have been a doula since 2007 and have had the opportunity to attend a variety of births including medicated, non-medicated, multiples, VBAC’s and home-births. I use many tools to help a woman cope in labor including massage, pressure points, movement, aromatherapy and I am trained in using a TENS unit and have units that I let my clients use for their labor. I love teaching some of the tricks I have learned over the years to the dad and helping him feel a part of the birth. My goal is for the mom and dad to feel like “WE did it” as they hold their sweet baby. I feel passionate about a woman’s power and ability to have the kind of birth experience she longs for. I am a certifying birth and postpartum doula and a mother of three. I felt called to this work after the birth of my first daughter while living abroad with my husband in South America. Through that experience—even with a great husband—I became deeply passionate about ensuring that no mother has to navigate pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period alone. The early weeks and months of motherhood can be overwhelming, and women need the support of other women during this transformative season. While raising my family and working as an administrative assistant, I have pursued my passion for supporting new moms and families as a Family Life Coach with Colorado Family Life Center (CFLC). Through the Confident Beginnings Program, I walk alongside first-time parents as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. I guide parents as they learn about breastfeeding, bonding, milestones, sleep, and so much more. Officially becoming a birth and postpartum doula was a natural extension of this work. In my free time, I love spending time with my family playing board games, going camping, and discussing the latest sasquatch sightings. I run a small at-home bakery called Bun in the Oven Bakery, where my daughters and I sell pies and muffins at the Orchards Farmers Market during the summer.
