I also believe that the type of care and support you receive during your labor affects postpartum. Being heard, understood and ultimately, having a positive birth experience is the key for the foundation and first steps into your postpartum journey. Hello, I am Carmen Victoria, a local Doula in South Jersey. Originally from Havana, Cuba, but somewhere along the way ended up in Kingston, Jamaica. Over time, my education and family ended up in Florida. I came to Tallahassee and graduated twice from Florida A&M University, most recently with my Master of Public Health. My field of study and passion is Maternal and Infant Health. In 2022, I took a leap of faith and completed the Doula Workshop Training from Capital City Doula. I am proud to say I reside in Tallahassee with my beautiful family. I hope to continue to service the community and help all mothers feel comfortable and confident with their birth process.

Hi I’m Keely and I’m a birth doula serving South Jersey & the Greater Philly area. I only take one client per month to really make sure you have someone you can lean on for anything. I believe every woman should have a doula and that support on this level can change a potentially nerve wracking experience into something empowering and beautiful.

After many years of soul searching, Stacy created Hold My Heart in an effort to combine her passion for caretaking with her education and experience in business administration. Stacy is trained as a birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, reproductive health counselor, and breastfeeding peer counselor through the Community Doulas of South Jersey and Uzazi Village and is in the process of enrolling as a provider through NJ FamilyCare. Stacy loves to be a calming and uplifting presence in the lives of those around her. She also loves to make people laugh. Stacy is a mother of two awesome little girls, and loves to play volleyball, watch movies, and host get-togethers with her friends and family.

I’m an activist with a bit of a sticker (and hat!) obsession, and an addiction to reading nonfiction. I am a Birth Arts International trained doula and childbirth educator. I’m always learning; it’s one of my favorite things to do. I’ve taken birth photography training with Birth Becomes You, where some of my images have also been featured! I also take several doula webinars and workshops every year to stay up to date and informed. Truthfully, my biggest regret with both of my births is that I didn’t hire a photographer. For my first, there is one picture of me in labor and one photo where it’s unclear whether the baby is even on my chest yet or not. For my second, a midwife took photos on a cell phone camera (which was awful!). Every single one is blurry, but I at least ended up with something that time! The thing I underestimated (twice) is just how much I wanted those pictures to look at in the following days, weeks, months, years to come. How I would long to relive the experience without much to bring me back. These are the two most important days of my life, of course I want pictures to remember them by! I often wonder how much of an impact that could have made for my mental health in those first few days and weeks. Birth photography isn’t just about the photos– it’s a living, breathing story. It’s a story of transformation for you and everyone involved. It’s a story you’ll want to pass down to your kids.
