sleep-deprived parents find more ease in our home, whether through practical support (how to set up our space more effectively) or more nuanced guidance (how to support our toddler through such a significant transition with the arrival of a new sibling). Other words that come to mind when I think of Kelly are patient, warm, present, reliable, wise, and funny. What better qualities to have alongside you in the postpartum period? With her, I was not alone. Because I now have two postpartum experiences to draw from—one without Kelly, and one (thankfully) with—I can clearly see the tremendous value she brings to the intense and beautiful fourth trimester. Please message me if you have any questions!

My name is Rebecca Garcia and I am thrilled you are seeking out a Doula for your journey. I have a strong energetic pull towards this life changing work, and I am so honored to be pursuing my passion as a birth worker. I love all things birth and feel that my strongest assets are listening, empathy, providing resources and cooking homemade meals for others. I tell all my clients, if there is a birth I am there. With all the stigma and negative depictions in the media surrounding birth, I want to ensure that my clients feel secure in all their decisions without any judgments. This Is Your Body, Your Birth & Only You Get To Make The Decisions That Works Best For You & Your Baby. I have two spirited little ones of my own; ages 4 and 6. I had doulas for both births and feel as though they made my birthing journey undeniably memorable. They feed me, hit pressure points during labor, loved me, educated me and most importantly encouraged me to find my voice and strength. These are the experiences I wish to provide to my future clients. I have experience in homebirths, birth centers & hospital settings. I understand that ones birthing journey is a sacred space, and wish to only support and offer any resources that may help aid in this time. Rebecca was very thorough in the education she provided to us as first time parents in the lead up to the birth. There were 4 in depth sessions which were really appreciated and learned tons during. It alleviated some nervousness around giving birth. During the birth, she came over just before the baby was born at the hospital and gave me a massage and really helped advocate for my wishes as predefined in the birth plan (which she helped me develop). After the baby was born, we had a few additional sessions with her. She brought over bone broth, did a baby massage, and really made the day special for me with a tray of yummy treats. Additionally, she did a closing of the bones ceremony. It's really when i realized that in becoming a mom I went through a transition and a change that was more than I really understood pre-birth. I remain super grateful to Rebecca for the wonderful care she provided me during our time together. Thank you for all the training and education prior to the birth and in taking care of me post partum. I wished I had more time with her!
